We booked at Usiba Lodge for Valentine's weekend. After reading a disappointing review we were very sceptical about the lodge but decided to take the risk as we had booked on short notice. We had no difficulty with directions and signpost on main road were easy to follow. What a pleasant surprise. Lovely well-kept gardens and pool deck. We received a very warm welcome by Themba and his team. The room was beautiful and well serviced. The dinner was lovely and very romantic. Another surprise was the complimentary bottle of champagne, roses and chocolates in the room later that evening. I would definitely recommend the lodge. Thanks again Themba and team.

I attended a workshop held at the Usiba Country Lodge over the weekend of the 3rd - 5th of June 2016. Usiba was a fantastic country venue with a homely feel and with staff that complimented this. The layout is awesome with a great mix of lodging, open space and conference rooms.
Lovely pathways lead one to the lodge rooms that are well furnished and carry all the necessities.
A fantastic swimming pool for the summer and volleyball courts to break out a sweat are found on opposite sides of the main buildings. A well appointed bar awaits the thirsty traveler.

The huge fire pit kept us story telling later into the star filled night.

We booked with Usiba on the 23rd of September 2015, We spoke to Themba who was very warm and highly professional.Even thouth our booking was short notice we managed to get a well prepared luxury suite. the staff was very friendly and not to mention the food by Chef Thabang.

It was an amazing time we spent, we even got a bottle of campaign from Themba to congratulate us on our wedding that was on the 19th. I believe this was thee honeymoon. awesome time indeed.

Thank you so much for making our stay so precious.

Kind regards
Lindy & Thabo

My husband & I booked to stay @ Usiba Lode for our 30th wedding Anniversary. We travelled on Friday, 11th of July for a 2 night stay. First of all it is very badly signposted, no signs for the lodge on the main road. Telephoned Themba to ask for directions. Arrived at a gate, locked. Telephoned Themba, again. He says keep driving to a further gate. Which we did, gate's were locked. Telephoned Themba, again. He said, sorry but we phoned you five times to say that there had been a riot in the local township. I told him that neither I or my husband had received any phone calls or emails, if we had, we would not have driven for over 3 hours! I asked if we were the only guests? we were but he would come and open the gates and find a chef !!!!!!. We said don't bother. Themba said I will phone you on Monday about a complimentary nights stay, still waiting. Drove home very unhappy.

It offered the different feel of accommodation. an out of town , no disturbance setting which allowed the type of boot camp we took. It can also be an ideal place to be yourself in a private and secluded relaxed environment .

The best place to be to find yourself, unwind and connect with nature. Had the most remarkable time with my son this Oct '2018' at this gorgeous lodge. Everything from arrival, the room, the food and the service was just so great. I'm already planning to go back there soon, the staff is super amazing....

This country lodge is secluded, lovely and secure. There are about 16 rooms, 2 conference centers, a spa building, in ground swimming pool and world class dining. Amid all of this there are chickens moving around, a flock of geese, monkeys, and a man made dam. There is room to walk, room to relax, and room just to chill out. If you are travelling with children, this is an ideal place for them to run free. I can't wait to go back.

I feel terrible for not writing earlier to say how wonderful this place is. We were not booked to stay here but ended up stranded at Usiba at 03:00am. We'd just driven across Namibia and Botswana and were on our way through SA.
The amazing staff here welcomed us with open arms even though it was a ridiculous hour in the morning. They let us stay in our car which had a tent on the roof and park it in their grounds. We had to leave a few hours later to catch a plane and drop our car off but the staff there still managed to serve us an amazing breakfast and gave us sandwiches for our onward journey. The kindness we received was unimaginable. Such incredible South African hospitality. Lovely food, lovely place and thank you again - we will always remember it.
