The "Queen of the Florida Keys", Cheeca Lodge & Spa has been an exclusive hideaway for celebrities, business leaders and U.S. Presidents for over 70 years. Set on 27 private oceanfront acres in Islamorada, Cheeca has been constructed with a porte-cochere entrance, traditional Florida Keys architecture, chic West Indies décor, and spirited tradition of “barefoot elegance” -- a term coined at Cheeca. Along with a Coffee Bar & Breakfast Bistro as well as a top-shelf lobby bar, Cheeca boasts three distinctive restaurants: Nikai Sushi Bar and Restaurant offering the Florida Keys’ freshest sushi, Asian-inspired fare and a unique selection of Japanese sake and wine; Atlantic’s Edge, Cheeca’s flagship restaurant offering seasonal fine-dining menu of fresh local seafood, prime steaks and organic local produce; and its brand new family-friendly Mia Cucina restaurant transporting Naples, Italy into the heart of Islamorada serving up made to order artisan pizzas, pastas and salads in a live

Go see Neve in the Guest Adventure building on the far side of the property. She had bikes that were ready to ride (free) and fishing gear (free) for the pier when we got back. Bait is $10 but well worth it once you catch a couple snapper from the pier. Johnny is friendly

If it weren’t for our less than pleasant interactions with the front desk this would be a 5 star review. Property is gorgeous, rooms are clean, waitstaff, bartenders and activity staff were all fabulous. Check in process with front desk wasn’t very welcoming, just here’s your

Dear brendahE3134IV, We’re pleased to learn that you enjoyed your stay with us, but we’re so disheartened to learn of the service issues you encountered. We’re focused on guest service and satisfaction, and that’s certainly not the Cheeca experience we train our team members to deliver. We will discuss this with our entire team and hope that you will give us another opportunity in the future to show you the Cheeca our guests have come to know for generations. Thank you for your valued feedback.

Our family just spent spring break at the resort, and just wanted to give a heads up to those considering the Lodge Island View Double Queen Suite. We were given a room on the second floor (#203) in the main lodge building, and we looked out at a bunch of rooftop A/C units. They

Dear Ginger12345, We truly regret that the view in your suite fell so short of meeting your expectations, but we’re glad you enjoyed your stay. Regrettably, we’re not able to provide optimal views of our island paradise in every room, and during peak times when we are sold out, we do not have a lot of flexibility for room moves. Many guests select the island view rooms in our main lodge for the location and bedding options, and most have spectacular views. It’s always challenging to find optimal locations for air conditioning and times for cleaning so we apologize for the inconvenience and interruption. We appreciate your review and hope you will come back for another visit soon.

Guests will not be affected by the construction of the new pool at the west side of the resort. Everything was good on our stay last month.
