We stayed at Lamon hotel when visiting the area, and it was a great place to stay. Right in front of the beach, with plenty of restaurant choices. The rooms were quite spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet was excellent, lunch was also delicious, and staff was very, very friendly. When we asked where we could wash some of our clothes, the lady at the reception said they could do it for free as they had stopped working with the service they were working before. I highly recommend this hotel!

In a normal year this would have been an ideal choice. It is near good restaurants, opposite the beach and has a small swimming pool. However it didn't have the welcoming feel of the other hotels we stayed in. There was one receptionist, who was very helpful but sat behind a large counter. There were no sunbeds and breakfast was taken in another hotel. This felt a bit like a canteen with vast trays of food being brought to us. Quantity rather than quality!! The hotel was safe, for which we are very grateful but it needs to work out how to make itself a bit more friendly.

Let me start by saying that the staff and owners are extremely friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a simple holiday, this hotel has everything you need. Clean rooms that have recently been refurbished. Ask for a sea view and watch the sun set from your balcony. Or have a swim in the pool. Going to the beach is even less stressful. No parking issues, you have your very own chair and umbrella, your biggest challenge is making it past a couple of meters of stones getting in and out of the sea. The swim is wonderful. I repeat that the staff and owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Where this hotel falls short of excellent (for me) is that whilst you have all the amenities available to you, all day, the bar service closes at 4pm. Which is a shame really given you have the best location for an amazing sunset experience. This however does not deter me from coming back - thank you once again for everything you did for us.

I arrived to this hotel by chance. I wanted to go to Preveli beach from Rethymno. There was not enough time to go back to Rethymno so I ended up staying in Plakias hotel Lamon for 2 nights. I could not have done a better choice for the price: big room and bathroom,both spotlessly clean with a balcony with view to a lush garden. They even had a pool and sunbeds but why stay by the pool when you have the sea so close. At first I had some doubts about the hotel ,given the fact that you could not find so many reviews online. By the time I opened the door of the room and saw it, all my doubts vanished. The only downside is the breakfast ,that they offer at a nearby hotel.For me it was not a good fit : you receive everything packed - a good thing in this period , but the quality of the products leaves much to be desired. My advice would be: less is better, more quality less quantity. Despite this minor inconvenience I have enjoyed the 2 days spent in Plakias and I would definitely come back.

Excellent welcome in this small Pension in Plakias, where we spent four nights and three magical days! Charming staff and very good Trip Tip. Congratulations to the manager for her efforts in French! The Inn is ideally placed to crisscross the sublime southern beaches: Preveli beach, Glyka nera, Loutro, Horti Ammos, Skinaria.... The sea view room was simply perfect. A slight downside: some industrial products served for Breakfast while the island is full of local products not necessarily more expensive.

A wonderful stay. Very comfortable and clean in an excellent location. The buffet breakfast was always fresh and the pool,was a nice little extra. The hotel also provides free sunbeds for guests use. One little thing that could be improved is having longer ladders into the pool, to make it easier for the less mobile have easier access. The view from the balcony of Room 103 was lovely.
