Bartlett Lodge is a gem for all reasons one can think of: location, design, comfort, food, and most of all - kind, generous staff! Generous with great service, warm smiles, and abundance of knowledge on the place, the history, the lakes, the people, and of course - Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven. But one doesn't have to be an art lover to enjoy and appreciate a stay in Bartlett Lodge. The place is simply a perfect spot to swim, eat, hike, canoe, and ... become a fan of Tom Thomson and his story, as much as the art of the entire Group of Seven. The place has a charm, has a character, and offers unparalleled opportunity to forget about the city life, just focus on enjoying the nature and the art.
We have made it a family tradition for our stay at Bartlett Lodge over the Thanksgiving weekend.... a fabulous place to experience quiet, solitude, view of the lake, sunrises and sunsets.... and certainly access to all the great hikes that Algonquin Park offers... easy access by car to Cache Lake with a water taxi to take you to and from the lodge.... perhaps the best attraction for us was the quality of the meals - literally 5 star all the way....and Marilyn’s desserts alone are worth the visit... Thanks Mark and Malcom for chauffeiring us back and forth .... thanks to the girls in the dining room who were so very responsive to all our needs....and thanks to David for super communications and arranging our extended stay.... easy to book online or by phone...we will be back next again! I am lucky enough to have recently stayed at The Bartlett Lodge for a second time. This stay was extra special as it was a retirement gift from the friends I worked with for 17 years. Such a personal gift that meant so much. The waterfront cabin was perfect and I really enjoyed the private screened porch overlooking Cache Lake. Dining at the Lodge is always a real treat and we were not disappointed. From our water taxi driver to the office staff and wonderful wait staff during our meals we cannot say enough about the attention to detail and absolutely great service! Northern Lake is a lovely cabin. The experience is simply amazing and don't forget to hike Moose Trail. I am now officially retired and loving every day. Cheers...
My husband and I just got back from a wonderful three night stay over this Thanksgiving weekend. We had an amazing time ! We stayed in Black Spruce and loved the unique cabin which has a little set of stairs which leads to the bedroom and bathroom so it was really nice having a separate sitting area to lounge in. The cabin also has a fantastic covered and screened in porch was was perfect for the rainy days we had. They have so many water toys to use and kayaking on Cache lake while viewing the fall colours was magical. We loved the cozy guest lounge, the fire by the main dock, the beautiful grounds and the best part was the FOOD. It's incredible.....every bite is tasty. Lastly, let me mention that they take Covid19 seriously and strictly follow all protocols which we very much appreciated. We love spending time in Algonquin Park and connecting with nature so we will definitely be coming back to Bartlett Lodge.…
Our first visit. Quaint, rustic, super friendly; EXCELLENT food - WOW! And the place to relax. Central to park; hiking trails, history, views and so much more. We loved the setting and were so tempted to do nothing and read, but Algonquin called, too. We'll so very definitely be back, but next times for longer stretches! What a find. Wouldn't change a thing. G & W Potts Ontario
