I was looking forward to stay here again and found that the hotel changed a lot of things. Sunday evening buffet was not really something to remember meat was dry and tasteless. Rooms was clean but Tv channels changed so there was only soccer channels available on sport. I don’t think I will go there again.
The room I was out in did not have ANY ironing facilities neither hair drier... differently the one I booked. The hotel doesn't charge the booking value at first just to say that your room is cancelled when you get there (what I was never informed prior my arrival) ... and then they give you an inferior room... not mentioning the stress you go through when you get to the hotel you have a reservation and there's no reservation... gladly I had everything noted emails, prints and everything. The experience was horrible and I do not recommend this hotel.
My wife and I traveled to South Africa for our 25th wedding anniversary. We were looking forward to an adventure. We were not expecting the arrival at the hotel to be the adventure. The hotel is 43 minutes from the JNB airport. 1. First problem. When we arrived at the hotel, the credit card machine was not able to connect. The error code was that the machine was not able to go online. The attendant asked me if I wanted to try another card. I thought that was a strange request since the problem was the machine not my card. The attendant then said that it was the first day she had used that machine. So we were not able to upgrade our room to include breakfast. 2. Second problem. She then proceeded to tell us that the wifi was damaged and not working properly so the speed was reduced. I asked her when it would be restored and she said they were still doing quotations to find out how much it would cost to fix. Strange. 3. Third problem. She told us that the elevator was not working. So we had to carry our bags up two flights of stairs 4. Four problem. She told us that our room was “confusing” to find, so she offered to bring us to our rooms. Nice offer and we accepted. (Luckily we had not taken our bags out of the car yet). In fact the room was so hard to find that she could not find it. We looked on three separate floors and climbed up and down three flights of stairs and walked down two dead end hallways before finding the room. 5. Fifth problem. The room only had twin beds. I know you may be thinking “after 25 years of marriage do You still need a double bed?” My answer is an emphatic yes. 6. Sixth problem. I asked her to change us into a room with a double or king bed. She said yes but after asking her manager she told us that there would be an additional cost. So I asked how much. She said she would have to ask. So she did and came back with the answer that there were no more rooms with double or king beds. So in summary, our second honeymoon in a hotel with no WiFi, no elevator, no double beds, and no working credit card machine. Consider a different hotel. Unfortunately we paid ours in advance :(…
Firstly the Hotel receptionist needs to smile and greet guests. Don't wait for the guests to greet you first. The Hotel looks like it's been recently revamped. The room is neat. I wasn't too impressed with the linen though... The linen looked a 100 yrs old and had stains on them. I don't expect to pay for accommadation and have poor quality. No bar fridge in the room. My husband is diabetic and is on insulin. We had no fridge to keep the insulin in. We were asked to get ice from the restaurant which is the next building. Neither was there any form of assistance from the receptionist in getting the ice. The aircon in our room didn't work in the middle of summer. Coincidently we had friends stay in the exact same room in December and the air con hadn't worked back then. There were other rooms were the aircons didn't work either. There are no porters to assist with luggage. We stayed on the third floor. Had to take the lift to the 2nd and then drag our luggage up stairs to the next floor. And then we have the shower which is way too small. You literally cannot turn let alone close the shower door properly. This establishment definatley needs maintenance. Luckily this was just an overnight stay for us.…
