Cons:

Our room was dirty and we had to ask the cleaner to go over things. There were muddy footprints on the floor, our shower wasnt clean and there were smudges all over the mirrors and windows .
The walls also needed cleaning

At dinner I found a hair in my food which ultimately put me off eating it.
My pillow was not only uncomfortable but stunk of cigarettes and the duvet cover was damp due to the AC.
My cutlery was dirty both at lunch, breakfast and dinner. I had to get new cutlery each time because I had old food stuck to mine.

The waiters are all very sweet and lovely but they are sloppy. They don’t bother changing the placemats at all so they’re all filthy. Once someone has eaten - it doesn’t matter if they’re crumbs or smudges of food on them, they just get new cutlery and place it over the dirty mats. I got rid of mine because it was disgusting, the waiter came over to try and put it back but I stopped him and said it was dirty. He then reached over at another dirty placemat on the table and replaced it.
My coffee cup was also dirty as were the napkins gave us.

The flies are terrible… You cannot relax outside without being pestered by them… when you’re eating (outside) you’re constantly trying to get them off your food.

We ordered cocktails and the barman put the wrong alcohol in them.

Apparently during winter only one pool is open… (this should be advertised) all the sun beds are crowded next to each other and were taken. (Even when the hotel isn’t at its busiest).

The pool boy just stands around and texts on his phone… I don’t understand why he isn’t going around cleaning up mess or changing the cushions on the sun beds as a lot of them looked dirty with cigarette ash, food etc.
It would’ve been nice if there was some sort of pool service (perhaps they have this but I didn’t see this when I was there).

There is no entertainment whatsoever, so very boring!

Pros :
The food is fairly well priced in comparison to other places and even though it’s not great, it’s better than other hotels we visited .

The pool is heated and open 24hrs which means you can swim when it’s less busy under the stars

The staff were all polite and sweet. Especially one server at dinner (wish I’d asked his name).

Two balconies in room (one from bedroom, one from bathroom) with a pretty view

It is pretty there and has a lot of potential but sadly the staff are slack/aren’t trained properly and the cleanliness of the hotel is not good enough. The staff are very polite though and very sweet.

Luckily I’d read reviews before turning up to this place so we just booked one night and wouldn’t want to stay any longer than that. It was an interesting experience seeing the hot springs but they do get quite busy at certain times.

On the photos the room looked much better than in reality. Hotel (expect entrance and lobby) and room oldfashioned, need renovation. Bed was good, however quite hard (for me appropriate). Bathroom with all needed facilities (cosmetics, hair dryer), only bath towels, no small towels f.e. face towel. Although spa hotel with pools and hot springs in the area, no bathrobes nor towels in the room. Waited more than 20 minutes after asking for them at reception desk, but were not delivered. After that time just left the room wanting no more time waiste. Also luggage delivery to the room needs improvement. Needed extremely long time. Very pricey dinner (25 JD per person) and the buffet was nothing special, definitely not worth this money. A la carte menu also expensive. Breakfast buffet was ok. Pool service poor. Needed to wait for the towels, once guests left the pool area, it was not cleaned up after them - left towels, dirty glass etc. Flies quite irritating and disrupting the tim e at the pool. Choice of pools great, main pool with hot water. Great ambience, despite flies, great location, peace and local music arrangements after dinner.

Good side: I like the scenic view of the rocky mountain located in 400m below sea level who could imagine that there is a hot thermal located in that area. Quiet and relaxing place, food was delicious which is worth the price.

Downside: The hotel needs exhaustive maintenance. The room that we stayed in was worn out, TV wasn’t working, the AC control pad is broken, the bath tub is chipped and the pillow has a stinky smell. They should take the precautionary measures like the cleanliness and sanitization of the rooms especially in this time of pandemic. Hope you will take my constructive feedback into consideration because the hotel is unique in general and the location.

