This was the first hotel we stayed in since the pandemic hit. It appeared to be very clean. There was a pool which you had to schedule time for, which was fine. However there were guests swimming in the pool with thong bathing suits on making videos in the pool which was exactly family friendly. It was a good price and a great location. If you want clean towels you have to ask for them because they only clean the room if you are staying more than 7 days. Pillows were awful. We had a handicap accessible room for some reason so we had a ton of space in the room.

We stayed right after Hurricane Isaias. Easy check in. Staff helpful. With Covid: no housekeeping. Breakfast was minimal. Coffee, juice, granola bars, muffins. Staff wearing mask. Many guests were also. In dining area groups gathered..no masks. Bathroom light was movement activated. Didn’t mind until going to bathroom at night...on comes bright light. Covered Over sensor with towel at night. Overall good stay.

This stay at this hotel was unbelievably disappointing. We planned for a weekend get away from home for my daughters birthday to allow her the opportunity to go swimming indoors. Unfortunately, two hours after our arrival we try entering the pool that we come across being closed. In the midst, of walking to the lobby for further information we walk into a lobby full of upset guest for the exact reason being the pool was closed. Some guest even mention calling before arriving to ensure the pool was available for their stay. The young man at the desk was very respectful and immediately jumped on a plan of action to involve someone higher up being his managers. As he contacted over the phone some guests waited for a verdict. Others like myself, immediately reached out to cooperate because this was unacceptable. I spoke with Marj from the Dallas cooperate office, who assisted me in getting a "resolution". During this call I was advised many things from being told I could leave, I am an adult and not being forced to stay, to go to the front desk to speak to the manager which I made it very clear that I was told there was no management on site. After a 30 minute phone call with Marj and no resolution- she did try to offer me other near by locations by unfortunately I did not want to spend additional money for a different location which I could've done in the first place if that was what I wanted to do, she offered points and advised she could only open a case and send an email and leave this up to the mangers discretion I found myself to be very disappointed in the service I was being provided. It was not until I hung up this call and the young man at the desk advised his manager made it clear she would NOT be coming to the property and she had sent someone out to check on the water of the pool, he also offered his managers phone number to speak to her directly that I found myself completely and utterly appalled at the type of management this company relies on. Lindsey the GM at this location immediately answered the phone in a defensive tone and was disrespectful and rude. As someone who is VERY familiar with customer service I can absolutely say she could use a class or two to help improve how she listens and communicates to guest that should be valued. She started off her statement by saying "first of all, you should not be yelling at my employee and it is our policy to not have management on site and we could leave if dissatisfied" Shocked at how I was being spoken to I did not know how to respond to this women besides making it very clear that she was unbelievably rude I had she been on site she would know that I absolutely was not yelling at the young man at the desk because he or she were not at fault that something went wrong with the pool. But, as a manager your mission should now be to help rectify the situation and make this experience a more positive one by doing absolutely everything you could not by accusing and dismissing me as a guest at your location. I have had many more positive experiences at other hotel companies even if something was wrong with amenities that I was expecting but they've have always valued me and made me WANT to return. My family will be sure to keep this experience in mind for any future stays we may plan. It is unfortunate.

Everyone working there is kind friendly and helpful. But the hallways smell like body odor in the rooms are just not clean. For over $140 a night I would expect the bathroom to be clean and tiles not to be falling off the wall. Very disappointing

My husband and I stayed here Friday of Columbus Day weekend and switched hotels for the remainder of the weekend.

The room we stayed in (100) was adequate - spacious with high ceilings. I don’t recommend this room to travelers because the heavy exit door, just outside our room, slammed shut multiple times in the night which kept me from getting a good night’s rest. It’s an exterior security door so I’m not sure there’s much that can be done except to avoid the rooms adjacent to it.

The room was mostly clean, but the areas above eye level were neglected. The top of the bathroom door and the upper parts of the bathroom walls badly needed dusting.

