I chose this hotel because we were visiting St.Simon’s and Jekyll Island and needed 2 extra nights. We wanted an indoor pool because the weather in early March is so unpredictable. There are no hotels on the islands with indoor pools. This stay at Hampton Inn and Suites in Brunswick was disappointing. The pool and hot tub were out of order and one of the elevators was out of order. The employees were all pleasant but the room was lacking. There was tape on the sofa, the pillows were flat, the mattress was awful- it was so thin that it slid every time you sat on the edge of the bed because it had no weight to it. Someone was smoking weed nearby and our room wreaked. Breakfast was pretty typical- eggs, pork sausage, waffles, toast, highly sugared yogurt, apples and bananas were all gone. This place is so tired and needs to be knocked down and rebuilt- pretty much like the surrounding area. Don’t stay here.

We take pride in our guest satisfaction and these mistakes are not in line with our Hamptonality philosophy. Also, as part of our continuous strive for perfection, The issue in our pool & hot tub have been reported to Jeff Pool who managed overseeing our pool area. Per company, they are waiting for the part to be delivered. All discrepancies you mentioned in our room will be share to our housekeeping inspector and supervisor. You deserve the best and we will make sure that you will get it with us. Thank you for raining this matter and giving us an opportunity to perform even better.

Hotel's Favourite
stayed here on the way back from a cruise. Most of the hotels were booked due to the July 4 holiday, but we were able to get a suite here. Room as nice and clean, but a little pricey $200/nite. Cleaning crew woke us up way before check out time.

This is the best Hampton Inn we have stayed with in recent memory. We checked in at about 8 pm and in many similar hotels it is “staff light” in the evening but not at this hotel. Trish at the front desk was particularly helpful and she suggested a shower chair for my husband who has mobility issues. The chair was promptly brought to our very large studio suite. We spent an extremely comfortable night in a very clean room. The only suggestion I would make is a TV channel guide would be helpful Breakfast was standard but tasty and once again it was well staffed. The coffee was very good as well. We highly recommend this hotel!

We typically choose Hamptons based on cleanliness and comfort. This particular Hampton was ok but not as solid as the usual. The sheets and towels had way too much starch which resulted in them being very scratchy. The beds were not particularly comfortable. The men’s lobby bathroom had no toilet paper in a couple of stalls. The water had a particularly bad smell (chlorine, maybe???) and terrible taste when we brushed out teeth. Walls seemed thinner than other Hampton Inns. At night we heard police sirens and our neighbors. The mini-fridge also had food left in it from the previous guest. On the bright side, front desk staff at check in (Trish) and other woman at check out (didn’t catch her name) were both very friendly. For $177/night it seemed pricey for what we got. For a one night stay it could have been worse, but it also could have been a lot better.

Chose this hotel as our "stopover" for our Orlando, FL to Myrtle Beach, SC drive. Got an upgraded 1King Junior Suite room for me and my wife and another room, a 2 Queen for our daughter. For our purpose, no complaints and happy with our "stopover". We were able to sleep well and had a just enough breakfast before we resumed our drive to SC. Able to meet and had a short chat with the GM (Kabayan! you'll know) and she was very nice. Very attentive to guests' needs and questions.

We stayed here in October while driving to Florida. We have been staying here for many years. As soon as we entered the room, we could smell that a dog had stayed in this room and since it had rained for a few days before, it smelled like a wet dirty dog ! We advised the reception desk and they lent us some Febreze air freshener, which helped for a few hours. The following morning, we returned the freshener and were told that only dog owners with a Hilton Diamond sttus are admitted in this room. She gave us an insulting discount of $25 on a $ 185 charge ! It used to be that you did not ay i you are not satisfied ! Times have changed and this was probably our last stay at this hotel.

Hotel guests were loud late at night. Hotel speakers outside above entrances were loud - there was one above the back door, and our room window was above it. It was so loud, we could not sleep. Asked attendant at front desk if they could be turned down, and she said yes. But that never happened. Bathroom was dirty with hair all over it and what looked like fecal matter on the toilet and seat.

We travel with pets and was happy to find another Hampton Inn that had such a high rating. We stayed in room #322. When we arrived in the room, it had a noticeable odor of a deodorant spray, but an underlaying odor of a dog that needed a bath. The room was very cold and when we turned the thermostat up to a comfortable temperature the dog odor became very noticeable. Front desk staff was busy with another guest when I went down to voice my concerns, after waiting a bit, I decided not to wait any further and went back to room #322 and put up with the odor. I had just driven 12 hours and was tired. Carpet stunk as did the curtains and A/C unit needed cleaning. We never received our normal email review opportunity from the hotel management and I finally contacted the Hilton Honors program and voiced my displeasure with having to pay the routine pet fee when the room had not been cleaned properly for quite a long time. Hilton Honors refunded the partial points I had used for the room, but not the pet fee. Check your room if you are staying with a pet at this hotel, they aren't cleaning the pet designated rooms like they should be. And please bath your dog out of consideration for others before staying at any hotel.

This was our first bad experience with Hampton Inn. When we travel with our dog we always sought out Hampton Inn as they were clean and very hospitable to pets. I never read reviews because I had always been delighted. After this disappointing stay I will now read reviews going forward. The room price was quite high compared to what we paid the night before at another Hampton Inn and the pet fee was very expensive, not nominal. I found it dirty... never before .I asked for a room change... it was impossi ble. I asked to speak with a manager and no one ever contacted me. Overall, a disappointment and on our next trip to Florida we will find a different hotel in Brunswick or stop at another town.

Large, clean, comfortable room (king suite). Good sized mini-fridge with freezer is a great amenity when on a longer trip with cooler items. You could potentially use this hotel as a "home base" for a multi-day stay if you're visiting the Georgia coast.
