Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort offers a festive atmosphere appreciated by guests, along with convenient Skyliner access that's a hit among travelers. While the resort's location garners praise for its proximity to transportation, reviews indicate a mix of experiences with service and room quality.
Some visitors commend the room sizes and clean common areas, others point out inconsistencies in room cleanliness and upkeep. Moreover, the value proposition of the resort is questioned, with several guests feeling the costs outweigh the benefits of their stay.

Hotel's Favourite
This resort is a wonderful “mid-tier” option for Walt Disney World visitors. We loved having access to the Skyliner with both the main hub and the Riviera Resort station a short walk away from our room. Being able to use the Riviera buses helped, too, as the Caribbean Beach buses can fill up quickly. The only downside was the food options: my husband and I aren’t foodies and loved the cafeteria-style at All Star Sports. Perhaps it was an illusion due to how large it was, but the A.S. Sports eatery seemed to have more options than C.B.R. Other than that, we had a perfect trip. The room itself, a King suite in the Arub area, was great and had plenty of space. Don’t let the size of the resort freak you out; it was a pleasant walk from our room to the main lobby, and maybe took us 8-10 minutes to get there. As always, the staff were friendly as could be. The Skyliner access alone made it worth the “mid-tier” cost to my husband and I. Definitely worth it if you are visiting & want a slight upgrade from the budget tier resorts.

We stayed here for 14 nights in September to October 2019. Upon arrival we were greeted by some very lovely porters. When walking into the hotel we were hit by a lovely blast of air con and a delicious scent that filled the building. Our first impression was that the building was absolutely gorgeous and squeaky clean (which remained our impression for the duration of our stay.
We went straight to reception and had to wait maybe 15 to 20 minutes to be served but that was ok as there was an influx of people when we arrived. The staff member checking us in was lovely and made us feel really welcome. She explained our magic bands, dining plan, fastpasses etc. and drew on the map where our room was and we were on our way!
The walk to our room was very pleasant past the main pool and over the bridge. We were staying in Jamaica. Our room was very pleasant too and had everything we needed.
The location of our room was excellent as we were a stones throw away from the Skyliner that opened part way through our trip but also the bus stop was a short walk away. We were also a short walk from a refill station for our refillable mug which was very convenient.
Our pool was closed for refurbishment but it was only a short walk to the next pool which was very pleasant and never too busy.
It was also lovely to just be able to chill on a hammock on the beach at night which was very romantic and is somewhere we will remember after I proposed to my partner.
The food was of good quality but I felt that the options were lacking. Having previously stayed at a value resort I much preferred the food there over Caribbean Beach but that's perhaps just personal preference of course.
The gift shop was small but had everything you needed and we took great joy in spending our remaining snack credits on the great choice of snacks such as Goofy candy.
Finally, the staff were very friendly throughout the trip from the person who would hold the door open for you to the staff serving your food.
I would consider staying here again if there was a good deal but, personally, would opt for a value resort and upgrade the dining plan. They were in the middle of renovating some of the rooms so I would perhaps stay again to see what they were like.

Congratulations on your engagement! I don't think there is a more romantic spot than a hammock on a beach, that is so exciting. I'm thrilled your stay at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort was magical from check-in to check out. It's pretty cool that you got to be there during the opening of the Disney Skyliner. It is one of my favorite modes of transportation when I am staying at the Walt Disney World Resort. It's just so cool to take that breezy ride through the sky and get that bird's eye view of the grounds. Most of all for your review though, I appreciate your honesty. Next time if you're looking for a Value Resort, be sure to check out Disney's Pop Century Resort. There you can celebrate the decades in style and in newly refurbished rooms! Thanks again. See you next time, Olivia! Addie Disney Social Reviews

My family of 4 stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort in February of 2020 and we enjoyed our stay. We had a big problem with our room when we arrived at 1 am and management went above and beyond to make it right. Customer service was top notch (thanks Steve and Olivia!). The grounds were impeccable. Tons of dining options too. We stayed in the Barbados section which was a very convenient location close to Old Port Royale and just a ~5 minute walk to the Skyliner. Remember that this resort is very big so might not be ideal for some...but that didn’t bother us at all. Our room was quite nice and I liked that we had two queen beds. I could do without the carpet though-I think that dated the room a bit. All in all I would definitely recommend this resort and would stay again. It was a great value for the money, especially given the great location in close proximity to all the parks, the Skyliner and the customer service. Also, the pool and Banana Cabana pool bar was awesome!!

