We were camping but the site we had marked for Inhassoro turned out to be filled with contractors. It was dark so we abandoned the camping idea and booked into a chalet for one night at Yellowfin Lodge. Sometimes planning needs to be interrupted by fate.
We were treated like Royalty (? that doesn't happen often). We packed up the next day, had lunch at Vilanculos, and then promptly returned to Yellowfin Lodge where we stayed for 5 nights.
It was quiet and peaceful despite other guests coming and going. We had access to a barbecue, a huge outrageously outfitted kitchen (electric egg boiler!), a lounge, pool, and the beach on our doorstep.
Just a word - there is no such thing as a "private beach". The beach is public and anybody can stroll up and down past your place but they can not come in.
The chalet had a very comfortable double bed, was large and airy, and had aircon, although our weather was surprisingly cool. The bathroom had so much space I did my morning stretches in it, with a large shower, washbasin, and flush toilet that WORKED!
We sat on the verandah and stared at the sea, took long walks on the beach, lounged by the pool, bought locally caught seafood, and made dinner on the barbecue. I took afternoon naps at 11 in the morning and read a 300-page book cover to cover.
The manager, Simendu, is a jewel. Already busy in the garden and airing the empty chalets at 5 in the morning...ready to wash the car, clean the barbecue, take care of our laundry, get some crab, you name it he provided.
I recommend this place as highly as I can. It restored my energy and my well-being.

We can highly recommend this accommodation in Inhassoro to everyone! The staff at Yellow Fin Lodge is incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed in room number 2 and could see the sea from our bed! The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. The shower has hot water. There is a massive kitchen with all the equipment you need to make yourself a meal. While we were enjoying dinner we were lucky to see some dolphins jumping from the sea! Behind the kitchen there's a pool with a gorgeous view on the sea. Can't recommend this place enough!!

Very much enjoyed Yellowfin lodge in Inhassoro. Beautiful place with chalets that are spacious, clean and comfortable and have air-conditioning. There is a pool and great view on the beach. No WiFi or restaurant available but a fully equipped kitchen and a bbq to service yourself nice meals. We got some very tasty coconuts from the garden and Sam showed us the local way how to open them. Amazing time!!!
