After staying at Hampton Inn and Suites down the road five times, and after issues during our last stay there, we decided to try Homewood Suites on Cattleman Road this trip and were glad we did! Beautiful hotel in every way with every amenity (including makeup mirrors)! Thoroughly enjoyed our suites and the entire gorgeous immaculate facility. Another plus was the hotel's proximity to the shops and restaurants in the area. The only suggested improvements (minor ones) are to alternate scrambled eggs at breakfast with various frittatas/omelets and to have a full-length mirror in every room. My brother's suite did have the wall mirror, but mine did not because there was locked door, presumably to adjoining room in that location. Special kudos to Clarissa Allende, assistant general manager, who noticed my original reservation for the two suites had higher room rates and adjusted our final bill accordingly. If we are ever back in this area again, we will definitely be staying at this beautifully appointed hotel with its exemplary service - or at another Homewood Suites wherever we roam!

The hotel is absolutely wonderful. The mattress, the pillows the towels the welcome bottle of waters absolutely perfect. The pool is wonderful. We were lucky. We had great weather while we were there. The ladies at the front desk Tony, Sylvia, Nancy are all fantastic. Very professional, very pleasant and very accommodating. They always have time to talk with you and they all seem to love their job and there’s another girl that works the late shift. I forgot her name I think it may be Laura or Loren and she too is very very nice. I also have to tell you how wonderful Kathleen in the kitchen dining area is always ready to help or see if you need anything while you’re having breakfast. Always making sure there’s plenty of hot coffee and cleaning up while she’s still serving breakfast. She is a real asset to the company never have I seen her get upset with anyone she is always there to please. Even when they are super busy and dishes are everywhere and food is on the floor from a busy busy breakfast she handles everything with ease and professionalism. The girls at the front desk also have times when they are super busy and they also never get frazzled and always think of the customer first. You have a great team at the Homew, Homewood Suites and Sarasota at Lakewood Ranch. Unbelievable pleasant experience. We are going back at the end of September Again. Love the place. Also, the girls that clean the rooms and clean the hotel are also the best. If you ever need a towel or soap or anything, they are very very eager to please.

Booked hotel post-hurricane Milton. Power came back at our home so we needed an early departure. Nancy at the front desk was super helpful! She was able to cancel our room early (no charges) which opened it up for someone else who didn’t have power back yet. A win-win! Excellent customer service from Nancy! Hotel lobby/common areas beautiful and comfortable to hang out. Also, what to give a shout out to Kathleen, who was working in the dining/common area when we arrived. She was so sweet and friendly, offering us snacks and more, making sure we were happy and comfortable. The room itself was very nice, very clean, we really didn’t want to leave! Definitely recommend Homewood Suites by Hilton at Lakewood Ranch.

We recently stayed at this hotel to visit family. We selected it based off the previous reviews. Sadly, we did not have the same experience.
Pros Great location B Very quiet from outside house A Quiet neighbors. We never heard anyone A+ Fantastic gym A+ Comfy bed B
Cons Housekeeping F: someone else’s sock left on floor, dirty bath wash cloth, roach crawling on kitchen counter, dirty sofa pillows Maintenance F: Fridge was loud when the compressor ran and kept us up the first 2 nights. We asked for it to be fixed. (Husband said something was loose and hitting against something but he couldn’t reach it to fix.) After our second request a man showed up and he didn’t speak much English (The next morning he was working as kitchen staff.) and left saying “boss”. No one ever showed up again. We had to turn off the fridge every night before we went to bed. Very frustrating. Overall design/Layout D: As usual for current hotel design trends there isn’t enough counter space in the bathroom. Bedside lamps from the Dollar Store maybe 12 inches tall don’t allow for bedtime reading. There are no room darkening curtains. The only window treatments are shutters (we stayed on ground floor) so if you like sleeping in a dark room, you won’t unless you cover your eyes. The light shining in is from the parking lot lights and being in UTC it’s bright. Frustratingly small bathroom area for tall people. The overall design could be improved towards travelers not apartment renters. The hotel is lovely but the room didn’t feel like the Hilton brand.