With swaying hammocks and Calypso rhythms, it's easy to "sea" why this Resort hotel was such a great fit for you! When you're on island time, you should never have any worries at all. Even though you encountered a bump in the road when you arrived, I'm delighted to hear Steve and Olivia were able to turn things around and add magic back to your stay. I will be sure to share this review with them so they can be recognized for their excellent Guest Service. Thank you for taking the time to share this review and so many wonderful photos! We "shore" hope you will return soon! Anna Disney Social Reviews

We stayed with our two adult children, one of whom was home from Germany and wanted to visit Galaxy's Edge. It is a perfect location for Hollywood Studios and Epcot with the new Skyliner, which is much faster than Disney buses. During our visit, the buses were not going directly to those parks at all. The resort grounds are lovely with hammocks and beach chairs on sandy beaches created on the edge of a lake. The rooms were a reasonable size and were comfortable and clean with enough space to stow clothes, etc. We were in the Aruba section, which was an easy walk to Old Port Royale where the restaurants and shops are. The resort is large but easily walkable. Our only disappointment was getting food, especially later at night. The two evenings were were there, we found the market to be almost out of foods to pick up and they seemed to have a limited selection. We may have been spoiled by staying at some of the larger resorts with more restaurant options. As always, cast members were always helpful and pleasant. We were very sorry that we did not get the name of the cast member who helped us at check in. We had made the reservation by phone because I was having difficulty booking two rooms online. We were booking at a special Florida resident promotion, but the phone agent seemed to be having difficulty getting all the information right. Three of us are annual passholders, but she spent a lot of time getting everyone's name, age, and other data. The rate was to be $163 a night for each room, but she said the final cost would be $195. When I asked, she answered that the difference was "taxes". When we mentioned this as we were checking in, that cast member immediately said that something was not right and she would see if she could fix it. She spoke with a supervisor there, then apologized that it would take a few minutes. She went off and made some phone calls and when she returned she apologized again and credited us the difference to have the correct room rate. While this took her a lot of time and effort, she remained cheerful and pleasant and was clearly willing to go the extra mile to resolve a problem when she could have just brushed it off. I really regret that we did not get her name to send a compliment about her to Disney and her manager. She was also bothered that our rooms were not close together, and fixed that. We would stay here again and certainly think it looks like a good place for families with children. The pool area looked like a great time for kids. (There is also a very Caribbean feel bar by the pool for grown ups.)

Katrine, thank you for joining us for a serene visit to the islands! First, I must apologize for the misinformation and disappointment caused by the booking process. More importantly, I’m relieved to know the Cast Member at check-in could provide such outstanding, thorough Guest service. We’ll make sure she is commended for helping to make your experience so wonderful. As for the Resort itself, I’m delighted it turned out to be the perfect fit for you and your family. Getting to nearby destinations like Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios is easier than ever with the addition of the Disney Skyliner system. The Skyliner is always my preference, too, when it’s an option. Thank you again for your review. I hope we get to welcome you and your family back for an even more seamless and enjoyable visit in the future. AJ Disney Social Reviews

This was our first visit to this resort and we were not disappointed! The entire resort was clean, well socially distanced, and all the staff we encountered were exceptional. Another great aspect of this resort is the Skyliner hub is there. The Skyliner provides quick and easy access to Epcot/Boardwalk, Hollywood Studios, Rivera Resort, Pop Century Resort, and Art of Animation Resort.
The resort is absolutely huge and consists of multiple “islands” of the Caribbean. We stayed in “Trinidad” which has the Pirate themed rooms. Trinidad is one of the furthest building pods from the main lobby (probably just shy of a half mile!). With it being so far away, it is VERY quiet! From that building you can see the Skyliner hub and it’s quick access to get there. If you have small children or have a hard time walking long distance i would highly recommend requesting a room closer to Port Royal (the main lobby area), but if you don’t mind a long walk or want more quiet then it’s perfect! There are multiple bus stops throughout the resort with service to the parks (except Epcot and Hollywood Studios as those use the Skyliner) and to Disney Springs so you don’t have to go to port royal each time you need to get on a bus. They also have an internal shuttle, but honestly it’s probably quicker to just walk. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. If you haven’t stayed at a Disney resort before, let it be known that they provide body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in full sizes that smell AMAZING!
Due to Covid, some of the restaurants weren’t open which was a bummer, but the main quick service food station at Port Royal was amazing and easy to get food from with the mobile ordering. The Large Pizza meal with breadsticks and salad is a killer deal for a family and was delicious! I also highly recommend getting the refillable mug for $20 if you plan on being there for a while. You get to fill it at any quick station at any resort.
Disney as a whole was great about keeping social distancing and face coverings a priority. They also enhanced their cleaning measures. With that, they aren’t cramming the buses full like they used to, so keep that in mind if you are planning on taking their transportation to Disney Springs. You will want to give yourself ample time to get there for any reservations.
I would absolutely recommend this hotel and will for sure stay again!

