The staff, esp Carrie, were awesome and very friendly. The location was fantastic, walking distance to lake and shopping, close to Heavenly lifts. Game room was small and limited scheduled activities, but they did have nice billiard and ping pong tables. No pool in winter, but had nice outdoor hot tub. Small gym but had nice amenities. Have to pay for Wifi if you are not an owner, but speed was decent. There were no mid-week housekeeping, but they did give us more items upon request. We did have to go to the front to pick up one time bc we had to wait awhile for housekeeping. We had a remodeled ADA unit that had some issues. Staff tried to fix them, but only one of the items got fixed while we were there unfortunately. Everything was lowered and modified in the ADA unit, which is great for ADA clients. But since we were not needing an ADA unit but was assigned there, things could have been less comfortable if we were a taller family.

We reserved a 3 bedroom for our trip and arrived at 1 pm. The clerk was nice and told us our room was not ready but we could use the pool! Great it was hot and the kids were happy after driving 7 hours. We were called less than an hour later about our room. We then had issues right away with our room keys… they didn’t work then a maintenance guy came to tell us we had to walk to the front to replace them. We were allowed to start unpacking and went back to the pool. We returned at 7pm to find the fridge not cold. Our perishables were not cold. We call the maintenance again and he tells us we put too much in the fridge? Then he tells me I should have googled it and I would have found out that a fridge will not work if you put too much food in there too fast… very rude and snarky. I just agreed and thanked him out. After that, the keys stopped working again the next day. The front desk girl didn’t seem to care that this was our second issue with our key. Customer service here is not very good here. I’ve been an owner of Wyndham timeshare for 13 years and this one is the worse with customer service. It’s in the nicest area but service is not good. The room was HOT! No AC! The view from our porch was the beautiful forest! I guess that made up for everything else. And the location is across from Zephyr Cove! We had a great time there. Oh and if you need ice you need to ask the front desk.

Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The location was very convenient to Heavenly, as well as the casinos, shopping, and many many restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and seemed truly interested in making our stay a wonderful experience.
But, the cable TV was not working. There was some TV stations, but not guide. No way of knowing what would be on or when. If you are not spending much time in your room, this would not be a problem, but not all of us were skiing , so watching TV was more important to us than it might be to others.

Power went out Monday. When we checked out Friday, the cable was still out and there was very spotty wifi, mostly not available. The folks at the resort didn't seem to find this bothersome at all. The usual "we have no control over these things" approach. Also know that there's only one parking space permitted. Guests park off site, on a road that is pitch black with "no parking" signs everywhere. Needless to say, we won't be back.

I would give zero stars to this dump if I could. The front desk staff is unfriendly and completely unhelpful; the manager on duty clearly didn’t want to be there and wouldn’t even look at me when speaking. If you book a 3-bedroom suite, you only get one parking spot on-property and are given a “parking pass” for your second car, which you are supposed to use to park across the street, on the side of the road (not even a parking lot), in a tow away zone. When I pointed out that the guest parking was simply street parking in a tow away zone (when it’s snowing), I was told to “figure it out.” And to make matters worse, the on-property parking lot was less than half full (this was during shoulder season). Stay away from this place.

Even though we only had two people we had a three bed/two bath. Full kitchen, private balcony, washer/dryer. Very well equipped with everything you need. Suite was very clean and Resort Staff very friendly and professional. Grocery store right across the street with restaurants and shop within a couple of miles. Lake Tahoe is beautiful anytime of the year. We had a great time, hiking, watching sunrise/sunsets and just seeing the fall foliage. San Francisco being only about 3 1/2 hours away makes a great day trip.

We absolutely loved our stay at South Shore! We had a top floor corner unit which was great because It had vaulted ceilings, making it feel more spacious. It was close to the elevator, which was convenient. It was in building 12 right next to the covered hot tub. And it was a corner unit, so we could be loud without disturbing other guests. The snow made everything gorgeous and we had a so much fun playing ping pong in the clubhouse. All in all, it was just a fabulous vacation!

Very well located at a wonderful area near South Lake Tahoe. A large number of natural attractions nearby. A rented car is absolutely necessary. Emerald Bay, Kings Beach and other attractive places all over the Lake wait for you. Totally recommend.

The carpet and floors of bathroom and kitchen are filthy. I mean black feet filthy. The sofa has stains. The balcony has dried ketchup. Only thing worse is the Italian restaurant nearby. Positive is the people. V friendly. The people who stay here. Staff don’t interact. GROSS. don’t buy in.

Our family (my wife and I, our two kids and spouse, and three grandkids) had a very nice four night stay. The location is great - just far enough from the crowds of Stateline but convenient to a supermarket and restaurants. The three bedroom, 2 bath unit was spacious, clean, and well appointed, and the grounds were very well cared for.

There is a beach about 1.5 miles on the street outside resort - you can walk -there is a nice wooded path but sort of far if you have chairs, etc. some parking down at end near beach if you get there early- and no cannot walk to heavenly- but we took an Uber for $6 - only about 3 miles away to heavenly area
No there isn't. I just called them to ask this question. Either your own car is needed, or a $10 cab ride (inc Tip) to the Gondola/Casinos.
Wyndham has a service animal policy.They have become very
strict.They will ask you to provide proof.If you cannot provide documentation they will ask you to leave
