I regularly travel for business, and use Hilton brands. Most often, I stay at Hampton Inns. While I have stayed at over 50 Hampton Inns, this one is well below average. Beds are comfortable, nice showers, food is on-par for Hampton. The facility was updated in the recent past (not sure what year), but certain older/dated items remain (one example being the older painted wood door in bathroom is delaminating from the core). Room air conditioning units do NOT remove humidity, just makes it cold and humid. Five other people I am traveling with said the same thing for their rooms. This is a problem in mid-June in Miami. Clean clothing felt damp when put on. Towels never dried over three days. WiFi was down for two days and no compensation for the inconvenience was offered. If in town again, I will look for other options. I recommend only if the price is right.…
I haven't traveled much since the beginning of the pandemic, but I was so happy and satisfied with my (too) short stay at the Hampton Inn Miami Dadeland. The property felt very clean and up to par with any covid19 cleanliness concerns. I have to shout out Jay Rodriguez! His hospitality was very warm on the night I arrived. After having delayed flights and a long travel day from NYC, it was so nice to be greeted by Jay so late in the evening. He remembered my name throughout my stay and was completely hospitable throughout each and every interaction. He is a wonderful ambassador for Hampton Inn & Hilton Hotels. I will definitely be back to the hotel on my next trip down. Also, the breakfast attendants on the weekend were super sweet and incredibly welcoming each day. The HVAC unit in my room was fantastic. This is a nice, clean property with friendly staff and a good location close to the U of Miami. A special shout-out to Camilla at the front desk who went out of her way to help me find late night food delivery after I had travelled a long time to get there and was so hungry! She arranged a delivery of delicious Chinese food. So friendly and helpful!
Bathroom smelled, coffee maker broken, alarm clock defective and not working. Everything else was okay. For the very high daily rate I expected everything to be in working order. I was somewhat disappointed
staff is very horrible, disrespectful, and unprofessional!!! camilia, ugena, and the gm edgordo rodreguiz is very poor team. maria was the only pleasant agent. - i am a diamond member, the staff didnt want to use my card on file to extend my stay. came up to my room after i explained id come down and present the card in person again!!! camila and eugena were very very rude!! iv never experienced anything like thiss stayin at a hilton. i felt very uncomfortable and not wanted at the location.
I was going through a difficult time. My husband was in the hospital and didn't know when he would be released. The front staff were so undersanding and worked with me through this emotional time. I was able to book additional nights as I needed them, which was a relief that I didn't have to look for another hotel. I just wish I would have gotten their names so I could thank them again personnally!
Tv remote did not work, toilet ran all night long. There was a ball of hair and a bandage under the bathroom vanity. At 1:10 a piercing loud alarm sounded. Called front desk, no answer. Got a wake up call at 7:30 am, which we did not order. Ask to speak with management, no resolution.
Reception we have little girl look us straight in the eye and lie about no availability at any price. When we showed her the website says otherwise she reluctantly gave us a substandard room. At checkout man behind desk politely offered to watch our bags when we declined he became suddenly rude and mocking us as we were leaving. I felt my information might be not safe at this hotel. The staff and reception seemed very friendly with other Spanish guests and staff though. Very strong culture bias here they don’t even try to hide it.
We had a pleasurable experience. The cleanliness, comfortable beds, and the convenient location were awesome! We were visiting due to a loss of a family member. I wad able to get a good night’s rest and peace of mind.
Overall, I though this property was just ok. There was a cleanliness issue with the bathroom with random long hairs. The rooms looked like they had been renovated a couple of years ago, but I felt they weren’t the best. Really didn’t feel comfortable in the hotel room. Location is good though next to Dadeland Station and Dadeland Mall. Also a metrorail stop is within walking distance to access a lot of Miami. Very safe with a lot of security present. Service could also be improved. I stayed 5 nights and a simple “how was your stay” would have been most appreciated but was nonexistent. I probably would skip this property in the future.
