We came for our anniversary, and were treated with the utmost courtesy by Jeremiah and staff. Everything was as hoped for, and more. The room was furnished with exquisite taste, and comfort. The cheese platter at the river, breakfast and the dinner basket in the lovely French street-style restaurant was tasty, and more than enough. Wine and drinks were served as we requested. On departure, we found that Innocent had even washed our car. Highly recommended for a lovely breakaway.

We would like to give thanks to all the friendly staff at the guest house. Jeremiah, Innocent and the Team are spectacular. Food amazing, massage Devine, and the forest walk is a must. Place is a thumbs up... Breathe taking environment.. Unique in its own way. And has fireplaces😉

The place is true to its word, quaint, not modern, French themed. So that’s a bit of a novelty. Also the surroundings are picturesque and it’s lovely and peaceful at the river. Another positive is that the massages are overly. However, overall, it lacks in comfort and the food is horrendous. But as in seriously seriously bad. The soup is inedible, the pastry raw, literally nothing tasted good except for a boiled egg that you get for breakfast. I didn’t think it was possible to stuff up toast but there you go! The supposed WiFi is non existent. It’s the type of place that you wouldn’t recommend to your friends and you would never go back to.

My husband and I just had the most amazing time away. We really needed it, and will remember it always. Nestled away in the beautiful Magaliesburg Mountains is place where you can really get away from the busy city and reconnect with nature and those you love. It's so tranquil and relaxing at LA Provance D'Afrique and Jeremiah and the team are all truly remarkable. They really made us feel at home with delicious food and great hospitality. The breakfast served down at the river is the perfect way to start you day. Ps: I would definately recommend the full body hot stone massage and cheese platter

We had an “unforgettable" experience at La Provence D'Afrique! The venue is a rustic Moulin Rouge French-style village theme. The lodge is beautifully unique and fascinating, with an old French charm which adds to the romance of the venue. The unique French suites step out onto a quaint street Café where you enjoy your dinner by candlelight, a burning fireplace with French music in the background. The French suites are beautifully decorated, the attention to detail is exquisite. The French suites leave you feeling nostalgic. A bonus, the full body stone massages at the Zen Spa in the forest, a tranquil Breakfast, Cheese platter Brunch by the river in a peaceful, relaxing setting. It was such a pleasure to have the company of the 2 gentle friendly Labradors. Jeremiah, Tembakosi and Innocence were awesome, friendly and efficient, always going beyond the call of duty. An added bonus our vehicle was washed before our departure. Thank you to an amazing Team! I would highly recommend this experience at La Provence D’Afrique for people who want to take a step back in time, to be captivated by a rustic old French atmosphere, for those who want a unique romantic fantasy escape to a fairytale world!
