This review is specific to Nickelodeon Resort and their Concierge Rep Ana Feliz. This resort has predatory, devious, and misleading hidden fees, and they completely rob hard working people of their money. 5 days prior to arriving to the resort we were emailed by Ana. She introduced herself and gave us a telephone number to use in case we needed to contact her, which didn’t work. You call the number; they transfer you to who they say is a manager/supervisor and the call ends up going to voicemail. You cannot leave a voice message because the mailbox is full. When booking this resort my sister and I were notified that since we were celebrating our children’s birthdays the resort would provide birthday celebration decorations. 5 days prior to our trip we find out that the birthday decorations for the room were in fact not included and that we will have to pay an additional extravagant amount for birthday decorations. We were also advised by Ms. Ana that we can participate in resort events such as dining with the characters and a private slime event. She provided us with flyers for different events which had one price and, in her email, told us that it would be a higher price which was $120 difference. When I questioned her about the discrepancy with the flyer and her email, she tried to brush it under the rug by reiterating what her fees were and by telling us that it was not their flyer, although it clearly was their flyer. We also found out after payments were rendered that Covid tests were done at the resort, but they charge fees anywhere from $40-$80 (including children) per person to get a Covid test. When the day arrived that we were supposed to finally take our trip we encountered an issue with our flight at the airport. When we paid for our stay at Nickelodeon Resort, we paid for a Flex pass which allowed us change reservations in the case that we had any emergencies. We paid $69 for said flex pass only to find out the day of that it was not worth the money because the resort does not Reimburse, change dates, or refund your money. We were faced with the unfortunate event that our Flight was changed and eventually cancelled. I immediately contacted Ana via WhatsApp and asked for her assistance. I advised her that my sister and I were both military personnel and were taking our children to their resort for a birthday vacation and pleaded for her help. I called Karisma and advised them the same. Karisma Booking Reps kept referring me to call the actual resort and I would call the resort and they would direct me to call Karisma. I spoke with 4 Different Karisma representatives which could apparently do nothing for me, and I later came to find out that we lost our money for the resort stay. the $69 flex pass they provide is only good between 30 up to 3 days before the trip. It does not cover emergencies the day of, or flight cancelations. They keep your money, they don’t refund you,…
Not sure what so many reviewers find wrong with this resort, for us everything was top notch. Well at least everything the resort can control. Sure the rooms and the pool area are a little tired. But it’s been 2 years of COVID with no tourism so I can’t blame the resort for saving on maintenance. The service was great. No hustling, no tardiness, genuine service and appreciation of the earned tips. No complaints. Food was good too. We were not big fans of dinner buffet, but every al a carte was very tasty, fast and friendly service. We got hustled to buy a bottle of wine at Italian restaurant, but ultimately wrote it off on misunderstanding, as I refuse to ruin an evening over this. Kids had a blast. Waterpark was fun for. Couple of days. We used both nicks club, which is free and the baby club, which we paid for, for our younger child. Both were great, clean and very accommodating. We loved the beach. Yes it’s rougher waves than the beach next to it, but to us it was only more fun. Our kids are 6 and 3 and enjoyed jumping waves every day. We also loved that the beach is basically private. We also loved that they took many recommendations from the reviewers here. No sign of time share hustle. Pool cabana were free and available. Characters were seen many times throughout the day, especially if it’s your thing and you use an app. Heck I’m was fast and painless and maid service was the best out of any hotel I can think of. If you are looking for a great family vacation and can overlook a few cracked tiles and chipped paint here and there, this place is fantastic and everyone was super lovely to us.…
Great family vacation, wonderful friendly people great food and entertainment. If u have kids or grandkids this is the place to go. This resort was clean and beautiful and everyone went out of their way to make your experience the best it could possibly be. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. We are already talking about going back.
