This was an ideal one-nighter for us at the start of our Garden Route trip. Close to Port Eliz Airport (thanks for the very clear directions to reach Summer Blue!). Simple, clean, well-equipped and comfortable room; good wifi; nice breakfast; beautiful gardens that regrettably we had no time to linger in. Thereasa was very well-organised in explaining everything, organising breakfast and giving helpful information and directions. Great value for money.

As soon as we arrived at Summer Blue, we experienced a great amount of hospitality. Thereasa manages the guesthouse and treats everything with great care. She asks you the day before what you'd like to eat for breakfast and prepares it on time so you can have it as soon as you get to the breakfast room. This makes it easy to eat and get to work on time. The garden is beautiful and very tranquil. There is sufficient security which is good for those who hire cars and do not want to leave their car on the street. The room is well-equipped with a microwave, mini-fridge, kettle, iron, ironing board, hair dryer and a TV with selected DSTV channels. I will definitely stay at Summer Blue again.

Summer Blue truly is an amazing place to stay when visiting Port Elizabeth. Theresa is really a fantastic hostess and personally prepares the guests breakfasts to perfection. The old adage of arrive as guests and leave as friends has a true meaning at Summer Blue. Having stayed at numerous B&B Guest houses over the last 14 years, I can truly say that Summer Blue far out weighs the rest and that includes 5 star guest houses in Sandton JHB. I was fortunate enough to be accommodated in two rooms during my stay at Summer Blue, both were suitably furnished with all amenities that one would require for an extended stay and can be truly called a home away from home, considering that I also stayed over the weekends due to distance away from home. I had a wonderful stay at Summer Blue Guest House. The staff is very friendly and they make you feel like part of the family. Summer Blue is the place to be away from home.I stayed in the room facing the gardens an I truly enjoyed the queit gardens and cool breezes at night...couldnt wait to get back in the evening and chill in the garden. The room was cozy..the bed was sooo nice with a bed warmer..loved it!Most of all the host Theresa was an amazing hostess giving me tips where to visit and she packed me a delicious breakfast to go when I had early morning meetings..Thank you Summer blue staff for making my stay wonderful!
