Look at the possibility of activities for children and teens. Security at the gate especially at night might be a good suggestion. I will recommend this accommodation at any time. Relaxing and quite atmosphere.
I'll never recommend your hotel to my worst enemy. You must 1st upgrade your hotel. Apart from the fact that I had to bath with cold water, you must revise your breakfast menu. Serve fresh fruits not teen staff. Your TV was not working and your staff pretended as if they didn't know. In short your hotel is a hell hole. I'm still waiting for my refund as I had to check out earlier than anticipated
In all my years traveling on 6 Continents I cannot recall a worse hotel. It is shabby, neglected, and poorly managed. Virtually everything is crumbling - from the peeling paint on the front door, the worn out carpets, the torn bed linen. There was no hot water for showers, the air conditioner did not work, the wi/fi did not connect ,the door card would not operate. Even the Vending machine was empty. The Staff were totally indifferent and unhelpful ( they've obviously heard it all before). We walked out after one night- just don't go here.!!
Stayed here from 13th-19th July 2019. It started off ok, everything seemed to work fine but slowly the hotel revealed itself to be a complete shambles. Day 1 - the internet is not useable for any type of work and is heavily blocked by its server. Day 2 - the air-conditioner, stopped working in the room. Of course airconditioning also warms a room in cold weather that is winter in July in South Africa. Day 3 - the TV stopped worked (their sky channels were turned off) All of these things are not super essential in a hotel, I can live without these things... but the worst thing that could of happened is the HOT WATER stopped working on day 3. No hot showers for the rest of the trip. Management explained of a 'technical issue' - and were generally very unaccommodating, non-supportive and not even apologetic. By Day 4 the lifts had stopped working, no buffet breakfast. In all, an absolute shambles of a hotel. On top of this, the place is very dated, rooms are gloomy and stuffy and the overall feel of the hotel is that is not managed well at all. Clement the manager, who we spoke with at the end was just downright rude. He said, "why didn't you raise these issues before?" - where had spoke to reception staff every night to ask about hot water. All the men at reception were generally very arrogant, rude and simply responded with "I don't know what to say". Completely unacceptable. There must be some serious changes to this hotel. No offer of compensation or any apologies. There are many many other very nice hotels in Summerstrand. We swiftly checked out and moved to another hotel. In all my time travelling, I've never experienced anything like this. For the cost of this hotel, or cheaper you can have a much better experience somewhere else. I generally don't write bad reviews but I strongly recommend you avoid this hotel!…
Very dissapointed with a hotel which was meant to be a 4 star. Even worse than a student resident. Furniture is too ancient, the toilet extractor is noisy I hardly slept at night. Toilets are overflowing
