You get what you pay for is so true about this place. We stayed as a family of 5 here for a week. The beds are so uncomfortable and dirty. The cleaning lady was the nicest staff member she check on us every day to see if we needed anything. The shower had no water pressure. The toilet was not working properly. The kids swam only one day in pool the other days they kept informing us they were cleaning it. If you don’t mind uncomfortable and dirty then this is the place for you. There was one positive side I can say, you could leave your car in parking lot and walk to everything. The attraction we’re close enough to walk from hotel you saved on parking fees that way.
Reserved a room for three nights June 20-23 2021. Made reservations on June 12 and received confirmation the same day. Drove over 600 miles only to find they did not have a room reserved for us. Showed them the confirmation and was told they could not find it in their system. Offered a smoking room. That was their only offer. Found another, nicer hotel, for less cost online. No apologies or any attempt at solving the problem. We were not the only ones having this problem. Will never attempt to stay at the Village Inn again!
I'm surprised the city health department hasn't had this place demolished, discusting I'm sure the owner of this facility wouldn't have his or her family stay here!!! Mold !!! the ceiling had patch jobs everywhere and we stayed on the lower level. I don't even know what to say shame on the OWNERS of this facility!!! Seriously to this is NOT ok for any one!!! One Star goes to the nice lady at the front desk she's only doing her job.
I stayed here with my niece and friend from June 1st through the 7th. It was a decent hotel. They updated the exterior, some areas of the room. It was a decent hotel to just sleep in for the night. Its location is fabulous! It's within walking distance to the Boardwalk, many different restaurants, shops and bars. We practically walked everywhere, except for the few times we took an Uber. The staff were friendly, we asked for a late check out so we wouldn't have to carry our luggage everywhere for the last minute things, but they declined. Check in is 4pm, check out is 11am. For the week we were there though, it wasn't bad. It was one of the mote cheaper options for our budget.
The location is terrific, the staff is friendly, the pool area is nicely done with shade and some comfortable seating. The price was good for the area. The to go breakfast consists of: oatmeal packets, apples, sweet rolls, muffins, juices. The usual continental breakfast. Most of the outside looks nice. The reception area did not give a good first impression of the interior, dark and not well kept. If you can stand the dirty room, then book it. Our room was dingy with poor lighting and dark paint on walls, a hand towel had (what appeared to be makeup) on it. Maybe it just didn't come out when washed?? Saw a spot of blood that did look like it had been washed but was still visible. It was replaced by staff. There appeared to be a hole from a cigarette in the top cover. Curtain wand to open and close drapes was broken. The top layer of the bathroom door was partly off. A bit of mold in the shower area. Yes, this is an older motel and it needs a good cleaning and items replaced. Read the fine print about a $100 deposit. …
