Detailed Reviews
We were happy that we paid the premium for the deluxe room as the balcony is big with a table and the view magnificent. The hotel supplies breakfast which you eat at a neighbouring restaurant which in which you choose a cooked item from an extensive menu and also help yourself to fruit, cereal, yoghurt and pastry from the buffet. You can also borrow towels from the front desk and they supply unlimited filtered water in the frig. Also you get a turn-down service at night with a chocolate on your pillow and small cookies on the coffee bar.

We had a very comfortable stay with a beautiful view of the yatch club with the mountains in the distance. Everyone member of staff was extremely pleasant and friendly to us from the wondeful ladies at the reception to the waiters and waitresses at the bottom as well as the cleaning staff. The breakfast was lovely with a good variety of lovely choices which can be made friendly for vegetarians. When ordering room service the chef called up to ask if we were vegan or vegetarian which was a very good consideration to us. All in all a wonderful stay and we look forward to coming through again.

Dear AkinaG11, Thank you for your five star review following your stay at aha Simon's Town Quayside Hotel. I am delighted to read that we helped make your stay pleasant, but most important, relaxing! Simon's Town is indeed the place to be to just unwind and what a better place to do that than aha Simon's Town Quayside Hotel. Our views across the marina are indeed beautiful, with the morning sunrise adding that little extra something special. I have thanked the Team, as well as the chef, for going the extra mile and we welcome another opportunity to welcome you back to make some more special memories. With kind regards, Shavonne Coetzer General Manager aha Simon's Town Quayside Hotel

We spent one night but will be back. Excellent value. The bedroom was large, king size extremely comfortable mattress, superb linen, great air con and fridge that were both very quiet, large shower with an option to have the shower head fixed or hand held.

We had two rooms at this well-located hotel. Each room was spacious with astounding views of the ocean and surrounds, which is what we were looking for.
Restaurants are within walking distance so it was fab to leave the car behind.
The breakfast provided in the restaurant downstairs was so very good and we enjoyed the friendly staff there too.
We stayed during the largest timed cycle race but the hotel provided good information so we felt prepared but not intruded on. Thank you for the kind late check-out given because of the race.
Everything was enjoyable and we would like to stay again.

I've stayed at this place only for 2 nights but all the time spent at this location was amazing. The hotel staff was very really great and truly helpful with organizing the late pick-up at the airport (I've actually only arrived at the hotel after midnight), finding the guide for the car tour and many valuable advice on how to organize my short stay in the most efficient way. The hotel itself is located in the center with the breakfast served in the restaurant nearby (just downstairs) with the marine view which truly made my morning special. I didn't have the sea view in my room as I've booked at the last moment however the street was not noisy and didn't nothing disturbed me sleeping. The hotel is located on the walking distance from the Boulders beach and this is really great as I was able to spend as much time as I wanted with penguins and also to swim with them comparing to the tourists who came from Cape Town and had only the limited amount of time. It's also pretty close to the Cape point and Cape of good hope. Will definitely stay in this hotel the next time.

Dear Ksenia G, Thank you for your amazing review following your recent stay at aha Simon's Town Quayside Hotel. I am delighted to receive your commendations about the impressive service offered. Please be assured that I will congratulate our TEAM for doing a great job! Most travelers to Cape Town tend to stay in Cape Town city, which as you have mentioned, only allows them limited time to enjoy the attractions in our area. By spending a couple nights in Simon's Town, our guests get to enjoy their experiences without any rush. Thank you again for your top score review and we welcome another opportunity to welcome you back. With kind regards, Shavonne Coetzer General Manager aha Simon's Town Quayside Hotel

Good hotel, lots of rooms! This is a modern hotel, right on the quayside (hence the name!). We elected to stay in mountain view rooms as we were there only one night.
Good sized bathrooms with nice showers.
The inclusive breakfast is taken in the Saveur Restaurant overlooking the little harbour (below the rooms), in which we also had dinner the night before (very good it was too). The Continental breakfast was amazing, so many choices and the cooked options were very good.

If you are looking for a tranquil getaway with a picturesque view,
your search is over, BOOK IT NOW :D!!!!!
From the moment we walked we had such a warm welcome, it had a sense of "Home" and has a very peaceful atmosphere away from all the hustle and bustle.
The staff were helpful and very friendly.
The room was beautiful and clean, and the bed was soooooo comfy and the view from the room was spectacular.
They went out of their way to make it a special stay as it was my partners birthday and left a special gift in the room which he enjoyed :)
We enjoyed all our meals on our balcony taking full advantage of the Amazing room service (Had a Sirloin Steak for supper which was divine
and delicious full breakfast ( breakfast which is included in the price) with the best Blue Berry muffins i have ever had )
Also the Location is perfect as everything you would need is there (super convenient) with a lot of restaurants close-by and can go for lovely walk to enjoy the dock.
It was very hard to leave, Quayside will definitely be seeing me again, for a LONGER STAY :D

On arrival, check-in was timely and swift but I now believe that was due to the power cuts South Africa experiences several times a day.
Room was bigger than expected but on close inspection there was grime in-between the grooves on the desk/dressing table and the vanity unit in the bathroom. I would not normally notice stuff like this but as the internet went off art least 4-5 hours per day, i had to try and find something to do :).
I get there are power cuts across South Africa but there was no prior warning in this hotel, as there was in the previous hotel I'd stayed in and waking up to find I couldn't have a cup of tea one morning was not fun. The power went off on a Sunday morning at 8am. Equally, as in the previous hotel in Johannesburg, the generator kicked in and restored some services such as the WIFI but in the aha Simon's Town Quayside Hotel all services apart from emergency lights remained off.
If aha Simon's Town Quayside Hotel want to continue to appeal to international travellers without access to mobile Data (or without having to fork out a fortune on roaming data, i believe they need to upgrade to a more efficient generator as from what I have read, the power outages are going to increase.
to add insult to injury, on our final day not only was electricity lacking, so was water as we had no water to attend to out personal care for our long journey back to the UK. I was informed someone would come and look at it but this never happened.

Good day Steph O, Thank you for taking the time to post a review online following your recent stay with us. I do apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during load shedding- I completely understand your frustrations. We are actively looking into a back up power solution to run some basic services (Wifi) and hope to have it installed as soon as possible. With regards to the water outage, unfortunately there was a burst pipe in the area which resulted in the water being turned off to the lower parts of Simon's Town while they carried out the repairs. We were not informed of this shut off so could not forewarn our guests. a situation beyond our control. We trust that you had a safe trip home and we do hope to have the opportunity to host you again at the hotel should you return to South Africa- I trust that we will have a back up power solution inplace. With Kind Regards

100% in everything. From walking in to departing. View, location, staff, beds, everything 100%. We requested a room that was excisable with a wheelchair, and we got even more. A shower catering for paraplegics, wide open spaces with easy entrance and exit.

The hotel is right by the harbor and a sea-view room gave us stunning views of the harbor and the False Bay. it is close to everything the town has to offer, pretty much everything is walking distance which is a bonus.
The Saveur restaurant shares the same beautiful view of the harbor and the breakfast is different and yummy. I even got spoiled with desert for breakfast - a yummy fruit foundue of wine poached apples and creme anglaise with a crumb. YUM
Thank you for a lovely stay.

I don't know how much it costs, because we always tailored our arrival so that we managed to get a guest space.