WOW. I really looked forward to staying here for two nights. And left wondering why I had bothered. I thought the waterfall hot springs would be so amazing and didn't really think anywhere in a location like that would have a sub par hotel attached to it. What a shame. Frighteningly overpriced alcoholic beverages. Terrible service with zero knowledge of the overpriced cocktails they were making. Please do not have bartenders that are unable to try the cocktails they are making (for religious purposes). Disgusting. Poor restaurant a la carte menu. Very kiddyfied. Sandwiches and chips. Room service menu was much better and as the service in the restaurant was so poor I much preferred the in room dining option. The breakfast was ok, the view was the best bit (over the hot waterfall). But the whole building felt as though it was all built back to front. The breakfast area looked over the waterfall (which was beautiful) but it was a only lovely if you were inside as being outside was like being in a wind tunnel. Not pleasant at all. The one pool (that was open) seemed to North facing, so it was only warm in the water was soon as the sun had been lost behind the mountain. The cost of cheap 'house reds and whites' that would have cost no more than a tenner from Tesco were marked up by at least 500%!!! It's fine to drink in Jordan according to all the tourist guides, but this was a really transparent (and successful attempt) to make it completely inaccessible. I was told by the management that "all" hotels charge the same for in house wines. WOW. FIY: the hot springs are actually open to the public who want to splash about for the day, for a considerably smaller outlay and there's a little convenience store and coffee shop just over the road with free parking to boot! Wish we had known that instead of the disappointment of our two stay at the Ma'in Hot Springs Resort and Spa. P.S. couldn't afford a single spa treatment! Time to peace out!

i will never ever go back to this hotel ever. the rooms are not clean, service is very very bad. no signs even at the front door to push or pull the door.
very old rooms, beds are not comfortable at all. towels are old and overused. if you ask for ice you have to pay for it, even in every hotel its free. food is very bad. the most important is the hygiene which is almost nothing. most of the guests don't use masks, at breakfast almost every one use their hands to pick food. no social distancing . the facility it self is very old with no maintenance . no sound isolation at all. if you are lucky you will have some sleep from the gests and kids sounds around you in the rooms and outside the room. spa they have is very bad, its suppose to have 2 parts one is closed the over have almost cold water. as over all experience its very bad one. this hotel need big time renovation from the beginning . have new management that is business oriented with understanding of tourism attraction.

A friend and me booked one night at the hotel over booking.com. We mainly were looking for a good deal to relax and because there was a good offer including breakfast we chose Main springs. Upon arrival we were told that there is no breakfast included even though it was clearly stated on the offer and our booking confirmation. The staff was not willing to compensate or did not put any effort for us and even complained about booking.com. when contacting booking.com, we were told that since they are an intermediary they cannot help us - we should resolve this issue with the hotel. We were disappointed by how the hotel reacted to out complaints and how they handled the situation.

Apart from this, the hotel was average. It is old and not very well preserved. There were many small details that are important in a five star hotel that were not taken care of. (tv controller was broken, bathroom was not cleaned well, toilet had a missing piece, room service took over 1.5 hours, service staff was not friendly, pool was closed - was not mentioned.)

It is so easy to only look at only the negatives.
Ask yourself why is this most beautiful and once luxurious hotel neglected in some areas.
Once a hotel has been brought by a corporation, then the people within the corporation will be holding out their hands once a month to collect their dividends, not leaving enough money in the pot for anything else.
You have to understand that the management are given a small budget to work with , out of that they have to, pay the hotel food for guests towels, and linen cleaning maintenance, staff, wages etc etc.
The staff I met and spoke with where all absolutely amazing and welcoming,
Doing the best they could in the circumstances.
Before giving negative reviews, think about the reasons,
I would 100 % stay here again, my surroundings where sublime the food amazing and my hotel room was spectacular, the thermal pools hot.
Really could do with getting the cool pool side showers working.
Thank you to each and every member of staff, I applaud you for your magnificent dedication & service.
To the corporation, read the bad reviews you are receiving , renovate your asset and the rewards will follow.
The hotel could and should once again be magnificent.

I'll start with the good points
The staff are friendly
The restaurant staff and chefs were extremely helpful and very nice to the kids. The food was good with decent variety
As for the remarks
The rooms are not that clean the hotel is old and could use refurbishment, it's still the same furnishings since Evason and six senses, nearly 15 years ago.
There's no hot water in the rooms, it's lukewarm only
Only pool working is the thermal pool
waterfall is not open, so you can only use the public waterfalls which are a bit inconvenient
Or pay 37 extra to use the spa waterfall but no kids are allowed

In an exceptional setting, water gushes everywhere: several swimming pools, a small thalasso complex decorated with a very sure taste in a valley out of time and space. The owner, George, and one of the managers, Lina, offer a warm welcome and are very attentive to impeccable quality, so that you can really relax here after a few days of visiting the country. A visit is highly recommended.

This hotel doesn't worth what it costs. Bad service, rooms old fashioned and dirty. And If you want to enjoy the waterfall you have to pay extra 38JD just to get into the waterfall pool (not to enjoy any massage or treatment). We pay 97JD for bed and breakfast and what we receive is not what we have paid for. You only can swim in a dirty pool full of flies.
The photos on the net seems one thing and when you go you see another very different. Don't go to this place!
