The cottage was older but fairly clean and quiet. We enjoyed our time there. It was also fairly conveniently located to the beaches. Some pieces of information: 1. This is located between Turtle Beach and Crescent/Siesta Key Beach. Turtle Beach is about 1 mile and

Stayed here for the second time and enjoyed each visit. Returning for a third time in May. We love the Tortuga place because it overlooks the lagoon and has a patio. This site is very convent to St. Armands Circle, as well as Bradenton where we spent ten years

First the chaos is the Sarasota area and the amount of traffic, the bungalows are the oasis. Quiet, quaint and comfortable. Needs a little updating, a constant issue in the Florida tropics, but so worth it when in need of the restorative benefits of a vacation.

Are there washing machines and dryers on the property? Any chance there are blenders in the kitchens?
There are washing machines in the office, but not for public use. They don't have blenders.

Yes, we have some beach chairs and umbrellas that can be used by guests. Siesta Key beach is about 3 miles north of us. There is a free trolley that runs every 30 minutes that can easily take you there.

By "at the beach" do you mean the little dock area of the property or Turtle Beach, which is the closest? Either is likely fine. We had friends come by and hang at the pool with us. Just remember there are other guests and they may join. :-) BTW a lot of folks go to Turtle Beach to watch the sunset. It's phenomenal.

Do you allow pets (2 cats)?
Hi Jeanne, no unfortunately we are not a pet friendly property. If you're looking for pet friendly accommodations I would contact the Chamber of Commerce at 941-349-3800 to see whats available on the Key.
