Booked my stay at TownePlace Suites by Marriot Ft Myers Estero through a Hotwire-Hot Rate so, I really didn’t know what I was going to get but from the minute we stopped by the Front Desk it was nice experience. Staff was friendly and warm, allowing us to do a earlier Check In, offered suggestions on places of interest etc. The common areas are nicely decorated and clean. Although I didn’t get their best room, it was perfectly sized. The kitchenette has a full size fridge, small range, microwave, plates, utensils even pots. Room was super clean, aside of the king size bed there’s a couch and small desk and like that wasn’t enough they offer other small appliances upon request. Hot breakfast was included, eggs, bacon, hash browns were served by staff and waffle bar for self service. To summarize it was PERFECT, will definitely recommend and return to this hotel

Nice hotel, clean, didn't spend a lot of time there, but my daughter, a 16 year old hockey player, needed a decent breakfast. I do understand that they had to adjust, but it an sad excuse for free breakfast. I understand the attendant has to get the hot items. But, if you want something else, there is a sign THAT THEY WILL BILL YOUR ROOM FOR THE SECONDS!!!!! If you are not getting anything hot, it is a packaged muffin for of preservatives, a granola bar, or some fruit with a peel. THE EXIT IS VERY DANGEROUS COMING OUT>>>be careful. Very nice woman at checkin.

After receiving a reply from the owner to my review on google, I decided to change my rating from 2 stars to one! Room was uncomfortably small, when you open the sofa bed it touches the bed so you can’t get to the other side. Towels were put in the bag outside the door as required by CDC but were not replaced for more than 10 hours and several reminders. Water is standing all over the floor in the shower, AC is strange no matter what setting it’s on. Front desk person “by accident” charged 3 nights instead of 2......location is great though and close to the stores (walkable) and beach is 15-20 min away. Never staying there again. If you travel alone, room will be fine.

Thank you for your review. At no point during your stay were any issues brought up to the front desk supervisor or manager. Neither myself, nor my supervisor, received any emails or voicemails regarding any issues during your stay. We could have looked into a different room for you and investigated what the challenge was with your towel delivery, but we were never given the chance.

We recently stayed 8 nights here. We were excited to have a "suite" with a balcony for our longer stay. When we opened the door to our room, we were very surprised at how small it was. Yes, it had a fridge, sink, dishwasher, microwave, and a king bed, but very minimal room to move around our suitcases! The pool was nice and clean, but the area around it was very small. There were just 8 lounge chairs set up side by side on one side of the pool, and no room for chairs on the other side. The biggest disappointment, though, was that it felt like this hotel was being so "cheap". They have a sign hanging in their breakfast area that states, "Dear valued guests, We kindly ask that you take only one item per guest due to food shortages from suppliers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please do not waste food or take excessive food items to your room as this needs to last for everyone. Any unused/uneaten items taken will be charged to your account at checkout." SERIOUSLY? No one wants to see food wasted, but threatening to CHARGE you for anything they might find in your room (and who does that anyway?) certainly didn't make us feel like "valued guests". It just seemed like they were cutting corners like crazy. They will clean your room, if you ask them the day before. We understand that, especially during the pandemic. We didn't have them clean ours during our stay. We did ask the maid service in the hall for clean towels. She gave them to us, only after we put our dirty ones in the hall. They will give you a plate of hot breakfast food, IF you give them your room number. The property is quite remote so not sure who they think will come off the street to attempt getting a free meal. It's just not what we were expecting for what we were paying per night. It's a clean, newer place, with friendly staff but we surely felt like we could've done better with our hotel choice for what we paid.

Thank you for choosing the TownePlace Suites. All of our room types and pictures are listed on our website and it states in the description that the suite you booked is 300 square feet. Our Studio Balcony Suites are optimal for single business travelers and couples/families typically book our larger suites to accommodate their needs. Our pool/patio furniture has been reduced and spaced out to ensure social distancing during the pandemic. It is first come, first served but if there is ever an issue with overcrowding, we will address as needed. Other amenities require a reservation and sign-in to ensure everyone gets a chance to use the facilities such as; the fitness center, BBQ area, and business center. We ask people to be mindful with the items they are taking from the breakfast area. (As not to take excess that just ends up in the trash.) Unfortunately, we have had to place a sign up to remind people to only take what they can eat at breakfast so it does not go to waste. (When guests take excess items and then leave 8 yogurts, 4 boxes of cereal, 5 apples, and 12 granola bars in the room after they checkout; we explain that they will be charged for these.) There is absolutely no reason anyone should be wasting these items. Our breakfast was designed to give guests who are registered with us a plate of hot food to start their day. (Yes, unfortunately, we have people try to "sneak in" to breakfast who aren't staying with us.) The number of guests you register upon arrival will be the number of plates your room will receive at breakfast. If you bring more guests than are registered, your room rate will go up accordingly depending on the number of people in the room. This is why we verify room numbers, names, and the number of guests registered. If we did not ask for the towels to exchange to wash and get back into the rooms, guests will keep the dirty linen all week in their rooms and there wouldn’t be enough to give to people that request fresh towels. (We know this because we’ve run into this issue over and over so we’ve had to start asking for the towels back.) The pandemic has created a HUGE mess with our suppliers and we haven’t been able to get the amount of linen we actually need in over a year. Everything is on back-order and many hotels are having the same challenges we are. We have to exchange soiled linens in order to WASH them and provide CLEAN linen for our guests. Again, not "cutting corners"; trying to provide all of our guests with CLEAN linen for their stay until our suppliers can produce & ship more inventory. All of our current pandemic policies are clearly stated on our “Guest Arrival Letter” we hand out to each guest at check-in. We’re not trying to hide anything and are completely transparent with our policies. We are trying to do the best with what have been given (and what we have left). Unfortunately, it looks like it will be at least another year until the hotel industry starts healing from the pandemic to be able to provide the full services we're all accustomed to again.

Called the front desk requesting towels, I asked if we could put a bag of chips on room tab too since they were bringing towels up anyway (thought it was ok to ask because the day prior, as we were leaving to see our grandparents we got Tylenol and just put it on the room tab and it was fine then) but then Jen (with an attitude) answered “Um I’m not really sure what you want, like you can walk and get them yourself, I don’t know what kind of question that is.” Listen, I am completely ok with walking myself downstairs to get a bag of chips, but I’m also a paying guest, and working at a hotel, it’s assumed to get good hospitality and great customer service, and Jen provided neither of these things. Unfortunate, and I would recommend this being brought to her attention. 1/10 Jen.

As a limited service hotel in a global pandemic, we do not have food and beverage "room service" and ask that our guests please proceed to the Market to choose and pay for their items. Sincerest apologies for the inconvenience of asking you to choose your own chips from the Market as I did not originally understand your request when you demanded we "bring you chips." As I mentioned in our call, we have several different items and chips to choose from and I did not understand what exactly you were asking for. We never get calls for Market items to be brought to the room so when you stated to "bring you towels and chips" I needed clarification with what you wanted. The housekeeper brought you towels from her cart right away as she was working in the same hall when you called. The gentleman from your room came down a little later and picked out chips and a bottle of wine and I took it off your folio due to previous the miscommunication once he gave me the room number. Please be patient with others when they are just trying to understand your requests. Everyone in the hospitality field is working long hours with very little staff right now; I had 3 other guests in line when I was on the phone with you trying to understand what "chips" you wanted.
