We came for our anniversary, and were treated with the utmost courtesy by Jeremiah and staff. Everything was as hoped for, and more. The room was furnished with exquisite taste, and comfort. The cheese platter at the river, breakfast and the dinner basket in the lovely French street-style restaurant was tasty, and more than enough. Wine and drinks were served as we requested. On departure, we found that Innocent had even washed our car. Highly recommended for a lovely breakaway.

We would like to give thanks to all the friendly staff at the guest house. Jeremiah, Innocent and the Team are spectacular. Food amazing, massage Devine, and the forest walk is a must. Place is a thumbs up... Breathe taking environment.. Unique in its own way. And has fireplaces😉

The place is true to its word, quaint, not modern, French themed. So that’s a bit of a novelty. Also the surroundings are picturesque and it’s lovely and peaceful at the river. Another positive is that the massages are overly. However, overall, it lacks in comfort and the food is horrendous. But as in seriously seriously bad. The soup is inedible, the pastry raw, literally nothing tasted good except for a boiled egg that you get for breakfast. I didn’t think it was possible to stuff up toast but there you go! The supposed WiFi is non existent. It’s the type of place that you wouldn’t recommend to your friends and you would never go back to.

My husband and I just had the most amazing time away. We really needed it, and will remember it always. Nestled away in the beautiful Magaliesburg Mountains is place where you can really get away from the busy city and reconnect with nature and those you love. It's so tranquil and relaxing at LA Provance D'Afrique and Jeremiah and the team are all truly remarkable. They really made us feel at home with delicious food and great hospitality. The breakfast served down at the river is the perfect way to start you day. Ps: I would definately recommend the full body hot stone massage and cheese platter

We had an “unforgettable" experience at La Provence D'Afrique! The venue is a rustic Moulin Rouge French-style village theme. The lodge is beautifully unique and fascinating, with an old French charm which adds to the romance of the venue. The unique French suites step out onto a quaint street Café where you enjoy your dinner by candlelight, a burning fireplace with French music in the background. The French suites are beautifully decorated, the attention to detail is exquisite. The French suites leave you feeling nostalgic. A bonus, the full body stone massages at the Zen Spa in the forest, a tranquil Breakfast, Cheese platter Brunch by the river in a peaceful, relaxing setting. It was such a pleasure to have the company of the 2 gentle friendly Labradors. Jeremiah, Tembakosi and Innocence were awesome, friendly and efficient, always going beyond the call of duty. An added bonus our vehicle was washed before our departure. Thank you to an amazing Team! I would highly recommend this experience at La Provence D’Afrique for people who want to take a step back in time, to be captivated by a rustic old French atmosphere, for those who want a unique romantic fantasy escape to a fairytale world!

What a fantastic place for a romantic getaway. La Provence is highly recommended to any couple who would like to escape the rat race. The entire property will fascinate and captivate you with something to see around every corner. Step out of the city and into nature. The massages were divine. The staff are super friendly and really made our anniversary super special. I highly recommend the cheese board but make sure you leave space for the scrumptious dinner. The French suites will delight the vintage lover and leave you feeling nostalgic. Overall a lovely experience. Will definitely be returning in future.

Stayed for 2 nights during the week. A very special place. Love the decor and the 1800 French village theme. This place is not for everybody, especially those that love the modern/yuppie lifestyle. This place is a unique experience. Breakfast by the river every morning, dinner in the street cafe, both a discerning and enjoyable experience. Food was amazing, staff incredibly attentive, Jeremiah is always willing and ever helpful. The only thing I missed was a Cognac in the street cafe!

This is the fourth time I have been to La Provance D'afrique and that should say it all. An ideal rustic and romantic retreat for couples with a sublime hot stone massage for all guests. (They even wash your vehicle.) A little bit of Provance in the heart of Magaliesberg. Marguerite and Jeremiah and team are always willing to go the extra mile.

Nestled within the Magaliesburg, you find that La Provence is the place for any couple that wishes to escape the hustle of the City.. the 3 dogs that greet you on the premises are so friendly and gentle.. reminded me of home!. it was mostly the attention to detail that got my attention! There were flowers in the room and with all your meals. if antiques flow through your veins, you will most definitely see the value of the antique furniture and decor! Loved the food basket on Friday evening and Saturday morning!. the Staff were super friendly and efficient. The cherry on top was that Innocence washed our vehicle on departure! we also did the bush walk 5km rout and have to say.. I never knew that there is a Boys and Girls town in Magaliesburg! The hot stone massages were nestled next to the river and we just loved it! I would most definitely refer La Provence to all my friends and family. Head up to Jeremiah, Innocence and Tebisani!

Very deceiving photos. The bedroom is in the dining area, you open the room door and you are literally in the restaurant. On the first evening the dinner was served in baskets. The basket is not practical the food was ice cold and awful. Definitely did not live up to the expectation. Not value for money. One positive thing is the staff try to make up for the disappointment.

Bonjour, THE venue is French themed and it mentions everywhere that the suites run out onto our quaint street cafe' for 5/7 couples enjoying their dinner in candle light & french music background-- been running for 15yrs and almost everyone loves the concept. Our dinner baskets consist of a cold starter , fresh side salad & miniature homemade breads, a french chicken& leeks hotpot pie that also gets baked just before serving with wild rice & veg, a cold summer berry desert & creame fresh! We have a wonderful dream team that's around all the time to warm food or for any complaint -- as I say in our info brief-- not for the modern finicky person! REGARDS, MARGUERITE & TEAM .