We stayed here during our kids fall break. We were in the Aruba area(building 55), which we liked because of the transportation aspect. We were right next door to the Skyliner for the Riviera resort, as well as right by a bus stop. There was an Aruba area pool very close—-basic but quiet. Also there was a beach area that was nice.
Room was a 5th sleeper. We traveled with 2 teens so the 5th pull down bed option really doesn’t work(our kids are 16 and 17). It is a nice concept.
Housekeeping will get you anything you want but will only come to your room every other day. They will not change your sheets, just replace towels, etc.
Our building was a good 10 minute walk from main area and pool. Not bad for capable teens but would not suggest for families with small children.
We did mobile order quite a few times. Easy and fine. Food was not very impressive. We did also purchase the refillable mugs, but wouldn’t do it again because the only place on site to refill was at main area restaurant.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Masks were enforced everywhere. Property well kept and nice. Activities mostly focus on small children at main pool area.
We would stay here again in the future.

Thank you for visiting with us at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and also taking time to share your beachy keen review of your family's visit! It seem that your room location was truly in an ideal setting for your vacation needs. Being near two transportation options is lovely for ease of access to the Theme Parks for sure. Not to mention also being near a pool and beach for relaxation. Your photos from around the property truly capture the island vibe that I find so very peaceful around the Resort. I am pleased that our Housekeeping Cast Members were on hand to help with any of your needs that came up during your stay. I am sorry that your dining experiences at the Resort were a little bit underwhelming but am glad that there was ease of use with the Mobile Order system. On behalf of all of our Cast Members, we look forward to hosting many more island getaways for your family! Alexa Disney Social Reviews

We stayed here late Oct 2020 and I was very pleased. The rooms are a good enough size that my mother's scooter was able to be parked inside of the room and out of the way without issue. The furniture, bathroom, and shower/bath were all more than adequate. The property itself is just stellar. We stayed close to the SL station, which was convenient for that but a bit of a hoof to the CBR lobby. That didn't bother me at all though as again, the entire property is so nice and gorgeous sun up or sundown it's very nice to just stroll around. CM's are always wonderful, especially here. I even had a lengthy conversation with a CM about the Cuban sandwich I was eating, as he was Cuban descent and was just happy I enjoyed my meal so much.
There are many things that make WDW great and CM's are part of the experience. I interact with as many as I can, especially during this time frame as I know it's a bit of extra stress for all involved. I couldn't have been happier (except for the issues with SL's long lines to Hollywood Studios but that's not CBR's fault). I would only add that bus service from CBR to HS is a necessity versus solely relying on SL, but again, that's not much of a CBR issue as it is a Disney Parks Transportation issue.
Finally, the main pool at CBR is just superior and so much fun. My 5 y/o is autistic, has very few social boundaries with people, and did just fine playing with other children in and around the pool. The CM's had some games going on, lifeguards are active and paying close attention to the kids doing their thing. I just cannot say enough compliments for the CM's at CBR and everywhere around WDW for every trip I make. Even when I was losing my patience about the SL heading to HS, the CM was patient and apologetic (and I certainly reminded him he didn't have to apologize for the oversight from transportation).
Overall, I would say CBR is definitely worth the price. Come here to relax, take your "island time," and just enjoy the beauty and efforts the CM's put into ensuring your vacation is up to the Disney standard.

The food options were not convenient. I walked 20 minutes to pick up dinner, and even then my order was not correct. With kids, having to walk so far for food is inconvenient. The food options/restaurants were limited, and I could not order DoorDash/GrubHub because we were at a resort.
I called for simple things like towels and it would take 30 minutes for the items to arrive.
When we checked out the Bell service was late to our room. I had to call and was told to leave my luggage in the room with a tip (if I could provide it) and leave the room. I’m not sure what time the Bell service arrived because check out time had passed and housekeeping arrived to clean the room for next guest.
The shuttle was on time, but filled up with the first stop.
The Skyline was nice to ride to Epcot. We enjoyed having this on the hotel property.

Thanks for joining us in the tropics at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. I’m saddened to see you were disappointed with the location of your room with respect to Old Port Royale and our dining options. If you choose to embark on an island retreat with us again, I recommend placing a room request when you book to be as close to the main building as possible. Our Cast Members will certainly try their best to accommodate these requests. Alternatively, I’d encourage you to walk over to Disney’s Riviera Resort for a meal or two, just past the Disney Skyliner station. Their food is just divine! No matter where you choose to stay, we look forward to welcoming you back for a much more magical trip. Emma Disney Social Reviews

