We stayed here for skiing at the Palisades over the MLK holiday weekend. The price was outrageous (our fault for booking late), and for that amount we should have received a lot more in terms of the quality of accommodation and amenities. The location is good, 20 minutes to the Palisades and right next to Kings Beach and 10 minutes or so from Tahoe City, where you can find restaurants and such. The room was clean and had a microwave and fridge, but kind of tight for 3 people. The walls are cinder block and the bathroom looked like something at a rest stop. There is no daily maid service nor service in the front office. I guess there's a number you can call if there was a problem. We thought there was a hot tub, but that was empty.

Stayed for 2 nights. Very clean, takes well behaved dogs. Front desk people are nice, but not very accomodating. Asked for late checkout in the middle of the week on Jan 2 when only 1/2 of the rooms were taken-was told only 1 hour extra because they were booked??? No cable tv, just local tv channels, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. House cleaning states every 3 days, but knocks on your door every morning at 9am! Then on day of check out when we were at breakfast at 8 am housekeeping came in while we had the do not disturb sign on and changed the towels! If you want privacy, go elsewhere. The hot tub, is just that, an old round plastic tub of hot water with bright lights blasting down...we passed.

Hi Nicole! Thank you for the feedback! During your stay with us, we were in a holiday period and were completely sold-out. We tried to accommodate as many early check-ins and late check-outs as possible, during our 2nd busiest time of the year. We are one of the few dog-friendly properties, and after each canine departure there is a deep cleaning and everything is laundered and handled on a more time-consuming level for the comfort of the next guest. We apologize for the inconvenience. Staff is on-site 24 hours a day for any needs that a guest may have, and requests are handled within moments, at any time of the day or night. We have discussed this review with our housekeeping staff, and we will aim to better ourselves and our property for future guests. Thank you Nicole!

Leah is a lifesaver! After forgetting my snowboard boots in the room Leah did me a HUGE favor by personally delivering them to the mountain I'll be at on an upcoming trip. So nice of her. I highly recommend Tahoe Vistana Inn.

We checked in and settled the children with the intention of checking out around 4:30-5am in order to avoid traffic when we left Tahoe. The front desk leaves at 8pm and said they could be contacted using the phone number in the room. The sheet on the bed had a blood stain on it. Around midnight the guests in the adjoining room came back to their room and stayed up talking until about 3am. The walls were so thin that we woke up and could hear every word of their conversation. At first we thought they were standing outside our room because it was so loud. We tried to call the "emergency" phone number but could not find it. It is not on any of the paperwork that is given to you at check in and we could not see it on the door. There was no phone in the room either. There were no roll away beds but they do have air mattresses for a $15 charge. The air mattress had a hole and completely deflated within 10 minutes of inflation. And the wifi did not work all. We tried on 4 different devices. Good location but there is no point to stay in a dirty room that you can get no sleep in with no assistance from the staff. There are so many hotel choices. Avoid this one!

Hello BH, Thank you so much for taking the time to submit a review of the Tahoe Vistana. We are sorry to hear that you had such a frustrating stay at the Inn. We do our best to ensure that our guests have a great visit in Tahoe and wish that you had brought your concerns to the staff. We do post after-hours contact information on the front door right next to the telephone and we would have been eager to fix the problems that you had with the airbed and the sheets…that is inexcusable! We’d love a chance to make this up to you. If you’d like to give us another try, we’re happy to comp a one night stay for you on your next visit.

I would rate this property a 3.5 for a few reasons. The pluses were Ashley at the front desk and the maid whose prompt & efficient service were excellent when my original room was not going to work for me. My Original Room was #140 which while newly renovated, it is directly below another larger room that was occupied by a family. The noise level from above was not conducive to the quiet, restful stay I anticipated. Also this particular room had no screens on the windows, only in the bathroom window. So getting fresh air without bugs would of been difficult. Ashley immediately moved me to # 131 which is further back on the property, and the peace & quiet were exactly what I needed. However this room was a Standard Room not the Deluxe King that I originally booked and paid for. It was not renovated, the TV did work but it was pretty old & small, and the mattress was older also. But it did have screens in all the windows which was great. My disappointment is in the inconsistencies of the particular rooms, certainly not in the customer service.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for sharing your detailed experience! You had been shown the second accommodation and approved of the room switch, which did not require an additional charge. Fortunately both room types were the same rate regardless of the variation in renovation. We continually strive to meet the needs of any of our guests, including yours, and we thank you for choosing the Tahoe Vistana Inn for your stay!

A cute little inn by the lake with nice new furnishings (especially shower and the bed). Great for the price

Just one star off for the hairball found in the shower and the splinter I got from the bed.

We had the room directly above the office. View of rooftops with smidgen of lake. Noise from road. Apartment was spacious and comfortable for 4-5 adults. Clean. That's the good part. View from kitchen is dumpster. Pool unavailable - under repair. No compensation for that. They said spa was open, but sign on the gate said do not enter if you have diarrhea. Ew. No. They advertise free rentals which comprise one single kayak, two SUP boards and 4 bikes. The office was frequently closed curtailing availability of any of it. We made the best of it, but wouldn't return.

I think the rooms are all different but our room did not have any sofas. We had a king in the main room and the bedroom had a full or queen on bottom bunk and twin on top
