Detailed Reviews
Perfect location, clean and remodeled room. We paid around $380 for two nights in June and thought it was a great room for the benefit of the location. It is a remodeled motel, and they did a nice job attending to decor and details.

This was the first time my wife and I stayed at this wonderful property. It is located right along the main drag in Tahoe City. We pulled into a parking lot with plenty of wide parking spaces and a very nice first impression of the inn. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The room we stayed in was a King Room and it was spacious. You can see the room has been recently renovated and it looks great! The bathroom is huge with a nice big shower and ample counter space in the tall sink area.
The bed was very comfortable and the room had great lighting, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a chest with drawers for your clothes. The whimsical nautical theme throughout the property and the room is tastefully done.
The property is within 5 minutes walking of Safeway and CVS in one direction and downtown Tahoe City in the other direction. We love this property and will look forward to coming back again.

I went and stayed in the flamingo room with the jetted tub and loved it! I would absolutely recommend if you're looking for a fun theme room with hot tub amenities. The square jetted tub in the room is large enough for 2-3 people and the have a separate half bath.
The staff was so friendly and offered Tahoe local products for the room including bath bombs and soaps.
There is a mini fridge, microwave, large TV and desk.

We stayed here years ago and with the newer owners as well as upgraded rooms, this stay was even better. Everyone is super friendly and made us feel welcome. The room was clean but it would have been helpful to have a chair or two so we could sit on something besides the bed. The bed was quite comfortable and we never heard any sounds from the highway or other rooms. No one is on duty in the evening so you need to have questions asked before then. I did appreciate receiving a call informing me that we could check in several hours ahead of time! The location is within easy walking distance of the lake, restaurants, shops and they provide bikes and paddle boards. We'll come again.

So friendly and accommodating, we appreciate your patience with us as we had to change to having pets with us to none. They were willing to refund the pet fee, which we used to go towards our trip. It was walking distance from all the shops, restaurants and lake. Unfortunately, we didn’t take advantage of the free shuttle but still thought it was great that they offered. We also loved how they were always available through text especially since we got in way later than originally expected. Thank you for the clean and safe room.

I emailed the motel before I wrote this review to give them a chance to address it first but they never responded. The door had only a single keyed lock. There was no deadbolt, no chain, or swing bar latch which means anyone with a key could have opened my door at anytime. As a single female traveling alone, this made me feel very unsafe so I had to move the dresser in front of the door to get some level of security. I always assumed that having a second locking mechanism was a legal requirement for motels/hotels but apparently not here.

My husband, our dog and I spent two separate nights at The Inn at Boatworks last week. We were thru hiking a portion of the Tahoe Rim Trail, we stayed here the night before we started hiking and the night we got back into town. The beds were comfortable, rooms clean, showers very hot (we had a partial lake view from the window in one of the room showers which was pretty!), TV worked with good channel options, very close walk to multiple dining options, and one block off the marina pathway to take a lake side walk. Our ride to the trail head was able to find the hotel location to pick us up without issue, hotel is located on the Main Street. Becky from housekeeping and the manager Yvette were very accommodating and friendly during both of our stays. We will definitely stay here again, with or without our kids, loved that it was dog friendly because our lab is part of the family and see this as a good year-round hotel option for Tahoe City! Thank you again :)

The staff here are so friendly and accommodating, quite refreshing to receive such hospitable service. I had an emergency come up and needed to stay an extra night in Tahoe, the nice lady at the front desk was able to get me in early which meant the world to me in that moment. A few days later I noticed a slight discrepancy in what I was charged, they were so apologetic and made to sure to handle it asap. Aside from the wonderful service, the location is right where you want to be. Just a few steps from the lake, beautiful trail along the beach/park, and all the fun restaurants and shops. This is not the fanciest of hotels, but its exactly what you need to enjoy Tahoe. Will definitely return!

This was probably a $150/night place 2 years ago, and now they're charging $422/night for a shabby room with no amenities. Neither TV worked, and they couldn't fix them. No ice or vending machines, The furniture looks like thrift-shop junk. No closet, just a clothes rack that hindered access to the bed. We will never stay at this dump again.

Nice room. We were late getting to the Motel (reception shuts at 8 ) but they left a key in a combination lock so we could get in. We only stayed the one night and due to jet lag left early in the morning but we slept well. Hotel is right on the lake side
