Nice rooms and facility. Pat, the owner and innkeeper, was very hospitable and served a great breakfast. We stopped here in the middle of a road trip from New Orleans to Fort Myers. We stayed one night and enjoyed our stay. One note of caution - Monticello is a very small and quaint little town with somewhat limited facilities. We got there on a Sunday night and almost every restaurant in town except one was closed.

I wanted to visit a small quaint town in the FL panhandle. Looking for antiques. I had booked another hotel near I-10 . But traveling alone I canceled my booking and checked into the 1872 Derham Inn. The owner was very helpful. The check in was no contact. Paper on the front door with instructions to where my room was. Top of stairs to the right. Beautiful rose colored walls and a daybed , firer place with tea lights . So nice to relax and enjoy my evening. Self service tea and cookies individually wrapped for every guest. Wine after 6.00 pm. Which I enjoyed in my room before after dinner. The bed was soft and comfortable. I’m 5’2 so a few try’s getting into an antique high bed. But once in that queen size bed it didn’t disappoint. There was even a fan for white noise in my room. In the morning the breakfast was delightful. Served by the owner and staff. I will stay at the 1872 Derham Inn again.

We took a mother daughter trip, and this mansion was a special place to add to our collection of memories. Thanks for the thoughtful touches like slippers, bathrobes, water bottles in the mini fridge in the lobby, lots of TV channels, etc. The breakfast was scrumptious, and the staff was lovely. Thanks again!

Excellent stay, vey clean and comfortable. We have stayed in 3 different rooms and all equally beautiful with each having their own perks. Loved the large claw foot tub in the Gold Suite. The Lacy room (honeymoon suite) has a high plush bed with canopy. The Camille room has a beautiful king four poster bed. Pat and her staff are amazing and accommodate dietary needs. Breakfast was always special and varied daily. Looking forward to our next stay.

Pat is a wonderful host, full of lots of info on local places to eat and go. Her breakfasts are so yummy. We stayed 3 days and each day was something different. My regret is that we didn't get to try her waffles or pancakes. It's a nice, quiet place with lots of history around. The water and drinks provided anytime are a nice touch. Her staff was very pleasant as well. The rates for this B & B eat are better than a hotel room. Bed was comfortable.
