Once I had planned all of this and was ready to go, the host phoned me the day before and told me that she'd made a mistake, and that there was no space available and I'd have to go elsewhere. All the places in the area were booked and no alternative was offered.
There are lots of great places in the area, rather look around.

Arbour Gardens was 'Chicken Soup for my Soul" The beautiful natural gardens, the sound of the river and birds and the beauty of the environment had be relaxing instantly. The River Villa is beautifully rustic and very comfortable. The fireplace in the lounge and the one in the kitchen kept the cold winter night chill at bay.
And what a paradise for our kids. Our daughters enjoyed the freedom of exploring and going on adventures conjured up in their imaginations. Its so sad that back home in JHB they are couped up and aren't able to run free and just be a kid. The farm was large enough for them to do this. I only saw them when they were hungry and when we went to explore other parts of the Magaliesberg area.
We will definitely be back.
