The location is great, a short block from the beach. Free parking on the lot, with a shower outside to rinse off sand. Very kind and helpful staff. We got there a few hours before check in time, we weren't able to check in early, which was fine, but they let us park there while we went to the beach. After the long drive, we needed to use the restroom but they don't have one available in the lobby or anywhere before checking into your room, so that was inconvenient. While the room wasn't fancy or up to date, it was mostly clean, however the fridge was definitely not clean, we were missing a flat sheet on one of the beds and the shower wasn't great. Water pressure and temp ok, but the shower head sprayed water in odd directions and was obviously old. Bathroom was very small with no counter space. All the negative aside, it was as we expected for the price we paid and all we really needed it for was to sleep, so it was perfectly acceptable for our needs. We'll definitely stay there again if we come to the area.

Twice we toured Dewey beach...and twice we booked Sea ESTA. Listen, if you are looking for celebrities or need to spend ridiculous amounts of money...then no, this place is not for you. We are in our rooms from 1 am to 6am. And this ace does it's job. The money we save goes to local businesses and fun. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and excellent location. Be smart.

The location is really good, it is close to the beach & restaurants are within walking distance. The front door said masks were required in the office but none of the employees were wearing them. The rooms could use an update - the bathroom walls particularly looked poor, and when I went to my room upon check-in the maid had not finished cleaning the room and the front desk had to send her back to finish (and also some guy went in with her) while I waited. It is one of the cheaper hotels & not the quality I am used to.

The room was in awful condition. There was a strong, musty smell immediately as we walked in. The headboard on the one bed had nails sticking out and was coming off of the wall. One of the electrical outlets had wires poking out of the wallpaper. The bathroom was not much better. There were hairs and dirt littered about the bath tub when we arrived. The toilet space was crammed, barely had 6 inches between the toilet and bathtub. This was the final straw: We arrived late in the evening and decided to just tough it out for one night and then considered asking for another room the next day. Unfortunately, my partner and I were informed the next morning about a family emergency and we needed to cut our trip short. I called the front desk to inform them that we were checking out early. Honestly, we were not upset about leaving this hotel anyway. As soon as I told the receptionist we were leaving early, she immediately cut me off and rudely barked that Sea Esta does not issue refunds under any circumstances. I didn't even ask for a refund. I was only informing her about our departure and wanted to make sure there was no outstanding balance on the room. Furthermore, the receptionist went on a tangent about she would especially not give me a refund because I booked the room on Booking.com and how unfair it is that Sea Esta has to pay to be listed on the site. Um, excuse me? How is that my fault? Is anyone forcing Sea Esta to advertise on this site? Maybe if they adjusted their attitude and fixed up their rooms- they might not need to list themselves on the booking sites. They might get enough business by positive word of mouth. You don't give refunds? Well, we don't give 5 star reviews. Basically, I am saying that we won't be back. Ever

It allowed pets. Location is good. The man in charge of housekeeping was friendly. That’s all I got.... This place was absolutely disgusting. I won’t even go into details. Check pics for a tiny sample of what we witnessed. The night we stayed there were also several parties going on in the rooms into all hours of the night. Fights broke out and doors were banged on until 4am. I will drop another 100.00 a night to stay somewhere else. They need to invest in this place

The place is not the greatest but the location and parking is very convenient. You can walk to the beach in 100 steps, go to eat without using your car, very close to other beaches and many local restaurants and places to shop

We were looking for a quiet motel, close to the beach that allowed dogs. Reception was friendly and welcoming to both people and dogs. Easy walk to the beach, which was beautiful and refreshing after travelling through crowded cities for several days. Room was older, but everything was clean and worked! Fridge and microwave. Unfortunately we could not find a restaurant or food store open, but delighted to see the sea witch festival that was in town. Lovely walk around the town and the diner next door had a great breakfast! Very good value.

We were down to Delaware, from the Poconos, for the Dover Nascar Cup race, staying Saturday and Sunday nights. Saturday night the motel was booked. It's a block walk from the beach, and less than a $10 Uber ride to the night life in Rehoboth Beach, which we decided to do on Sunday night after the race. Room was made while we were at the race, and everyone associated with the hotel that we met where very welcoming.

The location is the only thing that is acceptable. Everything else is just terrible. First of all, the air conditioning is just there to hide the terrible cigarette smell. Second The room is small and cramped and the bathroom almost made me puke. Finally The TV wouldn’t work and I was told there was a Roku remote in the room. We looked for it and it wasn’t there. So the staff LIED to me just to get me out of their hair. Pets are aloud so that’s good I guess.

It’s close to the ocean, less than a block walk, and it is clean, but it hasn’t been updated in decades. There is no circulation in the room and the wallpaper is coming off the walls in the bathroom and bedroom. Look it is one of the cheaper hotels in Dewey so you get what you pay for, it’s a short walk to the beach and it is clean, nothing more. If you want any kind of pleasantry than probably pick a different (and more expensive) hotel, if all you are looking for is a cheap get away then this will do.
