The drawbacks are no free breakfast, difficult dinner reservations and poor TV choices. Location: In a residential area on Mesa College campus. Restaurant and coffee shop on site. Other locations require a short drive. Property: New. Just opened October 2020. Excellent landscaping. Steel and glass modern exterior. Wood and stone interior touches. Very nice lobby seating. Has outdoor hot tub, no pool. Has exercise room. No free breakfast. You get one cup of free coffee at the café. The restaurant has a very limited happy hour menu. The dinner menu and food quality are excellent, if you can get a reservation. They give as much free water as you want. A bottle of inexpensive champagne and fudge were in the room upon check-in. Room: Very nice. Clean. A bit small. Wooden desk chair. The cable company TV did not have any information shown. There were a fair number of channels, but no Ion, Lifetime, etc. Fewer than most places. No microwave. Staff: Young, friendly and helpful. Price: With all the taxes about $200 for a King. Exercise room: One each of standard equipment.

We recently enjoyed a girls weekend based out of Hotel Maverick. The service was really good and rooms nice. I would recommend that the hotel restart automatic housekeeping services as the Covid excuse sounds pretty lazy at this stage. We did request service and they cleaned the room well. Would stay here again!

We loved this property on the college campus. It had its one year anniversary while we were there and we received a bottle of champagne upon our arrival. The property’s architecture is modern and clean; really a pleasure to look at. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. We wish we could have taken advantage of the beautiful hot tub, but it was unbearably and unusually hot during our trip. The hotel is full of heritage photos of the college and its students. The halls in this building are unusually wide and it’s a lot of little touches like this that make the property outstanding. The bathrooms are subway tile and gorgeous with lots of toiletries. It is extremely dog friendly with wide open spaces, dog beds, elevated dog dishes and a dog friendly staff. The restaurant is on the fourth floor along with some of the beautiful rooms. We were negligent on making reservations, but found out the hard way and from our local friends that it’s actually hard to get into. The hotel is situated in a safe area and the views off the west side overlook the brand new campus (currently being completed) and the mountains. We loved our little balcony and would say it’s worth it. It was so nice not to stay in a chain motel with a bunch of miscellaneous charges when you check out. They use a text message system to communicate with you and it’s very convenient. We hope to return to the hotel soon!

We had never been to the Western Slope and came to explore and relax. Hotel Maverick was perfect for our trip. The location is convenient and close to downtown. It was very dog friendly - it’s literally on a college campus so there was a ton of huge grassy areas the pups loved. The coffee shop offered complimentary coffee for guests, and a tasty breakfast sandwich. The room was very modern and clean - the bed was super comfortable and I especially enjoyed the bright bathroom with a large shower. Very nice, fresh-feeling hotel. Would definitely recommend!

Our stay at Hotel Maverick was wonderful. Rooms were amazing, clean and bed was very comfortable. Small porch was very enjoyable after our fantastic dinner at the Devils Kitchen. Our meal was as good or better than any gourmet restaurant. And the wait staff went out of there way to take care of us.
