We had a great stay in the tree topper lodge. It was clean and comfortable. Location was good for going to the falls and attractions around it. Free breakfast was great. The employees in restraunt and front office where very nice and welcoming. Thanks had a great time.

We were very concerned about travel with the virus getting worse in Florida and Georgia. But, after calling Forrest Hills, they assured me they were taking it very seriously. So, having been before and enjoying the facilities, we decided to go again. We had another wonderful 4 days there. The breakfast buffet was no longer serve yourself, but servers with masks and gloves serving the guests. Housekeeping did not come to room after the initial check in, but anything you needed was provided. The resort looked great, pool was open, flowers everywhere. Again, this place gives great value for a multiple day stay.

We returned here for our 40th anniversary and everyone and everything was fantastic. All of the employees from the owner on down made our stay a wonderful experience. It was great to be able to unwind and relax there

Check-in is 4:00 PM, My husband asked if we could check in earlier and they we could check in at 2: 00 PM at $40 extra charge. We find out at breakfast the next morning there were only 13 guests, in the whole complex. The last time we were there we had complimentary breakfast and dinner in the same on-site restaurant. The first morning there were so few people there that we had to eat in group room and got hand-written paper menus for our breakfast choices. The second morning, there were more guests groups and they had the buffet open with a server, who said they were short-staffed, and we got our breakfast and had to walk to the Secret Garden to eat. The Secret Garden was open for Dinner both nights. The prices were outrageous. I had a 10oz Ribeye steak, watery garlic potatoes and spinach, which shared with my husband and he had two lobster tails. The lobster tails were about 2 bites a piece, with garlic potatoes and spinach. I had a beer and my husband had wine. The total bill was $108.00 + a $20.00 tip! The second night I had a grilled chicken sandwich with fries and my husband had a double meat hamburger with fries. We had iced tea, and we bought a $32.00 of local Pinot Grigio to share with another couple, and our total was about $80+ $15.00 tip. We did go to the pool both days. I don't think maintenance cleaned the pool daily. The pools was clean, but we had to clean leaves and dead bugs as we swam. Also the outside pool shower which was a nice feature three years ago, was barely visible due to over growth of bushes and vines. Also the staff at the office told us there was a security camera (which we saw in the gazebo) and some of workers talked about they couldn't believe some of the things that went on in the pool. Visible areas of our cabin were clean, but upon trying to open windows which were screened, they were all painted shut. The hot tub was heavily treated with bromine and the smell encompassed the whole cabin. We shut the doors to the hot tub area before going to bed and put wet towels under the bottom of the door and we woke up with scratchy throats. We opened up the door to the porch in the morning to try to air the cabin out. We decided to eat lunch on the porch and the table was filthy. We cleaned it with Clorox Wipes. The chairs did appear to be new and were not dirty. The cloth couch seemed old and we placed towels on the seats to sit on. Then we could't get the TV to work, the TV came on, but we couldn't get the channels they boated to have Showtime and HBO. We always bring our own pillows to sleep on and the bed was comfortable, and we also through the top cover off the bed because it didn't look like it have been cleaned lately. The shower worked well. The refrigerator was so cold there was chunks of ice our containers iced tea. On a positive note, the staff was friendly. Our two-night stay cost $519.52 which included breakfast, but not dinner. We had been here 3 or 4 times over the years and after this visit, I doubt we will ever book there again.

SAVE your money, your time, and your lungs... BLACK MOLD EVERYWHERE in Cabin 2. Ceiling above the hot tub area extending to the peak of the bedroom ceiling. Wood was wet and soaked through from above. The bathroom vent was caked in dirt and mold, mold on the wooden drawers in the bathroom as well as under the sink and around the base of the shower. PTAC filters were covered in dirt and pet hair, dehumidifier water holding tank COVERED in black mold, on top and in the well, which was dispersing mold thorough out the cabin. We instantly reported this to the front desk, who sent their maintenance person to the cabin to spray the area " which should take care of it"...he then wiped the area down, causing God only knows what to fall into the hot tub. When we called the desk to have the tub cleaned out, we were told they had 16 people checking in that day, so no guarantees on getting it done for a couple of days. We offered to clean the hot tub ourselves, since we wanted to use it, if they would get it drained. Spent 2 hours cleaning the tub, as well as scrubbing the bathroom and cleaning the PTAC a/c filters. Went to bed that evening, being awakened by my husband at 3a.m. because he couldn't catch his breath, spending the next 2 hours in the fresh air outside before we could return indoors. Went to the desk when they opened, they offered us another cabin, but with a King bed and a sofa bed, not workable with our family. After the second night, I went to the desk, again, spoke with Suzanne, who was great, and she let me know that another cabin was checking out in the morning and she will get us moved as soon as it was cleaned. After showing her the pictures, she was horrified. Spent another horrible night on the porch instead of the bed. When I went to the desk to get the new keys, Michelle was there, and had this air about her that she didn't believe us. SO I whipped out the pictures I had taken, she then stopped, and begrudgingly refunded 2 nights total. (The 2nd night refund I had to remind them about.) She also had a side note that the people who were in the cabin last, didn't say anything, and they were here for a week too....well my response was, maybe they didn't realize was, but if someone was there, why in the heck was their SO MUCH BUILDUP of dirt and dismay????? After we changed cabins, we were ignored and blatantly discarded, as well as the talk of the dining room staff members. Michelle saw us at breakfast the next morning and went out of her way to avoid us. Never once acknowledging what had happened and asking if we were doing better and how were things with the move. Professionalism/customer service is not their forte, in my opinion. As for the amenities, make sure you have plenty on your agenda off site. The pool is too small to accommodate actual capacity, the volleyball area had grass growing from the sand, nets were frayed and torn. Horseshoe pits were all all overgrown. The big fire pit is basically reserved for those staying in the Lodge area, not for cabin renters. Whoever handles their PR is a dang photoshop genius!!! Fraudulent advertisement is putting it mildly. We had been planning this trip for a couple of years, and beyond disappointed with the reality. Beyond the cabin condition they also falsify the description of amenities, as well as the treatment we received from Michelle the Owner, and some staff, after reporting the issues. This was by far the WORST vacation experience we've ever had, and we will NEVER visit this "resort" again.

This is Michele. I am as disappointed in your stay as you are. I was surprised by the issues you found in your cabin. When I saw your pictures there was no question about what to do. Our maintenance manager happened to be also standing there and those issues were treated and fixed immediately upon your moving to another cabin. The housekeeper in charge of your cabin is no longer here. I'm sorry if you mistook any of my actions ad avoidance or lack of care as that's definitely not how I felt. We are a family owned business and the happiness of every guest is always our goal.