We spent 4 nights at the Caribbean Beach Resort the week before Labor Day weekend. We stayed in the Barbados section (a big thumbs up). The room had been renovated and was nicely decorated.
Upon arrival the room looked thoroughly cleaned and stocked with the necessities. The bed was very comfortable. They no longer clean rooms during your stay but replenish anything that you may need.
We've stayed at value, moderate, and deluxe resorts at WDW. This resort is no more or less noisy than any of the others. It really depends upon the families near your room and the location of your room.
The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The Marketplace, bar, main pool, and store really take you to the Caribbean. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The pools for various sections were clean, full of clean towels, and inviting. Social distancing at the pool and elsewhere is very evident. I'd like to give a shout out to Mandy from Miami. She is part of the pool staff and goes to the various pools to sanitize the tables, chairs, and check on the pools. She was very friendly and did a great job!
The sky liner transportation was fantastic! Surprisingly cooler from the breezes given the heat during the day.
The only downside for this resort was the food. I didn't care for it, but my husband did. A very minimal selection in both of our opinions. Do check on your food order.
Sometimes the the mobile order app. glitches and doesn't let you know when your food is ready for pick up. We would definitely stay there again!
Response from Disney Social Reviews, Owner at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
Responded 20 Oct 2020
Hi there, Lori! I'm so happy to read you enjoyed your stay with us in the newly enhanced rooms at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. From the incredible theming to the convenience of the Disney Skyliner, it's hard to beat the amazing features of this resort that draws you in! I would like to apologize that you didn't enjoy your meals while visiting. While we certainly do our best to maintain a wide variety of cuisine at all of our resort hotels, I can understand the disappointment when you don't find something that fully suits your tastes. I would recommend on your next stay hopping on the Skyliner to one of our neighboring hotels to enjoy some tasty alternatives! I'm happy to learn too that you experienced such a magical moment with Mandy. I will be sure to pass along your kind words for her. Lori, thank you so much for your review and I hope we see you again real soon! Jody Disney Social Reviews

Our family spent 7 nights at Caribbean Beach Resort (CBR) in August 2019. We stay at CBR several years ago, and thought it was Ok, but since then the resort has gone through a significant renovation and it is amazing. The new lobby, check in and quick service restaurant are fantastic. The rooms have been refreshed with new furniture and decor. Our room was clean upon arrival and Mousekeeping did a great job during our stay. The beds were very comfortable, and the reno included new shower / bathroom fixtures. Our air conditioning was loud the first night, but we called the front desk the next AM and someone arrived within minutes to repair it. The food was great - lots of choices. The main pool is big and well themed, we enjoyed spending time there and the drink station is really close to the pool- easily access for refillable mugs. There are coke freestyle machines all over the resort, which was a nice bonus. Transportation was great from the resort to the parks, buses were on time according to the posted schedules. The Skyliner was in testing during our trip so we didn’t get to try it.
What made our experience really special was the cast members (CM) at CBR. We’ve stayed at many other Disney reports and find that cast CM can really make a big difference when it comes to your stay- cast members at CBR were amazing, friendly and very helpful. We recently stayed at the Polynesian Resort and had the opposite experience with some CM (our check in experience was awful). Overall CBR is fantastic! We have already booked our next stay.

Response from WDW_Parks_Resorts, Disney Social Reviews at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

Ahoy, matey! Thanks for joining us for a swashbuckling adventure over at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort! As someone who absolutely loves this “oceanside” oasis, I’m truly thrilled to learn you had such an outstanding visit! From making a splash while exploring the ancient ruins of Fuentes del Morro, to relaxing in a hammock by the water, there’s always something new to uncover during your stay! While I would never turn down some waterfront relaxation, what truly makes this Caribbean Beach stand out is the spectacular, island-inspired eats! I just love the tropical takes on classic favorites found at Sebastian’s Bistro – like Coconut Shrimp and Grits and Caribbean Vegetable Curry! So delicious! It’s also sincerely heartwarming to learn just how much of an impact our Cast Members left on your overall visit. Sometimes, something as simple as a smile can truly make a world of difference. Michelle, thank you for your review. We “argh” so excited to welcome you and your family back again soon! Kenzi Disney Social Reviews

The coffee in the room was not great! The Jeffrey's they serve that is free if you buy the $23 Mug is way better and a go to. I would go to the drink station, fill the Disney cup then transfer the coffee to a styrofoam container from the room
Not sure, I would contact Disney directly. I'm sure they have all the answers. have a great visit!
Aruba is next to the skyliner but further from the pool and restaurants.
Jamaica is nearer to the restaurants and pool
So it depends on what you prefer. Having said that, it’s a beautiful walk which I don’t mind
They do have a food court that will allow you to get a quick breakfast, but you won't be able to rope drop. They don't open early enough. My wife and I went straight to the Skyliner or buses, did the rope-drop, and then got food early at the parks.
