The place is stunning! Outdoor bath and the cottage was wonderful! Wendy in the gift shop made my day and took great care of me! What a sweet heart!! I’ll be back for sure! !!!! Thank you for making my stay so relaxing and enjoyable!
We have stayed at this property 6 times over the last 10 years - it was our favorite resort in Napa - but sadly this will be the last. The property itself is fabulous with cute individual cottages that are well appointed and great outdoor space. Pool, spa, fitness amenities are all great. So what is the problem? One word Service and attitude. Almost nothing is open during the week. No pool service for drinks or lunch except if you stay on the weekend. Are you kidding me for $2000 a night you can’t have 1 person manning the beautiful signature pool area during the day. No towel service, nothing. The Farm and the signature patio area bar closed Monday and Tuesday’s . While at the pool you had multiple guests complaining with each other about the lack of service for a resort that charges these prices. just stayed at the Montage in Healdsburg for 3 nights and it was spectacular including service. Management doesn’t even feign interest and says “well service is tough during Covid”??? Maybe they should study competing properties like Auberge and Montage and see how they are managing. I really hope this gets tuned around as it is unacceptable for a property charging the prices that they do.…
If not a parent of young kids keep scrolling. Otherwise, TL;DR: not worth the money particularly with so many new beautiful resorts opening up in the area. Pros - Beautiful grounds Nicely appointed cottages They accommodated an early check-in Easy to get to from SF Cons - Sub-par service Examples: - I called day prior to confirm crib. Upon check in, crib wasn’t set up. I immediately called, and it required persistent calls for next 2 hours before a crib was delivered. At this point my kid is an hour past nap and a complete nightmare - front desk could not provide a Wi-Fi password to connect my baby monitor. I have the Nanit, a very popular model, which requires a Wi-Fi password and I asked for it at check-in and it took till 745pm to get. We were hoping to pop out for a nightcap after bedtime and that was thwarted because we couldn’t leave - to add insult to injury, the blinds didn’t close all the way!! So we were up at 545am. Pic attached -manager called and said they’d do something nice for us at dinner on property, but nothing was offered With a few small tweaks we would have had a lovely stay. But the lack of attention to detail made this a total bummer of a time. We’ve stayed at a number of properties in the area (montage, solage, auberge, meadowood, MacArthur place) and think those much better stay.…
I came with a group of 13 to stay at Carneros to celebrate my birthday. From the start of planning months before until we left was nothing short of perfect. The concierge emailed and spoke with me to help develop a wonderful itinerary including tastings, wine tours, golf, dinners, cooking class and Art tour at the nearby Di Rosa art center which was fabulous. Before my arrival, a liaison was personally assigned to our group for the weekend. Nina made sure the weekend ran smoothly - she had wine and cheese waiting for all guests on arrival, confirmed all of our activities so I didn’t have to think about it, when we needed early breakfast one day she had it waiting in to go containers for our golfers, and was available all weekend by text whenever I had a question or request. The staff was terrific and attentive, the rooms cozy and sophisticated and the resort itself is so beautifully manicured, we all meandered the grounds each morning. I cannot thank the staff at Carneros enough.…
This resort is a truly special place. Everything is perfect: the private cottages, the beautiful views, the pools, the three great restaurants and most of all- the wonderful staff. The moment you check in you are welcomed warmly and you can immediately relax in this 5 star resort.
Go see Wendy at Coop at the Carneros Inn. She is amazing and the clothes are wonderful. Best service, best merchandise, fun conversation. We totally enjoyed our ti.e there. When visiting Carneros, Coop and Wendy are a MUST!
Carneros spoiled us from the moment we arrived. Our cottage was perfect and had wonderful private outdoor space. We tried the 3 restaurants and had excellent experiences at all of them. There is an overall focus on customer service from housekeeping to the concierge to the restaurants. We will definitely be back!
My husband and I were hesitant to book this resort because of the location and where we had scheduled tastings, but we were so glad we did after our recent visit! There was a wait at check-in but Soo was kind enough to step-in and help the front desk and give us the lay of the land. We are so grateful to have met her, she went above and beyond during our trip to make sure we had an enjoyable time and I am sure our experience would have been much different if it wasn't for her. She was kind, gave us the locals perspective of wine country and made us truly feel at home. While Carneros is a beautiful place, people like Soo make it even that more special! And for those worried about location - you can get to great tasting rooms in less than 20 minutes if you plan accordingly and the distance never became an issue for us. The cottage was cute, loved the outdoor amenities and look forward to returning!…
Carneros was absolutely magnificent. Amazing food and access to on site restaurants. Amazing and quaint cottages organized into little villages. Privacy and elegance all around. Friendly staff and access to a bell person to travel within 5 miles. Wonderful stay and definitely would recommend.
I never thought I would have to leave a negative review of my wedding venue. The property is beautiful and we had a wonderful day. But five weeks after our wedding, the front desk charged our credit card nearly $10,000. We only gave the front desk our credit card for incidentals when we checked in as hotel guests because we had already paid the estimated cost of our wedding. After charging us, Carneros provided a bill with a room rate three times greater than the rate agreed to in our contract and an alcohol bill that averaged 11 drinks per guest, which we know is incorrect. Carneros has been unwilling to honor the contracted-for room rate or provide support for that inconceivable level of consumption. We have been trying to resolve this with management for four months, and the GM has been unresponsive. We are beyond surprised that this has been our experience after hosting our wedding at Carneros, and we doubt this is an isolated incident. We don’t want anyone else to go through this!…