The food was terrible and I am not even a snobby eater. The buffet had the same exact food every night. Most of the other restaurants are open only 2 or 3x per week so choices are very limited besides the buffet. They use misleading and pressure sales tactics to get you to sign up for their Karisma Travelers Club. Our concierge was nice, but almost right away she wanted to discuss other Karisma resorts. I told her that we were not interested in time shares or travel club, but she told us that she only wanted to show us Karisma resorts to consider for the future. She said the meeting would take an hour and we would receive a free $350 credit at the spa. This turned into a 3 hour pressure sales pitch to join their overpriced and shady Karisma Travelers club. Later in the week, my wife went to use the $350 credit and the spa rep said it was not included in the coupon discount so she had to pay full price. This was after the concierge scheduled it for her and said is was included free with the coupon. I was expecting more activities, entertainment, and characters appearances for the kids. The evening entertainment was horrible. They inflated the same little bouncy house every night and had a few employees (not even in costumes, but wearing their same resort work uniforms) get on stage and do dance routines. The first night we left after 20 min and went back to the room cause there was nothing else to do. There are much better resorts in Punta Cana. We would NEVER stay here again. …
Unbelievable, amazing, beautiful, relaxing, unparalleled service. I can’t say enough about the time we had here at this resort. The people were amazing and so sweet. Everything was absolutely perfect. Ryan, the beach butler is the best!! He made sure we were happy at all times while at the beach. He is the jewel at this resort. Orlando, a bartender, also another diamond at this resort. Every day we were blow away at the incredible food, service, and staff at this resort.
Overall, Nickelodeon was a fantastic experience. We travelled with our 4 year old and 11 month old. We stayed in a swim up suite which was a plus for our 4 year old while the little one napped. The restaurants were great and the events in the gourmet village were awesome for the kids. The character breakfast is a must as well…very fun for the kids (even if our little one was a bit scared lol). The water park was clean and so much fun! Orlando by the beach was a bright spot! Very attentive and the best bartender we’ve had at any resort we’ve ever stayed. Our drinks were always full when we were at the beach and he even brought us over lunch! The man deserves a raise! Thanks, Orlando and the rest of the Nickelodeon staff!
I checked out this resort today 6/21/2022. Here’s my full break down of this resort. It’s just Ok nothing major to brag on it’s very over priced and they charge more money for everything which I didn’t see one review on this. Slime extra charge $50 no picture included. Character Breakfast extra charge $59 per adult and $49 per kids and so much more other things you have to pay for that should be included. You must download the Karisma app so you can follow the day and see what’s going on to even know where to be to see the few characters. My kids wanted to see SpongeBob and that never happened he wasn’t even on the list as a pop up character in which he should always be around. The only good restaurant is the Burger place. Spacewalker is not good and the only place you need to make reservations. Do yourself and kids a favor and go next door. The water park gets boring real fast and we paid for a cabana to have a nice place to sit $75 which is not the problem it’s the butler service that comes with it. Takes forever to bring you food and drinks. I totally understand we not the only ones being waited on but an hour to get a drink. We just walked over and got our own. Last but not least everyone we ran into complained about the amount of money they spent and was not happy with the resort. One family reservation was messed up. One family wedding ring was stolen from the room and another family said a guy walked in her room and stood over her kids while they was asleep. Now that took the cake. We heard her telling the front desk this as we was in line to check out. I talk with her shortly and she explained everything to me. I told her to write a review asap. I’m not trying to turn anyone away from booking here because your kids will have a good time but it’s underline stuff that need to be said in these reviews. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is great but this resort needs to do better especially for the price. I’m a travel agent and this is a honest review of this resort and if my clients want to book her this is what I will tell them and let them make the final decision.…
Amazing experience! Highly recommend. We went for my daughter’s 6th birthday, & everything was perfect. The food & entertainment were great. All of the staff were super friendly. Tons of activities for both children & adults.
Our experience was amazing!! From the beginning at check in everyone treated us very well, offered us drinks, a ride to our room. Our main assistant was Alexander. He was very helpful gave us tips and told us where the best spots were. The food was great! Everything was fresh and the hosts were always attentive. We truly had a great time!
My granddaughter turn 7 and celebrated her birthday..What a great experience we had...the staff and everyone we got in contact with was friendly and professional.. The rooms are exactly what you seen on the website...The food was delicious and lots to choose from...I was not impressed with the space restaurant.. But my overall experience was great..Money well spent.. I highly recommend this resort
