Detailed Reviews
We stayed in the Flying Penguin for the second time and loved each moment. The hosts Lorraine and Andrew are wonderful people, they are so kind and helpful and suppported us in every possible way. We stayed in the Penthouse apartment and we loved the amazing view over the Ocean. The location is very quiet and it´s a good starting point to the Cape Peninsular. The apartment is very spacious and offers all amenities we needed during our stay. The breakfast is excellent and I recommend to book it, it´s more than generous, healthy and delicious. We loved our stay very much and the Flying Penguin will be our choice again when staying in Simon´s Town next time. Thank you Lorraine and Andrew, you are the best hosts!

Cannot ask for more in a stay. Andrew and Lorraine were wonderful hosts. They even offered to do a laundry load, which helped us survived another week in South Africa ^^ Great value for money and the kids loved the apartment. They even got to practice a bit of piano! Will definitely recommend and would love to visit again ourselves when the next opportunity arises. Until then!

We found the Flying penguin last minute during our roadtrip in South-Africa. It is very well situated for the attractions of the Cape Peninsula and also in a very nice and quiet little village. The hosts are very friendly and serve a nice, tasty and personal breakfast.

Very pleasant little place to stay in - neat and clean. The people running the facility are very friendly and sweet. All in all a very nice place. Basically could be a home away from home with all the facilities you need to enjoy a night in. Has a sea view.

Nice view, tranquil setting, private mini garden, WiFi and super pet friendly. Close to food stores, lovely pet friendly beeches. We stayed for 11 nights and the hosts were absolutely magnificent, even did a 4 legged babysitting for us.

A fantastic place to stay. It is away from the chaotic part of the Cape, situated on a private street. Access to the main sites is very simple. Very clean and well appointed rooms. My room had an ocean view and outside seating area. The host was very kind and helpful.
