Sharon, the owner, is the kindest person I have ever met! It was my first time in South Africa with my friend and we were clueless! Sharon helped us organize time with advice on where to go and where. She even arranged a tour to the cape of good hope for us with a friend of hers, Marius, who was also very kind! The place is gorgeous and clean, and the pool is spectacular! Breakfast was also delicious! I would give Sharon and Watercolours 1,000 stars if I could! If you are staying in Simon's Town, this is THE place! :)

We booked Watercolours for a family birthday and filled all the rooms. It was so beautifully done both inside and out. All the rooms were generous sizes with en suites, fridges and kettles, plus outdoor space. The breakfasts were incredible - a true feast! Sharon and Gary made us feel so welcome which was such a bonus. The pool was also gorgeous, looking right out onto the sea yet it was very private. We had a disabled guest with us who was perfectly able to stay here and move around as there are two bedrooms on the main floor (along with the dining, living and kitchen space). Absolutely dreamy stay - don’t miss!

Beautiful. Lovely visit. Wonderful breakfast. Couldn’t ask for a better place. The view is stunning and it’s a perfect location for both cape point and kales bay as well as Cape Town central. Penguin visit was awesome.
