After having house guests for 2 months, we were ready to get away for some relaxation and quiet. Boy, did the Sheep Farm Cottage fit the bill! So cozy and comfortable with great amenities (flat screen TV, hot tub, king size bed, washer/dryer). We so enjoyed sitting on the screened-in porch in the evening, too. The kitchen was just the right size, as was the bathroom. The cottage is easy driving distance to Dahlonega and Helen, GA and several of the state parks in the area. Even tho we were there for just a long weekend, the cabin would be great for a longer stay, too. A suggestion: an additional blanket is needed for the cold fall nights, and a small cookie sheet would be great. Thanks for a wonderful weekend - we'll come again!

My husband and I wanted to take a weekend trip to get away from our daily stresses (work, life, 3 kids), and we decided that Helen, GA, would be the perfect getaway. The hotels in Helen are rundown and very overpriced, so we decided to try to get a cabin for a reasonable rate. When I stumbled upon Cozy Moose Cabins, I was very excited by the prices and the amenities and booked Camp Pine Knot immediately. The photos looked great, but I can tell you, they do not do this beautiful cabin justice. The inside was clean, roomy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The cabin has two bathrooms (which is so much better than sharing one), a bedroom with a king bed, a game room, full kitchen, and living room. There were books, board games, DVDs, foosball, air hockey, and satellite TV for fun indoors, as well as a grill, hot tub (which we used both nights and was SO wonderfully relaxing), horseshoes, porch swing, and picnic table for outdoors. The cabin was in between two others, but each are well-distanced so you get lots of privacy. The cabin was located down a dirt path off in the woods, but it's still convenient to everything -- truly the best of both worlds. The one complaint I had is the bed...The mattress was pretty low and it was hard to get over the wooden railings. The mattress was also a bit firmer than I like, but I never like strange beds much anyways. Everything else was fabulous though. The cabin was clean, cozy, and an excellent location for a couple's retreat. A family of four would also have plenty of space (there is a foldout couch), but unfortunately, we have a family of five, so we will have to choose a larger cabin for a family getaway. The price was excellent, the cabin was exceptional, and we had a wonderful time. The next time I want to get away from it all, I am definitely choosing Cozy Moose Cabines!

Camp Pine Knot was very clean and comfy. We enjoyed a hot tub, foosball, and air hockey, and just relaxing in front of the fire. We were given a very reasonable rate. It seems to be standard that cabins are not quite ready at 4:00, as they are still cleaning and changing water in the hot tubs (It's good to know they do that), but they will accommodate you. The owners seem to be nice people and willing to work with you. One complaint is that I was led to believe they provide the firewood, but that is not really what they mean. You pay $4.00 a bundle, which includes 4 logs. : ( They just have it on the porch for you.
