The Good: beautiful grounds, lots of options for food, pool was nice and relaxed ambiance, complimentary Prosecco The Bad: the entire service. No one picked up when we called front desk, bell hop, concierge (happened multiple times over 1 day). I got ahold of someone to ask for refill of nespresso coffee pods and waters - it took over 45 mins to send some up and they didn't bring the waters. Asked for assistance w luggage as we had brought a pack n play for our 1 year old (plus all her baby things) - took two reminder phone calls and over 30 mins to send someone up (great when you have a hungry toddler!). Nespresso Coffee in lobby didn't work and larger coffee pot wasn't filled up. Just overall frustrating experience - my feedback would be to the hotel manager to better train the staff. For sure won't be back to this hotel. Rather save $300 and go to a Marriott where I may get better service If you are the type of hotel guest who wants to order room service, need assistance regarding anything room related or questions on hotel, or expects warm customer service - do yourself a favor and pick another hotel. This is not the place for you. I think this place would be fine for someone with low customer service standards tho since grounds itself are nice…
Vista Collina is a resort-within-a-resort (the Meritage). Walk among the vines, and be sure to see the grape crusher sculpture. Dinner at Olive and Hay restaurant was excellent. A shout-out to Wael for his great customer service.
The grounds and room were really great. They brought complementary charcuterie and Prosecco to our room. The view of the vineyards was nice. But they don’t deserve 4 or 5 stars. They were clearly understaffed, and many of the people who were working there were young and inexperienced. Many times we called the front desk and valet for certain requests in the middle of the day and no one picked up. Other times when they did pick up, they took 30 minutes or more to respond to our room. There was no soap in the bathroom. There was no coffee in the front lobby. The lack of service discourages me from coming here again. Sorry for the negative, but honest, review.
Exceptional facilities- rooms top notch, amenities including pool and cabanas awesome!! YANNI at our Cabana was a true example of what service and smile can do for a 5 star experience!! Thank you to Yanni!!! Thanks for a wonderful wine country girls weekend!! Location was perfect!!!
I visited Mercer at the Meritage and had a relaxation massage. He was so kind and relaxing just to talk to. My treatment with him was so good, it’s like he managed to relax parts of my shouldesr and even knee cap I didn’t even know were tense! He is also very respectful and makes sure that you never become uncomfortable. As a woman, this is very important to me. His after massage speech is the icing on the cake!….if you’ve booked with him; you know what I’m talking about.
Mercer has been giving me and my daughter massages for over 3 years. He is excellent with his hands, applying just the right amount of pressure. He is knowledgeable about the body's functions, pressure points, etc. If you want the best massage you've ever had.. just book with Mercer!
Visit the Spa Terra and see Mercer and Cindy! Mercer is the most incredible massage therapist and Cindy is a fabulous esthetician. They both book up early, so be sure to call and reserve your spot with them. I actually travel 5.5 hours to go to this spa, just to see them!
Ciaran Fee was the coolest dude ever!! So thankful for his service . He truly made this already unforgettable day, that much better. Came for a bridal shower party, left feeling wonderful. Thank you Ciaran!!!! Wish I was rich so I could come back(:
I wanted to share my real life experience at Vista Collina a Meritage resort property. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. We were greeted with champagne and smiles. "Wael" the Customer Relations Mgr. Was there to welcome and introduce us to areas of interest on the property! He was awesome and you should absolutely seek him out if you want a spectacular experience. In the pics you will see the suite we stayed in and the new French Bistro we ate at and the wine we enjoyed all on the property. We considered leaving the property to go into downtown but opted to stay on the property in a cabana after seeing Wael and taking his advice. Wife was with out bathing suit so she went to on property shopping market in search of a bathing suit and could not find one. She came back empty handed and told Diana our Cabana server. Diana immediately offered to escort her to the back room of the same shopping store she had just visited (VIP) area.... she found a beautiful suit, hat and beach cover up. And this made her to feel like a real princess! Thank you Diana you really came through and made her Very,Very, Very Happy! This is my 1st trip advisor review I hope you all enjoy the the incredible service this hotel can offer you. RG of Saratoga Ca.…
