The Pirate Hotel is magic for little kids, under 10. That and the rides are tailored for that age range. In addition to the regular attractions the pontoon boat ride with Capt. Rue is a must addition The pontoon ride is particualrly good for the kids They loved it

Other than the pirate decoration, the hotel has nothing special at all and it is similar to a roadside motel. The rooms are ok, but breakfast, lunch, and dinner are a nightmare. The restaurant has no capacity for the number of rooms/guests; If you want to eat you have to make a reservation weeks or days before, if not the only option is to go and eat in a restaurant outside. For breakfast, you have to make most of the time a 1-hour line with everybody crowded outside the restaurant. The hotel does not have any decent option for evening snacks or meals, only those vending machines. Really bad, overcrowded. There is no reason to stay there if you are not going to have good service. Stay outside in a better quality hotel!!!!

Staying at this hotel single-handedly ruined our vacation. We checked in at the front desk and left our bags with them. We went to the theme park and enjoyed our day. They sent us a text and email telling us our room was ready. We finished enjoying our day at the park, and when we got back to the hotel, soaking wet from the water park, they had given our room away. We had booked it with a card on file and checked in, and they still gave it away. There were at least four other families in the lobby in the same predicament. It must be standard operating procedure for them to maximize profit. We had to wait hours for them to find a room for us. They offered nothing to accommodate us in the meantime, and we didn't have our bags. We had to go find towels from their pool just to dry off and keep our kids warm. They also said they offered free breakfast when we booked, which would be a nice perk before a day at a theme park. The line for a table was an hour and a half long though. After we waited forty-five minutes, they told us we could just order and they could give us breakfast in a to go bag. We ate it standing up in the lobby. Just an absolute miserable experience, especially given what they charged us for the room. Do not stay here. Stay anywhere else off property for a third of the price and take an Uber to Legoland.

I paid for the flexible cancellation but still had a very difficult time canceling. You can only cancel by phone and I have been on hold for over 30 mins already,. Very disappointing!! I am over a week out from my vacation so well within the limits.
