Went down on Wed. Had work to do out in the sun so we choose this hotel because it had an indoor pool, since the sky was black.(rain) Reception area is just nothing to talk about. The girl behind the desk was helpful and nice. Got to our room. I asked for handicap since I was having back trouble and thought maybe a hot bath would help. The room was the last room in the long hallway. I had to walk the furthest of any one else. Doesn't make sense to me. Bathtub was a regular tub. . So decided to go to pool..OMG the chlorine was so bad that 3 other groups came down and turned around and left. Do not advertise pool if it cannot be gotten into. AWFUL !!!! If you are hungry only option to drive/walk to is Cracker Barrel No thanks so had to get dressed back into car and drive in an area I was not familiar in. All in all, not a hotel I will be going back to. Oh my room view was dumpster and Sheriffs office and autopsy office. I am not ready for that yet!

Our AA flight was cancelled yesterday, 5/18/2021, and AA booked two rooms at the Comfort Inn for my family (4) and it clearly stated two rooms on the voucher. Upon arrival, the receptionist booked us in but only gave me one room. There were ten people behind me waiting to check in when I realized that she just gave me on set of key cards for one room only. I went up to the front and explained that she had just given one room instead of two. She told that I needed to get back in line and wait my turn once again which I politely replied that I did not need to go back to end of the line and wait my turn again. She then stated that she needed to make sure she had enough rooms for everyone else and then see and there were any room left even though I had already had a confirmation for two rooms. Needless to say, I had to wait over 30 minutes to get my second room. This was close to midnight and all of us were tired. However, this email is for manegement to correct and train personnel whenever a mistake is made on their end. The receptionist did not give me two rooms nor did I have to go back to the end of the line. Additionally, a roach was observed crawling around in our room. I did not the energy to complain or get another room.

When I go to the West Coast of Florida on business; there are several types of criteria I must have: 1. A swimming pool whether inside or out and it must be heated 2. Quiet surroundings 3. A front desk that is available for check in and checking out. The last one you might think is strange but since COVID the Hotels are doing away with actual people and you to check into a virtual screen with a live person on the screen when you check in and out. Well The Comfort Inn and Suites Airport in Fort Myers is the best hotel in Ft Myers. 1. The swimming pool is indoors and open from 6am to 11pm daily 2. The housekeeping department will freshen your room daily if you are staying more than 1 day. 3. The front desk is manned with real people and the Front desk person who check me in is “Nancy C” is outstanding. Very welcoming and makes you feel that coming to the hotel is an extension of your home, away from home. 4. Since COVID the breakfast buffet is limited; which is fine by me. 5. The rooms are clean and spacious and quiet. My room even has a ceiling fan for comfort. Every staff member abides by the rules with wearing a mask. 6. They have a rewards program that you earn points for each stay. This is definitely a hotel to come to when away from your home. It’s number 1 in my book.

Comfort Inn's are always a hit or miss in each state. With a pandemic going on, only so many hotels can stay open and survive economically. I give props for this hotel to welcome guest and accommodate Airline Flight Crew. In this hard times a lot of employees are let go and they're doing the best they can. Hotel staff is very nice and check in was fast and easy. At least we have clean sheets and towels. Rooms have mini fridge and microwave. They're still providing room amenities and free wifi. Free breakfast and shuttle to and from airport.

My husband and i arrived at this hotel for a one night stay to catch an early flight near the airport. Upon arrival our room was neat and clean everything seemed to look like it would be a easy relaxing night. My husband left to gas up our rental car and to my surprise just about 15 or so later there is a knock on the door and male voice on the other side saying hotel maintenance here to check your phone. The first thing that came to mind was why would someone be knocking on my door asking to check my phone? So i said nothing and did not open the door. Then again came another knock and the male voice said the same thing "maintenance man here to check your phone". Sitting on the edge if the bed wondering what would happen next the door opens and the men steps through to the threshold of the room..immediatley i yell get out of my room and he said i have to check your phone and i said louder get out now! He then turned around and left. I had never been so shocked, angry, surprised, so many emotions all at once. I called down to the desk and asked if there was anyone coming around checking the phones and she said no there is not. I called my husband and on his way in he immediately went to the front desk and asked what was going on. The desk clerk and the guy who came into our room were together and the desk clerk stated she did know but that he would not be going around to the rooms again. We should have called the police but was only thinking about how tired we were that's until i tried to sleep wandering if that guy or who knows someone else would come into our room that night. Oh and let me add our door was locked and deadbolted..he had a master pass. I did call the manager when we got home and told him the full story and he said he would refund our room charge and he even sent me a receipt in my email. Well tonight my husband checked our statement and he never refunded the money and we were charged twice. So please think about this when staying here.

I would like to apologize for our maintenance guy. He was trying to update all the room's phone pads. You were totally reimbursed for your stay. The total room charge was credited back to your card. Again, please accept our apology.
