Detailed Reviews
It's one of the places I would consider to visit again (even though in general I prefer to explore new places). It just felt good to be there. Both the hotel itself and its location made you feel comfortable that you've made a good decision when choosing your destination.
As for the hotel, I really can't complain. Delicious food, helpful staff, spacious and clean rooms (lot of them with sea view), located just a few steps from the beach (and 1 minute walk to 2 different supermarkets). We were also very surprised that we could keep our room for late check out without additional charge.
Highly recommended!

We visited Plakias on an organised trip. We were in the town for lunch and on our guide’s recommendation, we took a table next to the beach and ordered lunch from the hotel’s restaurant.
Service was slow. It took a while to take our order and the traditional Greek friendly service wasn’t much in evidence.
Food was a little more expensive than some and the meat was a little tough. Worst of all, plates were not cleared when we finished. We sat for a very long time staring at the debris. We had ordered coffee but it never arrived so we went inside the hotel to pay the bill. There was some small panic and coffees were produced which we drank quickly at a table in the lobby. Sadly, one thing that never came was any sort of apology or recognition that it just hadn’t been good enough.
We won’t be returning.

We really enjoyed our stay in Alianthos Beach Hotel. First of all - Staff is amazing. All of them are really helpful and friendly. They helped us to organize 2 trips, ensure lunch boexes and even let us stay longer in one room as we had a flight back in the evening. Rooms are clean and spacious - not luxury but they have everything you need. We booked a package with breakfest and dinner and despite Covid19 circumstences they were served perfectly fine. Last but not least hotel is very well located - right by the beautiful beach of Plakias.

I was a big fan of your restaurant. Since 2018 I have visited this place (Plakias, Alianthos) several times and was always very satisfied, the location is fabulous, your dishes were excellent, your staff was very friendly. It always felt familiar. In general, that keeps me coming back. Especially, your waiter named Abdul has always made me feel at home, the tasty food was professionally served with a certain charm and hospitality. He really cares. To be honest, this year I was disappointed. Besides of him, Abdul (he still is the same making a great job with a lot of passion and hearth), a lot of things has changed. The other waiters were not so friendly, even chaotic, not organized well, sometimes very loud. In my opinion, your restaurant is supposed to be a place where I can enjoy my vacation vibes and this time I felt rather stressed. However, I wish you a lot of success and please, be better again, so I can come back for a dinner during my next holiday in Plakias :)

Had to pay for the all too common chairs and umbrella hire on the beach so thought may as well order some drinks, had to go to the hotel to pay upfront, then they delivered drinks to the beach. Was only there for an hour. Would be good if chairs were complimentary with min drinks or food order.

We spent our vacation in Plakias in August and had dinner several times at the Hotel Alianthos Beach, which had tables under the trees by the beach. We were very satisfied with the environment and cuisine. We appreciated the professional approach of the waiter Abdul. We plan to return again in a year . The Mozis family

Warm hospitality from the staff and family, great food, clean rooms and a perfect location right on the beach - We had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. We live on the north side of Crete and know the island very well - came here for a change of scenery - so glad we did as we were thoroughly spoiled by the family who own this hotel. We’ll definitely be back and have already recommended it to many of our friends.

We didn't stay overnight here, but truly enjoyed great meals and excellent service at the restaurant. The setting is lovely, with tables by the sea under a natural arbor provided by the trees. The waiters were friendly and professional. We tried pasta, seafood and meat dishes, and thought they were all delicious.

+1
Nice venue and great location. Hotel is in almost front of the beach (Main Street is between hotel and beach). sea view rooms have a picturesque view. Definitely would stay again to that hotel. Covid protocols are applied 100%. Box for garbages is missing inside the room.
