Midway down the Florida Keys, you’ll find an island called Duck Key. It’s small. Secluded. Yet central to Miami and Key West, and easy to reach by car, boat or plane. Duck Key has a few telltale Florida Keys features: Aquamarine water all around. Glorious sunrises and sunsets. An island sensibility that lulls you into a state of total relaxation – except for when you’re out fishing, snorkeling, paddleboarding or gliding along with the ocean breeze on a kiteboard. The best of the Keys is waiting for you at Hawks Cay Resort.

This place was amazing. With quality drinks and staff that loves to serve, this was the most peaceful vacation I’ve ever been on. The staff comes around in the mornings with free drinks occasionally, and they always bring cool towels and fruit. When my friends and I asked

I understand that Hawks Cay Resort suffered a staggering blow from last year's hurricane Irma. However, to look at it today, you would never know it! Major improvements have been made with the Resort's security, dolphin experience, restaurant (with an additional higher end

Since I use Tripadvisor reviews for all my trips, I feel compelled to write my first after I felt many reviews have been written for this property by people with personal stake in it's success. Many of the villas have private owners and I'm guessing they've written the stellar

Expectations NOT met! Certainly not the resort that is advertised. Cheap beds, sheets, pillows. Every night room got hot. Room and hall smelled musty. Internet worked sporadically. Some interactions with staff surprised me with rudeness or flat-out being unhelpful. Added a

kellie, in response to your question....the villas are pretty cool , ours had a hot tub wick was pretty cool (i don't know if they all have)....so maybe ask for one. the villa areas have more space around them, but they are further away from the action areas of the hotel - but the collection and drop off golf buggies pick you up every 10 mins. we had visited this resort before and it was pretty cool then, but since it was rebuilt after the hurricane i feel it has gone down market a bit, but the prices have gone up.therefore personally i feel its not worth it. for a few dollars more try cheeka lodge along the road ...now thats a great place........not too many kids , but it you want a LOT of kids and splashing and running and a scramble for sun loungers , then hawks key it should be. the resort fee is a con.! refuse to pay it. anything else let me know.. cheers.

They do not offer an all-inclusive option. They have on-site dining options, or you will need to travel to one of the other keys for restaurants or fast food. The nearest grocery store is in Marathon about 10 miles away. We stayed in the main resort and our room had a mini fridge, but no microwave for warming food. If you order food at any of the restaurants or bars on the resort, you can have the bill charged to your room.

The Sunset Villas are a better option if you’d rather be in your own “house” with separate bedrooms and kitchen. You’ll have all of the same amenities as the hotel, which is a short walk from there. There is a pool for the Sunset units, so you may request a location closer to that. The beautiful sunset over the water is the attraction for that location as well.

Yes there are refrigerators in every room

Yes. Per day. Per accomodation. It is the Florida tax for resort facilities and is per cost of room, so a 3br place is simply more because of the cost per night, not the number of guests.

"If you are staying in a villa, stay in one of the newer units at the marina"
