INsingizi lodge and Spa is situated an hour from Durban and 35min from Pietermaritzburg in the rolling hills of Kwa Zulu Natal. The Lodge is surrounded by sugar cane fields and is set in a small game reserve which has numerous antelope species as well as zebra and wildebeest. Our Spa is relaxed and welcoming and is enjoyed by not only regular spa visitors but also first time spa goers who enjoy the non-pretentious atmosphere. INsingizi celebrates the seasons and our menus use local and seasonal produce where ever possible. Our wedding celebration started the night before our wedding day. Our family stayed at iNsingizi's self-catering Stirling Guest House where we were expertly hosted. The remainder of our three-day stay was spent at the breathtaking, fully-catered, iNsingizi Lodge. From the offset, the planning of our wedding was a breeze thanks to the wonderful Nadia who willingly tended to our every need. The team's careful attention to detail shone through the seamless flow of the day's events. From the food and the animal encounters to the surreal views, every aspect of our stay at iNsingizi was magical. We cannot thank you enough for going the extra mile to ensure that each and every one of our guests felt so well taken care of. We are honoured to have begun our married life in this little piece of paradise ♡

We were attending a wedding in the area, and thought to make a weekend of rest and relaxation! We chose the perfect getaway at iNsingizi Lodge. We booked the mini pamper package which included a treatment and lunch. We were treated like royalty and really soaked up the serine surroundings and were blown away by the friendliness and professionalism we experienced. iNsingizi also put on a great spread for the international rugby match that afternoon, and all the guests got together in the lounge to support our Springboks. The food was exceptional at every meal and so was the service. We stayed in the treehouse, which was the perfect room to enjoy the view and have couples time.

iNsingizi Lodge and Spa is well situated for either a day trip or weekend away for those residing in the greater Durban or Pietermaritzburg areas. iNsingizi is well known for its mountain biking trails but offers the opportunity for Trail Runners and walkers to undertake some of the routes ranging in distance from 5 to 50 kilometers. iNsingizi is also well known as an excellent birding destination with a birdlist in the region of some 200 species. We were there during Winter and were able to clock up close to 30 species in less than 2 hours in and around the Lodge. It is also important not to forget the fabulous Spa treatments that are on offer by the friendly and experienced masseurs.

We had 6 nights at the lodge, the staff were incredible! Nothing was too difficult including catering for vegans and nut allergies. The food was great with several options, comfortable rooms, walks and bike trails with zebra and buck nearby. Small nature reserve and lodge.

After a couple of bad weeks we went for an overnight at iNsingizi. So glad we did. Just over an hour from Hillcrest but out in the country. The only sounds were the birds (and the generator for a while -thanks Eskom). The room was comfortable, clean and welcoming and had an amazing view over trees. Am amazing place to recharge. The most memorable for me was the helpful and friendly staff. All of those I met on our short stay couldn't do enough. In particular, Nadia was amazing. Lastly, the food was great. Not Michelin star but I didn't pay for that. But better than wholesome farm food. Thanks for an amazing stay. Next time it will be longer

We had our wedding here end of March 2024 and it was spectacular! We had booked out the whole lodge for our guests and the service was super. Friendly and attentive staff, great communication before and during our stay. Rooms had everything we needed. The food for all meals was absolutely delicious and the spa is worth a visit all on its own!

A warm welcome on arrival, very helpful and friendly staff, quiet and tranquil setting and good value for money.
The rooms are neat and well equipped and the location of the chalets is perfect. The manageress and front of our staff were excellent.

The views are endless. The architecture is magnificent. The drive to the lodge was truly amazing. We had the entire resort all to ourselves. The hostess made everything so perfect. You have to go there to understanding how unique this place is.