The bed...ugh...a slab of marble covered in linens. Boo! And it looked so inviting! Disappointed when my husband and I both woke up stiff and achy.

This hotel was comfortable for an overnight stay but the bathroom light was motion activated and would literally turn off every 5-10 seconds (no joking- we timed it) while you were not actively moving in front of it. This wasn’t a huge problem while brushing teeth but it was a major issue while in the shower. We had to have another person stand in the bathroom and keep moving in front of the sensor or else you would have to wave your hand out of the shower every few seconds. This may save a little electricity but the wasted water negates this savings.
I see that this was reported on a previous review so should have been corrected. In addition we had four wash clothes and hand towels but only two bath towels. We had to go to the front desk to request more.

Bathroom was barely functional. Toilet barely flushed and the sink didn’t drain. Industrial blower was in the room on check in and the room was set to 90 degrees. Clearly something was being cleaned. Front desk didn’t seem to care about the problems and nothing was done to fix them over the duration of my stay.

I was very displeased with the quality of service that I received while staying at this establishment. The staff were very rude. Hampton Inn’s motto is to provide a 100 percent happy customer guarantee and that was not provided to me. There were a lot of issues that I experienced from the start of my stay. I can name 6 different issues. This was not my first stay at this facility. I have stayed at this branch numerous times and had a great experience but this time, it was the worst experience I’ve ever had at any hotel. This hotel was my home away from home and since certain employees no longer work here and their positions have been filled, the service at this establishment is very bad. I experienced a tick issue, a television issue, an issue with not being able to utilize the dryer to dry clothes, an unnecessary and invalid complaint issue ( manager said himself that he stood at the door before knocking and stated that the noise coming from my room was reasonable and he doesn’t understand why the complaints were being made and this was caught on video), having my room
moved after 12 AM midnight inconveniencing my children and myself and the room accommodation not being suitable enough for the children and myself due to lack of space in the beds. In the morning I explained this in a calm manner to the manager, Christopher who instructed me to contact Lindsey who would be the General Manager on duty after 11 AM. I contacted Lindsey and was explaining my experience to her. While talking to the General Manager Lindsey, she stated, “hold on, let me cut you off right now”, and proceeded to talk telling me she knows all about what happen s and so forth. At first I allowed this until I realized that I am the customer and I deserved my side of the story to be heard without being interrupted especially since I was not being hostile or disrespectful. This woman started laughing at me like I was a clown at a circus. It was so disrespectful and inappropriate especially coming from a person that holds the type of title that she does. I then told her that I would like to speak to her superior in which she stated that she was the only one that I could speak with and that there is no one above her. She stated that she is the boss. I was then hung up on. I am aware that there are checks and balances and that she indeed does have someone ahead of her and I intend on finding out this information so that I can make a complaint about the service and work etiquette of the employees at this facility. This was the worst experience I’ve ever experienced in a hotel setting and it makes me want to never use my hard earned money for a stay in such a place.

I could have been provided with better service and better accommodations that are clearly are mottos of this particular business. I could have been listened to instead of being cut off and disrespected. I don’t feel like I am a valued customer or rewards member.

It was an overnight trip. The attendant seemed confused about our reservation which made check-in take way too long. Wet foot prints down the hall from the lobby to the elevator from people coming from the pool. Dirty rag on the floor in the elevator lobby of our floor. The room seemed old and worn. The mattress cover didn’t fit the bed which really made the room seem overlooked. There was staining in the shower and the sink was slow to drain. Those three things right there have a bad first impression. This room was way too expensive for what it was. Use some of that money to get a mattress cover that fits and paint the shower floor. That alone, would have given a better overall impression of cleanliness. For the price, ~$150, I would not recommend this hotel. The location next to the mall and restaurants was good.

Parking lot was well lit. If you are concerned, park near the front entrance that faces the st. I have stayed here many times with no incident.

There are however, fantastic boarding facilities in the area, who I'm sure allow you to take your dog in and out and make them very much a part of your trip to the area.