We recently stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton for Family Business in Venice and Sarasota. The hotel is centrally located and right in the UTC mall area. There are many restaurants and shops and the mall all within walking distance. The staff at the hotel are exceptionally nice especially the manager Samantha. She made sure our stay was perfect to all standards. There is a complementary breakfast with many choices to choose from including hot and cold items. Our rooms were very spacious and very clean. The Hotel staff is always cleaning which keeps the Hotel fresh and clean all the time.

Checked in for a 3 night stay while home repairs were being performed, we are local to the area. On the morning before our departure day, we stopped at the front desk and requested to extend our stay by one night. "no problem", said the desk clerk and we exchanged our key cards for new ones with the longer authorization.
So we were quite surprised to get a call from the desk at 11:30 AM the next day asking when we intended to vacate the room. The hotel was sold out and the desk had no record of any change to our original reservation. No explanation of how such an error could have occurred or offer to find us alternate accommodations was made. .
I'm a seasoned traveller and have had diamond or gold status with Hilton for a quarter century with very few problems, perhaps I've been lucky. Lesson learned: "get it in writing" when making on-the-fly changes to reservations or perhaps stick to website-only transactions and avoid the chance of incompetence with the local management.
This hotel is in a nice location and generally bright and clean, although 1 of the 2 elevators was out of service which made for some long waits and crowded elevator rides. There did not appear to be any urgency in restoring the other elevator to service.

My family and I stayed here at the Homewood as a hotel to plop ourselves at for the night so we didn’t have to drive two hours as soon as our flight landed. This is a nice hotel and it is very modern. The room was clean, the night sleep was alright, and the facilities were great.
First, the cleanliness. There were no problems here at all. We had a two queen room with one bedroom and it was lovely. The decor is kept up nicely around the hotel. All of the hot breakfast food was made nicely and none of it was “inedible”. My Rating for this Category: 5/5
Next up, the night sleep. While the beds were clean, they were unfortunately a bit uncomfortable. The pillow was extremely flat and the mattress was very stiff. I do feel that this is where the hotel does need to improve. My Rating for this Category: 3/5
Finally is the facilities. There are three main areas here: The pool, the fitness center, and a basketball hoop. The pool looked wonderful. Around the pool, they have these cabana type sitting areas that are lovely. Next, the fitness center was the only place we didn’t use or even see. Finally, the basketball hoop. It looked nice, but we didn’t use it. My Rating for this Category: 5/5
On a side note, there is one lady who works at the front desk who is extremely friendly. She is so attentive, bubbly, and can easily put a smile on everyone’s face.
For the one night we needed this hotel, it was great. The room was clean, the night sleep was eh at best, and the facilities were nice and plentiful. If we were in the area again, we will most likely be staying here again and this place gets my recommendation.

Hilton Hotels are our chain of choice especially Homewood Suites. Our check in was great. The room was very clean. The staff friendly and breakfast was great. The room charge the last night of our 4 night stay was nearly $500 for 1 night. This is not a $500 per night hotel. For that price we expect a porter taking our luggage to our room instead of lugging it ourselves. Otherwise a good hotel.

Homewood is our “go to” hotel when available, and I must say this is the best outpost of the chain that I can recall. Our room was bigger than the average King room (suspect it could handle two queen beds), and scrupulously clean. The shrubbery around the hotel was very well maintained, at a level well above the Homewood class. The Samsung smart TV was easy to use, with an on-screen guide, as well as several streaming services including Netflix, Tubi and Pluto. Good housekeeping service. About the only thing I have to complain about is the absence of raisin bran at the breakfast bar. My pet peeves for hotels are squeaky doors (wakes my wife up) and bathroom sinks that don’t hold water; this has been a problem recently at several Homewoods. This location, however, passed the test with flying colours. Five stars all the way!
