We were able to be squeezed in for a fabulous dinner at the steakhouse with the assistance of a WONDERFUL NorCal friend at the rooftop bar. Cocktails and food were fantastic! Made for a great visit. Thank you!

Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants
in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.

It is the best lounge I have been to of any hotel in the USA. Wine and spirits were of high quality as was the food. The room is spacious and was never over crowded. The view is really wonderful too. Breakfast was good, afternoon tea great and drinks and canapés really good. Service was relaxed and polished. It is well worth the extra cost of the Club Room.

I would personally consider it a 5 star hotel. I dont know of a worldwide authority that is accepted to rate hotels by stars, and every website rates hotels slightly differently. The people's rating on TripAdvisor is my favorite method of measuring a hotel in terms of quality and for this hotel I think 4.5 is minimum, 5 star is fair.
