Admiralty is perfectly situated in the beachfront suburb of Summerstrand, a 10 minute drive to the city center, the airport and 200 meters walking distance to the beach. It is close to the Boardwalk Casino, entertainment complex and very well placed to visit the local Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and Technicon. The Humewood Golf course, one of the world's most challenging link courses, is a 5 minute drive away. Port Elizabeth is known as the wartersports capital of South Africa and is a popular holiday destination due to its eco attractions, mild winters and ideal bathing conditions all year round. I stayed at the lovely Admiralty Beach House with a small group of people who were in Port Elizabeth to watch the South Africa v England cricket test match. The owner & staff were all extremely friendly & welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious & very comfortably furnished. Breakfasts were delicious & freshly made to order. Drinks were available, at very reasonable cost, and signed for on trust to be paid on departure.

Had a great stay - our first night on arrival at Port Elizabeth Airport (about 25 minute drive). Very welcoming staff and good proportioned rooms with thoughtful decoration. The staff could not do more for us, it was a great start to our holiday. One tip, if you go out to dinner, do not expect to be able to use the lounge when you get back - they close up quite early.

Lovely welcome from the owner Josephine. She showed us the beautiful property and our accommodation. The interior is tastefully decorated with attention to detail. We rented the 2-bedroom suite and it was spacious, private and clean, with French doors opening up to the pool deck. Breakfast was plenty and beautifully presented. A continental breakfast is offered along with several home-cooked options. Josephine was so kind to let us check out in the late afternoon so that we could sleep in, relax, and prepare for our 30 hour trip back home to the US. Admiralty Beach House was the perfect ending to an amazing vacation in South Africa!

We have been coming to Admiralty Beach House for 20 years now. In all the time we were and are always more than satisfied! We just don't know where to start or stop with our praise! First of all, we would like to mention Jo and Alan, the hosts! They are two wonderful people, always eager to help, to support and to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We've traveled a lot in South Africa, but for us it is the nicest place to be, we feel very safe and comfortable here. It feels almost like home! Everything feels so familiar.
But not only the hosts, but also the staff, friendly, courteous and helpful. We have now been in all the rooms, in the loft and in the cottage. All are wonderfully designed, furnished with love and taste. The cleanliness in all rooms is very good! What we like best is that all rooms have en-suit bathrooms. Also here: very nicely furnished and spotless clean! The breakfast offered was very lovingly prepared and very tasty! We have also recommended friends and family here over the years to stay in the Admiralty Beach House. Everyone was satisfied and very grateful for such a great experience!
What more could you wish for? We highly recommend Admiralty Beach House! This is where the legendary South African hospitality comes alive! Thank you for yet another wonderful experience!

My daughter and I absolutely love this place. Great ambiance, lavishly furnished and clean. The room we stayed in is spacious and clean with a partial view to the ocean, great for relaxing and enjoying the sound of the beach. The staff were welcoming and available to meet our needs. Breakfast was an absolute treat!

Fabulous place to stay. Really friendly staff and very comfortable rooms. Lovely garden with small swimming pool (but big enough for cooling off in!). Fabulous breakfasts of continental style (lots of fresh fruit, artisan breads and cheeses) plus cooked options. Great entertainment watching Male masked weaver at breakfast trying to scare off his rival (which happened to be his own reflection in the chrome staircase railing).

We stayed in the family suite for one night as we were heading off on a safari. From arrival to departure we were made to feel at home with Josephine and Alan taking care of our every need. The family suite was perfect for our family of four and it opened out to the pool and decking which the boys loved. Breakfast was hearty and very tasty - again they went out of their way to make sure we had all that we needed and were able to relax in the peaceful surroundings.

What a delightful Guest House. It is so tastefully decorated and you feel totally at home the minute you walk through the door. The cosy atmosphere makes you want to kick your shoes off and just unwind. It’s is close to all main restaurants and beaches! Loved our stay and highly recommend it
