The location of the Hotel Indigo really can't be beat. Almost across the street from the Funk Zone and winery tasting rooms, next to the train station, and a short walk to the harbor, beach, and main streets of Santa Barbara. Our room was on the first floor and was very clean.

Hi 14255, Thank you for leaving us your review and for making us a part your visit here in Santa Barbara. We are grateful that you've chosen the Hotel Indigo to host you. As always, we wanted nothing more but to ensure your experience turn as positive as possible. Though I appreciate that you like the atmosphere when you walked in, I'm sorry that it faded when you entered the room. I regard your thoughts about the room and bathroom space, amenities, food options, the luggage elevator, and parking. I understand this left you feeling not getting the most of what you paid for, 14255. I'm sorry that this stay didn't go as perfectly as planned. Don't worry, I took the necessary steps to ensure our management gets to read your post and be discussed amongst all concerned staff. We are always on the lookout for ways to make your experience memorable. Reviews such as this goes a long way in identifying areas where we can improve. We may not have gotten off the right foot but I'm positive to make it better for your next stay. Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay with us. Best regards, Frank A. This boutique hotel is situated a couple of blocks from Stearn Wharf and next door to the Moxie Kids museum. Easy walking distance to old town State Street as well. The rooms are very small. We were told that all rooms only had a king size bed, but when my son pushed, the hotel

The room was fairly small. We didn’t really know where to put our bags! Our clothes hung above the coffee maker. The walls seemed paper thin as we heard conversations from the hallway and outside. There were also a number of trains. Valet parking was pricey as well as $48/night.

Dear valued guest, I'm sorry to hear that some aspects of our hotel did not meet your expectations! While our European styled micro-guestrooms and close proximity to the Amtrak station may not be suitable for everyone, we do our absolute best to mitigate the surrounding noise as well as design our rooms for maximum space and comfort. Although valet parking can be a little expensive, our location next to Stearns Wharf and in the Funk Zone determines our price; however, we have recently launched a new "car-free" deal which entitles customers checking in without a car to: breakfast and drinks for two at next-door Santo Mezcal! Again, we apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced and we will strive to better your experience should you choose to stay with us again. We wish you the best!

You would need to do that yourself. The hotel is next to the Santa Barbara Amtrak Train Station. You might google Santa Barbara Airport shuttles and there is a list of taxi and shuttle companies phone numbers.

do they have free parking?
There was not free parking, however, right behind the hotel is a street that has some free street parking. We found a spot without a problem, and didn't move the car for three days.

How Much is Parking per night?
Hello Laurenoflondon, The parking fee is $20 per night per vehicle. We allow our guests to park early if arriving before check in time, and guests can also park in to the afternoon following our 11am check out time. Our direct website does offer a nightly parking package rate as well. Please let me know if you have any questions about this. We look forward to welcoming you to the hotel!
