This hotel is a regular stop when we travel to Italy, and we usually stay for just 1 night. This year was no exception. We find the hotel pleasant, welcoming. The food is excellent and the hotel is in a nice area, where you can go for a walk among the ever present vines. We were in luck as we had had some less than perfect weather earlier, but in Baden-Baden the sun was out, the temperatures around 25 degrees C. The thought occurred to us to try and get another night. The people at reception were very helpful and yes, an extra night was possible. But one thing led to another. We wanted to stay longer still, but the hotel was booked solid. However, in the nick of time someone cancelled a reservation and we could add another two nights, albeit in another room. That meant moving, but the staff were very helpful. All we had to do was gather our loose items and drop those in a suitcase. Our unpacked clothes we could leave lying or hanging, and while we spend a day in nearby Strasbourg the hotel people moved us into the other room. It didn’t end there as we moved to yet another room after prolonging our stay one more time. Again our stuff was moved for us and all we had to do was enjoy our holiday. The Alsace region of France is nearby. I mentioned Strasbourg, but places like Colmar, Kaysersberg, Riquewihr are not to be missed. And Baden-Baden itself is a treat as well. In short: the hotel is perfect, and it’s situated in a nice spot. If you visit this area, this is where you want to be.

Stayed here for one night whilst competing in 2019 Screwball Rally. Arrived early evening after a gruelling days drive, check in was efficient and pleasant receptionist. I stayed in the themed Capaia room with an African influence. Dined in the hotel’s restaurant with bread followed by the most delicious rump steak cooked to perfection washed down with a carafe or three of local wine. The service was first class with our friendly and engaging waiter. Breakfast the next morning was first class buffet style offering. Check out was friendly and professional. As the previous insights wine was so good we made the point of seeking out the nearby vineyard and winery to stock up on a few bottles to take back home 🍷

An excellent hotel a few miles outside Baden-Baden where we had spent the day. The hotel seemed oddly situated in a quiet residential area but it proved to be a good choice. Our room was very comfortable and modern, with all the amenities you would expect, and included air conditioning which was welcome as it had been in the mid thirties. There was an inviting balcony to sit on. We dined there and also had a substantial breakfast which included hot food. There is a gym too (we didn't use it)
