This place is a booking nightmare, do not book here! This hotel looked amazing so I booked a room through their website for 2 nights. I did not receive a confirmation email or number so I called the hotel. The representative at the hotel said she did not see my reservation and to wait an hour since it may take some time for the booking to go through. I waited hours (4+) and no confirmation. I called the next day and still nothing so I was told that the booking did not go through and to book via phone. I called to book a room via phone and it was successful. I received email confirmation for the phone booking and I was all set. A few days go by and I received confirmation for the FIRST booking that I was told did not go through. So now I had two rooms booked and I was becoming pretty frustrated. I called to cancel one of those rooms and it was successful. I ended up changing my mind later on the hotel entirely and called to cancel the one remaining room, learning that there are still TWO rooms reserved under my name! After finding this out, I got the two confirmation numbers and made sure those were completely cancelled. I received confirmation for the cancellations. I got an email today that says the hotel is ready for my upcoming stay with a confirmation number for a room that I’ve never even seen before! So I guess something got booked somehow and I have no idea how. I called to cancel this room but I will never stay an at SLS hotel again. This was an absolute nightmare. On a positive note, everyone I spoke to was kind and friendly. It’s a bummer they have such a terrible booking system.…
The SLS Brickell is a friendly hotel in a super convenient location in the heart of Brickell, close to corporate offices, restaurants and shopping. My room was a bit quirky, for example, the TV was off to the side of the bed, not directly in front, which made it sort of awkward to watch TV. The real reason for this review is, my second night in the room, I noticed a leak in the toilet and the bathroom started filling with water. This was 11pm and I was just about to go to bed, so needless to say I wasn't very happy. I called downstairs and within 5 minutes a gentleman named Rashad from the engineering team came to the room to look at the toilet. I can't say enough good things about Rashad - despite having to fix a leaking toilet and clean a flooded bathroom at nearly midnight, this man was friendly, polite, apologetic, responsive. Long story short, the leak was structural and couldn't be fixed - Rashad ensured I was moved to a new and upgraded room, all the time with a smile. To management - please acknowledge the excellence of this employee. Rashad turned what could have been a customer service nightmare into a minor inconvenience due to his competence, attitude, and professionalism. I should also say, all the front desk personnel were super friendly. All in all, there are more elegant hotels in Brickell for sure, but the SLS is a solid choice in a great location and with reasonable prices.…
Honestly- don’t do stay here. I stayed for work wanting to lay back and go to the pool after work and close restaurant. Yes the pool was closed so a little bit annoying, wish they had a notice when I booked. Also- the hotel part is very outdated like 1970s. Also they charge an amenity fee and they have no amenities lol “beach access” lmao where on the bay? Not worth it with all the great hotels in area
I stayed at SLS in Brickell and had a wonderful time. All of the staff was delightful but especially Alan. He went above and beyond on making sure my stay was wonderful. I actually left behind a dress and he was so helpful in checking for me and making sure it was returned! Please make sure you ask for Alan while there :)
It was my first time staying at Sls and this is probably the best experience I’ve had at a hotel. As soon as I entered the premises I was greeted by a bellhop who was eager to assist me and took my bags to the room immediately as I went to the spa for a relaxing Swedish massage. The pool from the spa floor is amazing great view of the city and the ambiance it’s incredible. The hotel concierge Ray was polite and so helpful, she went above and beyond with assisting with reservations and suggesting places that I would love which was greatly appreciated. We visited the lounge on the first floor which had a dj spinning and alternate views of the city. My stay was nothing short of spectacular I will definitely rebook here any day
Elias at concierge was AMAZING. My trip to SLS was beyond perfect before it even began because of him. He was so polite and friendly on the phone and was so generous with every request that I gave him. He is the exact kind of personality I wish worked at every hotel. I am very grateful for his service.
Great stay at this hotel. Staff was amazing across the board from valet (Oscar, Franco, Roland, Humberto), front desk (Jameisha, Marta, Marta's twin sister + rest of team), to the restaurant Fi'Lia (Gaby). Immediately took care of any needs/issues and made sure my stay was enjoyable, will definitely return.
Awesome hotel, clean rooms, great amenities and the best location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Alan at the front desk was always great to talk to, ask for directions, and helped with our luggage when we were in a rush. Couldn’t appreciate it more!
Allan is by far the best ever..he knows what you need before asking..from helping with your luggage to a friendly conversation while you patiently await your car service!! Hands full? Can’t get your key out? No worries Allan’s right there to assist and always with a smile!!!
Great service from most of the staff but especially by the overnight security Jorge E. , he was very welcoming and friendly. Jorge also knew a lot about the city and gave us a lot of useful information and recommended some amazing places that me and my wife loved, cant wait to try the rest of them when we come back.
