My bedding was filthy and Manager Randy became belligerent when I requested a partial refund for the experience and additional wait. Food, hair, stains and a sock from a previous guess was found in the room. I was treated poorly as a guest and left the property. Please check the room travelers!!!
I just completed a weekend stay at the FI at RB and had a pleasant experience. From check-in to check-out, the staff were courteous and helpful. I'd like to recognize Lewis at the front desk who helped me not once, but twice with directions while traveling from Washington, D.C. one foggy evening. He also thanked me for being a Marriott Titanium Elite member which was appreciated. The hotel is a short drive from the beach and downtown attractions and offers daily complimentary breakfast. Highly recommended, and thanks again, Lewis!
We were traveling from CT to the Outer Banks and only stayed one night. We were warmly welcomed at check in. The property appeared to be well cared for with vibrant colors for carpeting etc. The pool was very clean and had a great view to the outside. There was a bar open on the lower level in the evenings. The breakfast had enough choices. We would recommend this Fairfield Inn. The area had several Tanger Outlets and many restaurants nearby.
We have stayed here before, price was right for our midweek visit and it’s close by to our needs. But, will not be returning. The entire stay felt like a cheap hotel - we had no hot water, breakfast was a joke, handle on toilet was broke (even after my husband tried to fix it), cable kept on going out on TV, coffee was not refilled at the breakfast bar and finally came out tasting like mud, and the topper was someone walked into our room around 5 pm in the evening while we were in there. We asked who was there but they quickly left the room. We reported the water problem and the response was “you are the 5th person to report this, I guess it’s throughout the hotel”. I’ll go up the road to the Hilton.
The front desk staff was super friendly. I accidentally left my coat in the room after we checked out! The front desk staff got back to us quickly that they had found it, and they sent it to me quite quickly! I am so thankful. We've stayed there before and always been happy.
Beds were nice and firm unlike most hotels when they are too soft. Appreciated a variety of pillow types and hooks in the bathroom, although more hooks would be great. LOVE the recycling can in the room - I just hope it's not for show and the items actually get recycled. I noticed the empty holders in the shower for large bottles of shampoo - I hope the hotel moves to this instead of using the sample size bottles that are plastic dependent. Nice desk chair and workspace (I had a King with a pullout sofa). Check in was quick and efficient. Staff were very nice.
I have stayed at the nearby Holiday Inn Express Rehoboth Beach several times this year. I enjoyed my prior stays there. I have also enjoyed my stays at other Fairfield Inns in other locations. This was my first time staying here at this Fairfield location, because as a Marriott Bonvoy Lifetime Platinum member I had an annual night free room. I actually stayed here two consecutive nights including my one night free and my second night using my 35k Bonvoy hotel points. My first night was in room 326 with two queen beds, because that was what was available at the time of my check in. My second night was a confirmed king, therefore, I changed my room in the morning around 11am. I was able to easily change my room in the morning, because a king bedroom became available for my second night stay. My king bedroom 219 was smaller than the 326 queen bedroom, but had a better view of the front parking lot of the hotel. My 326 queen bedroom was larger, but had a view of the rear parking lot. The hotel offered a complimentary buffet breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, Jimmy Dean muffin sandwiches, cereal, coffee, tea, milk, bananas, apples, etc. Their complimentary buffet breakfast was actually better than the Holiday Inn Express complimentary breakfast. Also this hotel does have a bar in the basement, which the Holiday Inn does not have. I recommend staying here.…
My family and I stayed at this property for three nights for vacation as part of our first trip to Rehoboth Beach. As always, let's go Pros and Cons. PROS 1. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, especially each of the times when we asked for towels throughout our stay. We arrived early (around 2:30 p.m.) and the hotel offered us early check in and on the top floor (4th) and far from the elevators. 2. For the most part, the room was clean. Of course, because of the pandemic, the hotel doesn't offer daily housekeeping. However, you can sit the room trash cans outside of the door by 10 a.m. and the staff will empty and put new bags in them. 3. The hotel is located on the very busy Coastal Highway (CH) which allows for access to plenty of dining and shopping options. We didn't consume the hotel's free breakfast, but purchased Chick-fil-A and that was a five-minute drive away. The Tanger Outlets' stores are spread out just north and just south of the hotel and across CH. A Wal-Mart is located nearly directly across from the property on CH. CONS 1. The property's entrance/exit off of Coastal Highway (CH) - particularly and especially the exit - presents a challenge. The exit sits right before a traffic light. When traffic is busy on CH (which I found was anytime after 9 a.m.) it can take some time to exit the parking lot just to get on to northbound CH. And since the beach/boardwalk is located south of the hotel, it requires making a U-turn onto southbound CH...and that's across three very busy lanes of traffic. That was very frustrating whenever we wanted to exit the hotel, even when traveling northbound on CH. 2. Speaking of the busy CH, the road noise presented a problem when trying to sleep. Our room was located on the side of the hotel nearest to CH. You may want to ask for a room located on the opposite side of the hotel that's closest to the trees. 3.There were some noticeable and unsightly stains on the walls in the bathroom that need to and should be cleaned. If we can see them, then I'm sure the hotel staff can see them. Overall: I'd probably stay at this property again. I don't think it's a $400+ per night property and I understand that's a summer beach season price markup. Again, it met expectations and I'd give it a 3.5 if Tripadvisor allowed for the .5 ratings.…
Checked on and smelled mold in the room. Asked for another room but each of the three other rooms had mold. Avoid at all costs! The front desk clerk who showed the rooms agreed that they smelled of mold. Marriott is no longer a trusted name with a property like this.
Had a nice 2 night stay here the week of my birthday. Check in was easy and fast. The room was clean and they put individually wrapped sanitizer cloths all over for guests use. The hotel has an indoor pool. Parking is free and there's plenty spaces. The hotel is in a area that has many restaurants and stores nearby. The Tanger Outlets are a short drive away. Would recommend this hotel.
