We were hoping to celebrate in style but we were sorely disappointed. We paid the resort fee for two days - at least expecting housekeeping services as requested and refreshed coffee pods. We also requested real glassware and we were told to go to a restaurant and ask them for it. East wing is at least 1/2 mile from the pool. Disappointed that we did not receive a room upgrade - we know it is not guaranteed. The deluxe room was no so deluxe at all.

I stayed for 12 days at this hotel with my fanily, and on the last few days they decided to go in my suitcase and steal my brand new expensive hair product, while me and my family were at the theme park. I contacted the front desk and they didn't seem to care or try to help in any way, only said that they would ask. Well, of course the thief won't admit that they stole from me. But I am 100% sure that they did. I am very disappointed with the service at this hotel. Even room service wasn't great, they forgot to bring silverware and we had to eat our food with our hands & no napkins also. We feel ripped off and quite disrespected!

We just completed our stay at the Walt Disney World dolphin hotel run by Sheraton. The hotel grounds lobby are very beautiful and it was very nice to have a balcony with a view of the lake. The room was very clean and sterile what lacking the Disney magic that one would expect on the Disney property. Even though the hotel is on the Disney property they utilize their own buses that do not drop you off for the rest of the Walt Disney transportation buses let you off and do not have as many buses to take you around the Disney property. The staff here is very friendly polite and eager to help. I would consider this hotel again because the price is great and the location to Epcot and easy access to Hollywood studios is a huge plus.

First and foremost, the staff was wonderful; everyone we encountered was kind and helpful. The valet staff and bellmen were especially helpful. This was my wife and my first stay at the Dolphin. We arrived on Friday night after dark so after getting settled into the room we went for a walk to see where things were; pool, snacks and such. My wife is in a wheelchair so our experience maybe quite different from other people. After looking at a couple of maps on the L level trying to find directions to the pools; I asked someone and was directed to the 1 floor. Exited the elevator on the first flow we did not find any directional arrows to assist us in finding our way to the pool. We walked around the entirety of one side of the hotel outside the building and the lighting was less than desirable for pushing a wheelchair until we found our way to the pools. Discovering the best way to get to the hot tubs was a bit of a challenge for a first-time visitor in a wheelchair due to stairs between levels of where the pools are. We arrived at the area after it was closed. It was not until the next night after a long day at one of the parks when we returned to go for a swim. The pools were remarkably busy and again there was no signage to tell us where to get towels, but a family member asked, and we were able to get towels for the pool. I was pleased to find the towels were a good size and soft, much softener than the towels even in the room. The most disturbing aspect of the pool experience was the large number of insects in the pool; dead and floating throughout the pool. Another observation I have is regarding the cleanliness of the hotel; I was less than impressed with the condition of the hallway to our room from the elevator. Upon our arrival, my wife and I both noticed the dirty pathway in the carpet going from the elevator to our room. The carpet is much darker on one side of the hallway and that extended for as far as we could see. Outside the door to our room was what appeared to be drywall powder from where someone or something had hit the corner of the wall. Also outside our door was a coffee stir stick and “fruit loop” all of which was there for the entirety of our visit. Inside the room the closet doors were missing, bathroom door was too large for the small bathroom and could not open all the way, nor could it be closed if anyone were in the bathroom easily. The tile in the bathroom bathtub was very elegant to look at but after a closer inspection the light and darkness was augmented by the dirt stuck in the tile. Many of the USB chargers attached to the lamps did not work. The most challenging part of the room was the bed; I have no idea what size bed that was, but I do not recall the last time I stayed in a hotel and shared a bed that was less than a queen size. The room was plenty large enough for two queen size beds and I was astonished that a resort would even have beds that small in the rooms. The desk appeared to be an afterthought and as someone who frequently travels with my work laptop, I was troubled to find that there is no electrical outlet open by the desk and I had to unplug the lap to use the wall outlet. The other aspect of my stay that was troubling was the internet on Saturday night was very unstable, I was trying to work and kept getting kicked off my connection to work.

We stayed at The Dolphin twice in the last 6 months. In Nov. 2020 as a couples trip and in May 2021 as a family vacation. We absolutely LOVE the location of the resort. We took the Friendship boats to Epcot & DHS. We took the hotel bus to AK & MK. No transportation issues at all. The pool areas are gorgeous and quite expansive. We had a great time lounging at the pool on our non-park day. Lunch was delivered right to our lounge chair. There are a vast array of restaurants at both the Swan & Dolphin. We really enjoyed the crab nachos from Todd English's Blue Zoo and also the Tempura from KImono's. There is a bar in the Swan lobby that offers frozen Margaritas. They were delicious; however, they are only open on Fri., Sat & Sun. The drinks are $i5. Refills are $11. We walked over the Boardwalk and also visited the Beach & Yacht Club resorts for pin trading. This resort offers everything that a WDW Deluxe resort offers without the high price tag. We had a great time here during both of our stays.
