Small guest with only a few rooms which allows for a personal but non-intrusive interest by owner. Slightly quirky but more than adequate. Quiet area with distant traffic sounds and nice outlook. Good value.
Friendly, homely enviroment and delightful people and the atmosphere in the garden is truely amazing. Thanx to Stefan and his brother, even though he did not feel great everything was still in place. We wish you all the best Keep it up and God bless
The pictures you see are not a true reflection of what you get. Renovations taking place makes it very dusty, the room we were in didn't lock. No reception, so was a bit of confusion with checking in by cleaning staff. I personally didn't sleep and was not comfortable there at all. The owner did arrive - although he didn't introduce himself we presume he was the owner. He then bought us teas / coffees etc which you think would be in the room beforehand.
Friendly and accommodating service. Just noisy room, especially early mornings from other parts of the establishment. Partitioned walls aren't sound proof and open partition to dining area don't shut off other noises. But stay was pleasant and room comfortable.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. We got upgraded without any additional cost from our side. Out host was very friendly and accommodating. The outside surroundings is beautiful and falling asleep to the sound of the small stream is calming and creates a tranquil environment.
The photo is exceptional, but is a product of the owner's imagination. I selected this establishment based on photos and past reviews (and awards). However, it is a mere shell of its former glory, if such glory existed in the fist place. I visited during winter, and it was always cold. I got bumped from an awful room to one that was less awful, and then was returned again (after making a request) back to the less awful room. The TV didn't work, and the place was generally run down. At times the owners (two brother) tried to make up for the woeful lack with niceties, but the negatives overwhelmed the positives.
Greeted by the owner who was exceptionally friendly and passionate about his place. The place is beautiful and tranquil and absolutely peaceful. Having the Juksei River flowing pass is a bonus. The rooms are tastefully decorated and exceptionally comfortable. Definitely a gem hidden in the hustle of a busy life.
I booked Twin waters for a client flying in from KZN, the flight was slight delayed and only landed at 22:00 My client and her husband arrived 22:20 where the manager came out and chased them away as latest book in time is 22:00 They were stranded on the sidewalk with no where to go. I called him on his mobile where he refused to answer and would just end the call after a few rings. I even paid for them for breakfast. NO CALL BACK OR REFUND, THIS WAS THE WORST THING THAT CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE!!!!!!!
The guest house is under construction, had to wait 20 min to get into the gate, there is no reception, no service, room linen were not fresh, shower geyser did not have any power (but the glass wall into another area deterred me anyhow), lights were shining through glass walls and windows whole night, inadequate drapes over windows and could not find anyone to check me out in the morning. Most bizarre experience.
Stefan has a wonderful place and we were lucky to stay in the Executive Suite after there was a problem with our room. We loved the design and the feel and all the artwork that Stefan made. He is friendly to talk to and helpful. Definitely a highlight sleep-over on our way to Hoedspruit!
