Blinds are old and allow the sun to blaze through the windows at 6:30am. No curtains - easy fix here if they would but I have seen this on numerous reviews. The beautiful pool in the picture was closed the entire stay. The indoor pool, spa and the outdoor pool was closed the majority of our stay. The fee was $172.00 to use the amenities and it was a total waste of my money. We could have played putt putt or slid on the water slide. The one day we did get to use the hot tub there was a lady watching from a tv and instructing people the entire relaxing??? time. Also the decor of the unit was rules posted everywhere. They care alot about how you treat their property but totally disrespected the fact I spent a lot of money and they could not even replace the torn net on the ping pong table. The unit was dirty trash under the couch, beds are uncomfortable, carpet is filthy, baseboards have obviously never been cleaned. I will never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone else either

If I didn't have a handicapped husband, I would have been more than happy with the two bedroom unit we stayed in. It was well maintained, had adequate space, very clean and a beautiful view looking over the lake . The bathroom was a challenge with a tub. My husband's challenge is lifting his leg to get in the tub. The toilet is very low, so if you have hip or knee problems it can be a challenge. My husband can only walk with a walker. I called the resort several times before booking the unit to ask about the access to the unit for handicap. They told me he would be able to walk directly from the parking to the inside of the unit with no stairs, however, they didn't tell me the access was a very steep sidewalk with a 90 degree curve. I had to walk in front of the walker holding it to keep it from getting away from him. On going up, I held onto his belt to stead him. Because of the difficulty it presented for him to go and come from the condo, he spent most of the week in the condo and I cooked for every meal. I had also ask when calling before booking about use of a kayak or canoe. I was told to use either it was $6.00 per day and you had to pay it for the week, so I paid before arriving $42.00, relieved to have a kayak or canoe available for the whole week as I normally paddle 10-15 miles per week. When I arrived, I'm told the kayak and canoe was $15.00 per hour, the $42.00 was for the privileges to rent boat or horse and use the activity facility, swimming pools. I was very disappointed between the unit not having good access for my husband and I couldn't do my desired activity without paying a ridiculous amount. As well, the boat house boy doesn't have a set schedule when he will be there. I cut my loses; called WildWood Outfitters to paddled the Chattahoochee River for $40.00 for the whole day, shuttle included. I also love to hike and was looking forward to the two trails I was given maps to hike within the resort when I checked in. These maps must be many years old and no one from staff to security seemed to know where their trailheads were. Finally I was told I could hike the horse trails after 4 pm. There is no marked trail as per their map with pink ribbons along the way; I instead followed horseshoe prints. There is plenty of hiking, waterfalls, historical interest in this area; being a nature lover, I had a nice week after I got over the disappointments of being misinformed.

Country hideaway was a beautiful property, a lake, peaceful, activities, and friendly people. The furniture may be dated, but who cares.. in the N. Georgia mountains, who will be sitting around inside? Not me. So much to do here, and come back to the comfortable condo to rest after exploring this area all day.

The room had an excellent view of the lake and mountains. Loved the swing on the balcony. The staff was great and very good security at the gate. The only complaint was the living room furniture and carpet were dirty. It looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. The kitchen and bathrooms were very clean. The grounds were very well maintained and beautiful.

Had a 2 bedroom unit. Very clean and spacious. Quiet area. Has a security guard at the entrance to the road leading to the condominiums. Just don't let anyone enter without providing information on staying there. I like that. Unit had a porch with a swing and picnic table and also had a view of a lake. Would definitely stay again.
