Driving up to NorCal for thanksgiving was horrible with traffic on I-5 so I decided to stop in Stockton at midnight and get a hotel room.

You are given a variety of room rates depending what server you book through, but the hotel adds on a "resort fee" of $20 per day that is supposedly to cover amenities at the hotel (pool, use of pool or ping pong tables, workout room)- all things that are normally covered when you are staying at a decent hotel or lodging facility. I've paid "resort" types of fees before- but never at a hotel in Stockton- an exaggeration of their own property amenities definitely.
