We arrived after a long drive from Plettenberg Bay, and after parking the car we went to check in.
2 Yorkshire terriers was running about barking in reception, and smelt really bad of dog smell.
Lady was quite pleasant but was disorganised, had allocated are room and went to put our bags.
Looking around the room was 1960s style, bathroom had a low bath and pink tiles, I noticed the soap holder coming off the wall.
My husband noticed that the pillow cases were dirty and bed sheet had hole in it.
We had to whisper to talk as could here the reception lady talking on the phone and dogs barking.
We decided that we were not going to get much sleep here so got our bags and left.
We were the half an hour, gave the keys back and said we can't stay here the place smells of dogs and noisy.
We found somewhere else down the road.

Stayed here for a convention at the nearby Cape Recife School, Port Elizabeth. Wifi signal was available only at the reception. Room allocated was very spacious with wardrobes, seating area, dressing table and a large comfy bed. Bathroom was equally spacious with good storage area for toiletries and plentiful hot water from a high pressure shower. The reception and pond-side lounge are pleasantly appointed. Owner is helpful

Got to the Hotel around 5pm and find the doors lock-after ringing the bell we were allowed into the premises- so good security. Rooms was space with nice bathroom - included was big shower with 3 spray heads making it special. Bed was double and comfortable. No dinner serve and also do not allow to book diner against Hotel when going out for supper. ( most other hotels will issue you with voucher ) - breakfast was no frills and had the basic covered. Coffee , yogurt , muesli and eggs.

We stayed in the section near reception and the office in the house - the website pictures are misleading, rooms very small (bathrooms tiny) and in addition to someone showering late or early being a guaranteed wake up (or using the bathroom for that matter), the staff and owner seem to forget they are meant to make their guests comfortable so merrily commence cleaning around you from the moment they start work! It was not all bad (good sheets and pillows), the place was also probably better in its hey day, however near the end of our vacation, it was not a great finish.

Refused to stay !! Room not as booked. Showed 3 other rooms even worse. Beds clearly didn’t have clean sheets and clear people slept in beds, not even made up properly. Will definately not recommend anybody to this place. The manager did however apologised.

We had just flown in from Johannesburg to start a drive through the garden route and picked the hotel to start with. The staff were so friendly, helpful and considerate and made our stay an absolute pleasure. The spacious rooms and the fabulous bathrooms made our stay very special. The breakfast was a feast and we needed nothing more until evening. It is very easily found and only 10 minutes from the airport and we were given directions as to how we started the journey. An excellent choice.

I should have read the reviews here. This place is awful and bears no resemblance to the impression given on another booking site. My room had a very dirty old carpet and my 'patio' was a tiny area looking on to a high wall but worst of all was the broken chair on the patio. I didn't bother to report it because they know it's broken but have chosen to leave it there.
My bathroom was very dirty and the decor of that and the bedroom too ghastly too describe.
Reception on arrival was a frazzled lady who didn't bother to arrange the one thing I asked for.
Breakfast was ok; linen was okay.
This hotel is better suited to the workshops and/or conferences they host and whose documents are stacked in huge piles all over reception.
The best aspect was the charming lady on duty in the morning who managed to arrange a car wash I asked for and who seemed more efficient than her evening counterpart.

When you first arrive here, you are quite impressed by the setup, but then you begin to notice all the things that could so easily have been remedied - sheets with huge tears in them, stained duvet covers, horribly marked overlays on tables, an exercise bike in reception, cardboard boxes all over the pooldeck, a TV with only four channels, the managers baby howling, cracked tiles, empty plant pots and a general "couldn't care less" attitude from the management - the advertising is also slightly misleading in that the beach and indeed any view is nowhere near the hotel. They can so easily fix this place and give it some soul....but they need professional help !!
the breakfast was excellent....thanks to the kitchen ladies !!!

Charming little hotel just a small walk away from the beach. Friendly staff and the cutest hotel-doggie you have ever seen. Rooms could do with a bit of a revamp, but at least the rooms, towels and linen are clean! Would gladly visit again.
