Fantastic replica of a New England Salt Box! Full of antiques and history! Great stay in Tampa Bay! Many rooms to choose from. Even the perfect venue for weddings and parties! Authentic in every way and the owner/Innkeeper will gladly share the stories of the furnishings !
We located this bed and breakfast on the Tampa Bed and Breakfast website. As soon as we read about this unique lodging, my husband and I made plans to make a trip to Brandon, after visiting our son in Sarasota. We love history and we love antiques. Behind the Fence Bed and Breakfast is both of these things and so much more...This is a serene and beautiful place. To stay at this bed and breakfast is to stay in a comfortable, living museum. It is SO worth the visit to hear how Larry and Carolyn Yoss collected all of their primitive antiques nand built their saltbox home and cottages. You will never meet a more hospitable host and hostess. Brandon, Florida is very close to Tampa, Florida. The next time we are in the area, we will make a point to return to Behind the Fence Bed and Breakfast. We can't wait to sit out by the inviting pool, in front of our cottage room, and enjoy a refreshing swim, a picnic lunch, a chance to read a good book, or an opportunity to talk with Larry and Carolyn again.…

This property sits at the end of the street in a regular neighbourhood so do believe your navigation when it takes you there. A hidden gem off the beaten path will greet you with a cute salt box house and lots of greenery. The owners are nice and sweet. Make you feel right at home. We stayed at a bungalow facing the pool and the room was spacious enough to fit a family with kids. It looks like you traveled in time. Every little detail will make you feel like all the hustle and bustle was really left behind the fence. There is also an Amish sawmill on the property and some kind of a small nature preserve behind it where there was a walking trail but we did not take it. Breakfast was simple with plenty of coffee and stories about the house. Almost everything there was built with their own hands and all the stuff on the inside has family history to it. We visited the Alafia park the next day and found the B&B location to be very convenient. Also not far from Tampa. We'll definitively be back. Loved this place!…
We are repeat customers to Behind The Fence. This little B&B is unique and hidden from the bustle of the city. The "cabins" take you back to another era. They are always clean and comfortable. The main house where breakfast is served is even more captivating! The Yoss family has spent years collecting furniture & other items that you would only expect to find in a Natural History museum. They are always friendly and working to fill any need. Mr. Yoss even took the time to show me around the lot. Just a fun & relaxing place for family or to escape.
